"Literature for life" is a unique type of Thai contemporary literature. It has risen to prominence in the history of Thai contemporary literature in at least two periods. The first period was between A.D.1947 and 1957 and the second was the October 14, 1973-October 6, 1976 era. This paper considers Virginia Woolf the publisher alongside Virginia Woolf the author. While the Hogarth Press has long been known for making Woolf "the only woman in England free to write what I like," it also made her free to be published as she liked. Hogarth, Jane Marcus argues, "gave Woolf a way of negotiating the terms of literary publicity, and a space somewhere between the private, the coterie, and the public sphere" (144-5). 我選擇小說創作作為畢業論文是因為我對創作很有興趣，這種興趣在二年級的中文創作課中得到鼓勵及發展，因此我渴望藉著畢業論文的機會再次磨練我的寫作技巧。

在大學這三年中，我所讀過的小說不少，由中國古代的傳奇、話本小說到現代、當代的小說以及香港、台灣的現代文學都讀了很多。除了文學知識的掌握外，更使我對小說創作躍躍欲試。一年級的文學概論及二年級的文學批評課也使我了解一些文學批評方法，例如給結構主義、符號學、意識流、心理分析等。這些批評方法不僅有助我對文本的理解，在我嘗試運用在小說創作中也有一定的幫助，使我能用不同的角度去構思文章布局。這篇創作也是我以所學習到的文學理論及文學技巧在結構、心理分析、敘述角度等方面作一次綜合運用。

小說創作使我有機會表達一些我對周圍事物的觀察和對生活的感受。我的小說還選取了生活的一個小片段，寫女主人公在地車被一個陌生男子吸引，由這個日常生活小插曲開始，寫女主角異想天開的尋人啟示，和相遇後的失望。透過女主人公的角度寫一種對陌生人的感覺，表面很接近，但內心的距離很遠，無法溝通的感覺。另外，透過男女主角日常生活的境況，寫一種都市人生活焦慮不安，不滿足刻板生活的狀況。兩者共同之處是敏感孤寂的內心世界和疏離隔絕的人際關係。都市生活中人很渴望有心靈之間的交流，然而城市的變化之快、人與人心靈的微妙的競爭與惻度，都使人既渴望又不能擺脫孤立的境狀。這些都是我平時對生活對事物的點滴感受，現在以另一種方式表達出來。同時在寫作的過程中，也讓我時時反省自己對生活對事物對人的各種不同的態度和看法。這些看法原來都是很粗糙模糊的，但通過寫作過程中的反思，使種種印象清晰具體起來，并且能進一步了解這些看法是怎樣形成的。

在這篇文章的結構上，我把男女主角部分開，先寫女主角部份，再寫男主角部份那樣相隔孤立地寫，甚至到最後相見的一部份也是以這種方式分開來寫。我想製造一種隔絕無法溝通的效果。這樣分開來寫，女主角比較主動，男主角比較被動，儘管如此，他們最後的處境都是孤立的，正有殊途同歸之感。

男女主角的部分，我都用第一人稱 “我” 來敘述。第一人稱的好處是能深入到小說人物的內心，讓他們以獨自的形式來表達內心的感受。在寫最後相見的部分時，我曾經嘗試用第三人稱的寫法來寫最後的結局，讓小說的敘事角度比較豐富些。但完成後發現人稱的不統一令小說看起來很突兀，於是又轉回使用第一叫人稱。

除了這些，寫作的過程中也遇到不少困難。例如男女主角敘述語氣的掌握。女主角的敘述語氣比較容易掌握，這可能是作者也是女性，比較容易體察女性的內心感受之故。但男主角部分對於我來說則比較難掌握。初時，遇到的問題是男主角的語氣比較軟， 像女性說話多些。經導師的指導，男主角說話的語氣應該硬朗些。如何做到這個效果呢?在導師的啟發和幫助下，我把男主角敘述中的助語詞一一刪減，例如 “的”、“地”、“呢”、“嗎” 等。這在塑造比較硬朗的語氣方面很有幫助。然而這也不是一味去掉這些語氣助詞就可以解決問題的。小說人物說話語氣成了一個我很感興趣而還須多下苦功的寫作課題。要掌握好人物說話時的語氣、用字遣詞的技巧，來自於日常生活的觀察與模倣，因為創作的關係，令我對這些平時不太留意的細節關注起來。

