Abstract

At the present time corporate business combinations are occurring frequently as they have in two previous periods of American history. The purpose of this study is to examine the two accounting methods which are now used to record business combinations and to study the consequences of having two methods for recording similar business combinations.

The criteria used to choose between the two accounting methods are examined. It is found that the criteria used are unacceptable for selecting one of the alternative methods.

It was also done to determine the factors that were responsible for the decision of the employee to terminate. Both job related and non job related factors were studied. Any training which the food service supervisor may receive in administration, nutrition and food preparation will aid in achieving this goal. No training program for food service supervisors in Seventh-day Adventist institutions in Mexico has been available. The plan for a two week workshop for food service supervisors was thus developed as a step toward meeting this need.

This paper is concerned with a personnel management problem at a research and development laboratory. An indirective interviewing program had been in existence for ten years. It had as its major goals:

In the past decade, beginning near the termination of the Korean conflict, an ever increasing percentage of defense appropriations ahs been going toward basic development work - - primarily the development of weapons and interrelated defense systems. Traditionally, this type of work has been contracted for on a cost-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF) basis, the dollar amount of which has been rising steadily. The study analyzed the manner in which the five leading utility aircraft companies conducted their sales training activities, the reasons for their methods of sales training, and the problems encountered in their sales training program. Many legislative debates within recent years have centered themselves upon this controversial question without obtaining any definite answers. Consumer credit has become an area of major importance in the financial planning of most, if not all, families in the United States. In absolute amounts, total consumer credit extended had increased more than 11 times, from $5,665 million to $63,164 million, since the end of World War II to 1962; and total installment credit had increased more than 19 times.
