論<嫦娥>神話 : 月亮神話的不死性, Kok Cheung

在中國，人人對嫦娥神話故事都耳熟能詳，而每每提起嫦娥，都總會聯想到中秋佳節。然而，嫦娥的故事在先秦古籍中的記載，卻是十分短小，只有寥寥十數字，簡單交代嫦娥服下不死藥奔月的情節。朝代變化，世代遷移，嫦娥神話也有著自己的更新，故事情節在加入不同角色後得以豐富、完整，如其夫君羿、奔月後化為蟾蜍，既有後人為他們的悲劇故事改寫成一個大團圓結局，亦有小說視嫦娥為譏舌女子甚至妓女。換而言之，在時代變遷，和文人雅士在文學作品屢加修改的多番變化以後，嫦娥神話的原始內涵已經被淡化，後世也因此而對她評價不一。

晚明時筆記小品興盛，大量筆記、隨筆小品出現。筆記小品包括的體裁不限於文或詩，內容更包羅萬有，有像呂坤《呻吟語》、洪應明《菜根譚》等記載處世之道和人生哲理的作品，也有像袁宏道就曾寫《瓶史》講述插花藝術的作品，這些筆記小品的內容大可按篇目內容分類。

而明末清初易代之際，筆記小品的內容和思想有所變化。一些明朝遺民創作了不少追憶故國的回憶錄。值得注意的是，這些回憶錄內容追憶過去的美好生活，內容上除了大量書寫繁華、熱鬧城市的生活風景外，對青樓和妓女的記錄和描寫更是特別豐富。這樣豐富的記載除了來自書生才子與她們相處的生活經驗，更有意藉描寫這些妓女來表達一些個人感受。然而當時文字獄極盛，文人不敢隨意抒發個人心聲，很容易被捕風捉影招致殺身之禍。這些心聲往往顯得隱晦不明。

余懷在《板橋雜記》的〈序〉提到這本書是「有為而作」，更指書中所記的金陵佳麗和勝地均繫「一代之興衰，千秋之感慨」，並不是為艷冶而記。本文旨在結合歷史語境，透過分析余懷在《板橋雜記》中對妓院和妓女的記錄和描寫，了解他收錄妓女事跡的原因，並藉此探討「有為而作」所指的寫作目的。

一直想寫一篇關於人與城市的故事，構思時恰是雨傘運動爆發之始。我走到三個佔領區的街頭，觀察那裡的環境和群眾。我發現各式各樣、獨一無二的人，這些人大多本不相識，甚或一生都應緣慳一面，但他們因著同一件事在同一段日子走到街上，遇上彼此。這些人有怎樣的性格、身分、人生？外在的環境和過去的生活如何影響他們？

故事涉及的時間長度只從雨運醞釀期間直到爆發前的一瞬，即二零一四年八月三十一日到九月二十八日之間，從政改決定直至第一顆催淚彈之前。我選擇這一段時間而不是雨運的期間，是因為我想探討人的變化，而不是決定。這是一切彷彿還在「常態」中的日子，大部份人仍然照常生活，期間有關政改、罷課、重奪公民廣場等等的輿論愈來愈多。我想發掘的是這些後來出現、或者不出現在佔領區的人，在這段時間的心路歷程。面對城市的變化，人物的角色定位與價值取態會有怎樣的改變？人與城市之間的連結，在世界被「扭轉」的時候，又變成了什麼樣的存在？若常規逐漸被挑戰，城市環境面臨抽空，在「烏托邦」下，城市人原來的角色身份會有怎樣的變化？我想通過探討不同身份背景的人物的平凡日常、行為與思想，窺探出他們的生活態度及價值觀，描述他們面對社會從正常到異常的轉化過程時的心理轉變，並讓讀者自行推斷人物的「結局」。

蕭紅在香港的生活與《呼蘭河傳》, Yuen Yee Wong

女性、愛情、自由、革命、叛逆、逃亡、寂寞……每一個詞放在蕭紅身上都別有意味。2014年，許鞍華電影《黃金時代》再一次掀起了蕭紅熱。蕭紅是中國現代文學史上一個獨特的女作家，也是逐漸受學界重視的作家之一。隨著近年來蕭紅研究的不斷深入，這個具有傳奇和悲劇色彩的女作家，她絕世的文學才華也逐漸展露眼前。

香港，作為她重要作品的孕育之地，某程度上也成就了蕭紅的寫作及文學地位。《呼蘭河傳》是蕭紅的重要代表作之一，也是在香港寫畢的作品之一。許子東教授認為：「中日戰爭期間，作為租界的香港受英國人管治，成為可讓懷抱不同政治立場的人與當下處境拉開距離的避風港，給予作家逃離專制政府的機會，蕭紅也就是在這個環境下完成《呼蘭河傳》。