在語言方面，我曾經嘗試用廣東話寫男主角的部分，這是為了更突出男主角的形象一一沒有唸太多書，愛時髦，在日本料理店當廚師的典型的香港年輕人。我想使他更生活化，又想把男女主角兩個人更清楚地區分。開始時我在對話中使用了很多廣東口語。然而後來，我發現口語的運用不只是 “我手寫我口” 般簡單，而是也需要很準確的拿捏，既要形象生動，又不要過量使用讓人誤會是寫白字、語法不通。後來我只在部分對話中用一點廣東話，保持文章的流暢。口語的運用也是日後我在閱讀與寫作中感興趣及會更關注的地方。

男主角方面，我想塑造一個比較被動的人物，處於一種對現實無奈、對生活冷淡怠懶的狀態中。原來寫的時候沒有深入發掘他這種態皮的成因，因此人物比較單薄，總像缺少些什麼。後來在導師的啟發下，幾次修改後，我試著發掘男主角對生活的冷淡態度的成因。我把他寫為一個因達不到女友 “上進” 要求而被拋棄的人。 “失戀” 這個原因可以看作是生活的一個打擊，也是達不到社會主流價值要求而被否定的報表現。這會使人產生去畏懼、冷淡、困惑之感。這樣使人物形象比較豐富些和自然些。

為了使畢業習作更加豐富些，在寫作的時候我也閱讀其他小說，從中學習。我覺得環境細節的描寫對突出小說的場景氣氛、人物的內心感受有很大的作用，因此我嘗試多用些細節的描寫，例如 “包餃子” 的描寫， “蠟燭花燈” 的描寫，我希望以此來突出人物的內心世界。

在心理方間，我想探索人內心的微妙變化。在車上或在什麼地偶然遇到一個令人印象深刻是很常有的事，但很快便過去或遺忘，因為沒法再遇見第二次。女主角寫尋人啟示，也是更多一點自造情懷的意味。當兩人真正相見時，又被各自的心情、生活背景、主觀猜測所左右，難以溝通。其他人的一句話，在另一個人心裡所產生的曲折細緻，或者驚濤駭浪的反映，都是需要仔細觀察的。

這是人內心經歷各種事件，各種心理感受積累起來，一被牽動，便一環扣一環地傳遞，引發各種意想不到的效果。除了對陌生的人的感受，作為男女主角相見的心理背景，我也寫小說人物對家庭、朋友的感受。儘管是很親密的人，其中也有陰閉的角落，加上人物的主觀感受，形成人物的各種心理。在種種複雜心理下所形成的，也就是難以捉摸的人與人之間的關係。

通過這次小說創作，使我增加了對日常生活的觀察，生活的點滴小事也可成為寫作的題材；對人內心世界的探索，人內心的幽微百態、感覺的纖毫敏銳，給人各種各樣的寫作材料；每個人說話的不同語氣、用字，片言只語都充滿趣味。若不是通過創作小說，需要對生活進行重新思考觀察，怎樣從已習慣的日常生活中發掘其中的有趣之處?也是通過這種反省，使自己重新認識自己，改善自己觀察能力與思考方式。

最後我想藉此機會表達我對梁秉鈞教授這一年指導的感謝。感謝他對我小說寫作的鼓勵及指導。他對事物的敏銳細緻的觀察，深入的探討，嚴謹的態度，都使我在這次畢業習作的寫作過程中獲益良多一一不僅在寫作技巧方面，更重要的，是對寫作嚴謹認真的態度。

The production of Minotaur was not only a reinterpretation of an ancient Greek myth, but an opportunity for Latino hip-hop artists to pass down a cultural tradition to the next generation. Latino artists situated hip-hop as a social movement, and the teen performers physically embodied this in the songs and dance. In this way, the Athenian rebellion became the breaking of stereotypes often associated with urban youths. The performers beautifully portrayed this act of resistance when Theseus took Minos’ golden crown, wore it, and passed it down for all the Athenians to wear.
