Africa: Adventist Mission In Africa: Challenges & Prospect, Gorden R. Doss
Books
The great continent of Africa plays a very significant role in global Christianity. A century ago African Christians constituted a tiny fraction of world Christianity but today Africa is a major player in the global faith.
Among Seventh-day Adventists, Africa occupies a significant place, having something over a third of the total world membership. The highest ratios of Seventh-day Adventists to the population are in parts of southern Africa. At the same time, other parts of Africa have only a miniscule Christian presence and the lowest ratios of Adventists to the population in the world. This contrasting picture of evangelization …

Problem
Many Africans and members of other traditional societies of the world who still hold to a supernaturalistic and spiritualistic worldview visit diviners, shamans, spiritualistic herbalists, and the traditional medicine men and women who use enchantments, divination, charms, invocation of the spirit world, etc. They engage in such practices for various reasons which include, to diagnose and treat various ailments, both physical and psychological which plague their clients, a quest to know the future through divination, and also for the preparation of different kinds of charms and medicines. Christians, including some Yoruba Adventists, also engage in such consultations, a practice …

This research project attempts to determine whether the Walk to Emmaus, as only one medium, correlates to the strength of a Christian‘s religious faith. The research project incorporated a quantitative research design using three instruments for crossvalidation purposes and a researcher-designed demographic questionnaire. The three research instruments used were the Santa Clara Strength of Religious Faith Questionnaire, the Duke Religion Index, and the Age Universal Religious Orientation Survey. The three quantitative instruments used tested the consistency of the results obtained through the different research instruments. The demographic instrument sought personal information concerning age, religious faith history, gender, and participation with …

Career Counseling Program For The South Ghana Conference Of Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Samuel Amoh
Doctor of Ministry Projects
Statement of Problem. A large number of converts into Seventh-day Adventist churches in South Ghana Conference (SGC) are young adults in colleges and universities. These educational institutions do not offer career counseling or job placement guidance to help these young adults choose programs and fields of study that match their abilities and talents and develop their potentials. Instead, the schools usually impose on students a particular field of study. The lack of appropriate guidance has led to a large number of graduates who are either unemployed or underemployed. A negative residual effect is seen in the physical, mental, spiritual, and …

Un Programa De Renovacion Vocacional Para Los Pastores De La Asociacion De Baja California, Mexico, Saul Barcelo Guerrero
Doctor of Ministry Projects
Problem. The pastors of the Seventh-day Adventist Conference of Baja California, Mexico, are a key factor in the development and implementation of the mission, but over the years, some of them not only lose energy, but also the vision and motivation to move on and have a tendency to stop supporting and promoting the ministry work program. This thesis aims to develop and suggest a program that can renew the motivation of those pastors who have forgotten their calling, in addition to helping maintain the provision and ongoing development of those who have given their lives to church service with …
