El Quijote representa la cumbre de la literatura hispánica y su historia es la historia de una transformación. Este artículo se centra en el primer capítulo del libro primero de El Quijote, con el fin de ofrecer un análisis e interpretación de las causas que llevaron a Alonso Quijano a la locura y, con ella, a la transformación en Don Quijote de la Mancha. Para ello, se ofrecerá un análisis del estatus social del hidalgo empobrecido de la época, así como un análisis del temperamento y carácter que Cervantes ofreció en su obra.

The present paper aims to highlight the relationship between Don Quixote and his steed Rocinante, which constitutes a direct parallel that will be extrapolated to the iconographic plane, varying depending on the historical moment. To achieve this objective we will establish a chronology of the main illustrated editions of Don Quixote, which analyzes the most important images of each character based on the art and thought of the respective period. LFA offers resources to adults in the community by offering a variety of classes in literacy, English language, and Adult Basic Education. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, much of the learning at LFA has transitioned to the online learning portal, Burlington English. However, the fact that Burlington English is presented and written in English poses a large barrier to the accessibility of online learning material. Open-flame cooking, the central cooking approach used by some three billion individuals across the globe, primarily in developing countries, poses serious health and environmental risks. While some countries have begun to transition to cleaner stoves, this effort has confronted widespread resistance. People who have been using this ancient cooking method and whose culinary traditions rely on this cooking approach have remained recalcitrant in their efforts to continue cooking the traditional way. Spaces For Becomings? Heterotopic Fictions In Preciado’S Testo Yonqui, Caroline King

This article examines the possibilities and limits of gender becomings in Paul Preciado’s book Testo yonqui (Testo Junkie). A genre-fluid “body-essay,” his text theorizes a departure from gender through contemporary medicine. Following Preciado in his self-administration of testosterone, the book labels today’s reality a “pharmacopornographic era,” a new iteration of Foucault’s biocapitalism. After designating Preciado’s self-generated transformations as becomings, I explore how the book’s heterotopic spaces––including its genre––facilitate Preciado’s forward-moving gender identity. A Foucauldian term, heterotopia has not yet been applied to Testo Junkie, however it offers insight into the book’s potential to motivate individuals to …

On the one hand, she examines the evolution of this fantastic motif in order to determine whether it involves a transformation of how the feminine fantastic is represented.