雖然蕭紅在來香港前已經成名，但在香港時期的創作才真正地讓她名聲大噪起來。因著對蕭紅研究的深入，長篇小說《呼蘭河傳》也被研究者們從各個角度、各個層面進行了挖掘和闡釋，揭示出這部經典作品的現實性。故本論文的重心意在探討「蕭紅是在如何的寫作環境中創作了《呼蘭河傳》」的核心主題之上。換句話說，研究背後究竟是什麼原動力或原因促使蕭紅創作《呼蘭河傳》正是本論文的寫作目標。

蕭紅與她其後的丈夫端木蕻良一起來到香港不久，正好碰上日軍侵襲、香港淪陷之時。她死於香港，使論者總禁不住藉此想像著她與香港的浪漫關係。這也是吸引論者研究蕭紅的最大原因。香港對蕭紅來說也許意義並不大，但許多偶然的因素導致她在這裡成就了她的文學人生。故本論文將會集中細看蕭紅在香港時期的經歷，並結合其遭遇探討《呼蘭河傳》得以問世的原因。在香港這麼南、呼蘭河這麼北的地方，家鄉和避難之地相隔如此遙遠，《呼蘭河傳》可謂是蕭紅一次精神返鄉的旅程。

This thesis aims to examine the ways in which women are used as vehicles within the noh and kabuki theatre traditions to perpetuate moral and religious doctrine. Using the theoretical frameworks of Michel Foucault, Judith Butler, and Jill Dolan, I examine two plays which feature a female demon as their antagonist, Momijigari and Dojoji, and focus on the ways they incorporate Buddhist and Neo-Confucian ideology in their respective noh and kabuki renditions.

In "I, Stereotype," Seo-Young Chu applies Mori's theory of the uncanny valley not to robots but to a different species of humanoid artifact: stereotypes of the "yellow peril." Through analyses of stories by Sax Rohmer, World War Two propaganda, and films from the Bond franchise, Chu investigates ways in which the logic of the uncanny valley has interacted with and shaped Orientalist and techno-Orientalist stereotypes (as well as the stereotype-as-a-perceived-type-of-person more generally). This article is set against the post-Mao official discourse on modernity, in which the conceptualization of a homogeneous, progressive time dominates the public consciousness. The focus is on Han Shaogong, one of the most important writers and cultural theorists in contemporary China, and on how he imagines a heterogeneous spatiotemporality away from the centralized and teleological paradigm. Han’s emphasis on the heterogeneity of time and space puts the homogenized, Hegelian-Marxist, developmentalist logic at the core of China’s modernization project into question. This article examines the representation of violence in Jia Zhangke's film A Touch of Sin (2013) in light of Žižek's theory of ‘objective violence’ and the wuxia tradition. Jia attempts to understand the rise of individual violent incidents during China's post-socialist transformations by laying out the social, historical and political milieus in which they take place. He unveils the Žižekian objective violence hidden in the realm of social normality, pinpointing the country's sins of collusion with the global capital to impose injustice on the poor and disadvantaged. After the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, approximately 120,000 people of Japanese ancestry living on the west coast of the United States were forcibly removed from their home communities. These people were designated as "evacuees" by the U.S. Government and were incarcerated within a network of federal government facilities the largest of which were internment centers operated by the War Relocation Authority that held mostly U.S. citizens. The Granada Relocation Center (Amache) was the smallest of these internment centers. Previous research shows that during the period of Japanese American internment gardening became a popular activity for the interned. Primarily approached historically, little work has been conducted to archaeologically analyze the efforts of landscaping by former internees. Gardening activity can paint a better picture of Japanese American identity during the period of forced confinement. This research investigates internee gardens methodologically through surface survey, ground penetrating radar, excavation, oral history, soil chemistry, archaeobotany, and palynology. George Clayton Foulk, the 1^st Naval Attaché to the United States Legation and the 2^nd U.S. Minister to Korea, brought his intellectual ability and passion to this East Asian country. In this general equilibrium model, firms engage in oligopolistic competition and choose increasing returns technologies to maximize profits. Capital and labor are the two factors of production. The existence of efficiency wages leads to unemployment. The model is able to explain some interesting observations of the labor market. First, even though there is neither long-term labor contract nor costs of wage adjustment, wage rigidity is an equilibrium phenomenon: an increase in the exogenous job separation rate, the size of the population, the cost of exerting effort, and the probability that shirking is detected will not change the equilibrium wage rate. …
