Serviced apartments are becoming more mainstream as people become more aware of this asset class. Since the onset of Covid-19, people have opted for serviced apartments instead of a hotel for self-contained, typically with more space with a living area, kitchen and access to laundry facilities throughout the pandemic. Combined with lower operating costs, higher profit margin, and lower cost per key at development revealed the financial resilience of this asset class as most serviced apartments operated at a higher occupancy than hotels. The food delivery market has grown over 52% since the start of the pandemic. This report analyzes the Southern Nevada employment ecosystem by utilizing occupational clusters recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor. The first section examines occupations in the tourism industry using three occupational clusters: hospitality and leisure; arts, audio/video technology and communications; and the transportation, distribution, and logistics. Next, this report utilizes the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance’s 2022 Workforce Blueprint to identify the top 15 in-demand occupations for Southern Nevada and occupational clusters. This study was carried out to emphasize the negative effects of the tourism sector on the environment through an example accommodation business. The research examined the environmental awareness policies of an accommodation business within the framework of the "Environmental Purity " principle set forth by UNEP and UNWTO. The research was designed according to the case study pattern based on qualitative research methods. In this research, the business was evaluated in terms of the quality certification systems, energy saving, waste management and the visibility of environmental awareness policies in social networks.
