Economic pressures on rural livelihoods in Botswana are ever-increasing, especially for peripheral areas where resources harnessed for tourism purposes are prevalent. One of the avenues to achieve this balancing act is the Community-Based Natural Resource Management (CBNRM) program of Botswana, which devolved management of resources to local communities to incentivise conservation through hunting tourism. However, due to questions over hunting sustainability as a conservation tool by conservation non-governmental organizations and animal rights groups, trophy hunting was banned in Botswana in 2014. Since 1950, women ages 16 and older in Utah have increased their labor force participation from 24.5%¹ to 60.7%.² This is higher than the overall labor force participation rate of US women, which is 56.1%.³ According to the most recent US Census Bureau estimates from 2021, women in Utah now make up 44.2%⁴ (slightly higher than 43.9% in 2015)⁵ of the state workforce, which is lower than the US women’s share of the national workforce, 47.4%⁶ (which remains the same from 2015).⁷

The case introduces the students to Ozgene, an Australian firm that experienced a dramatic reduction in lead time of their products because of implementation of Lean principles. The case can be used in undergraduate or graduate courses in operations management or supply chain management as an introduction to Lean principles. This dataset came from the research paper "Sustainably engaging student personal development in a distracting digital world through experiential goal setting and weekly goal tracking" coauthored by the researchers. The project examines the effects of student weekly goal tracking reports on student goal achievement. It also examines the effect of SMART goal elements and if the goal is sustainability focused. It controls for student biological sex and for student work team drama. Using student goal achievement (0/1) as the dependent variable, the authors apply binary logistic regression analysis to the data.

This thesis research tests the historical usefulness and desirability of pasture, rangeland, and forage insurance for ranchers in Utah. PRF insurance is specifically for ranchers who own livestock and rely on their livestock to graze in the fields for food consumption. If there is inadequate precipitation, there will be less grass growth for livestock which causes ranchers to purchase hay, leading to higher feed costs. It is similar to other insurance policies requiring premium and indemnity payments. By analyzing the historical payments, a decisive conclusion can be made that PRF suits both ranchers and USDA policymakers. Other studies that discussed …

Sexual misconduct remains at crisis levels on American college campuses and is vastly underreported. Most research focuses on individual level risks of assault and perpetration, yet campuses vary significantly in sexual offenses and reporting rates. The current study responds to calls to consider institutional factors that shape campus climates for sexual misconduct and reporting. We consider the role of gender in leadership, analyzing the impact of women's appointment as college president on reporting rates over time.
