Does One Size Fit All? Well-Being Environmental Assessment Criteria In Low- And Middle-Income Aging Communities In Thailand, Sujitra Jiravanichkul, Sarin Pinich, Atch Sreshthaputra, Trirat Jarutach

The effectiveness of well-being environment assessment criteria for aging communities in diverse contexts, particularly in developing countries, remains underexplored. This study aimed to fill this gap by employing Thailand Well-Being Environment and Age-Friendly Communities criteria to assess the living environment of 15 low- and middle-income aging communities in Thailand and determine their well-being status. The results of the overall quantitative assessment showed an average score of 60.78/100. Findings indicated high scores in categories such as healthy food environment, community open space, community asset, and street lighting, indicating a strong foundation for the well-being of low- and middle-income communities. This research article proposes the idea of the "First Home" as a pedagogical model for architectural design studios in Thailand. The objective is to foster a more humanistic approach to the foundation of architecture education by integrating histories and theories of architecture, architectural representation, and architectural design studio courses. This study addressed knowledge gaps in Thai inclusive education research and proposed strategies for improvement, with three key objectives: (1) synthesize and compare research on inclusive education across urban and rural universities; (2) analyze the topic trends in international inclusive education research; and (3) propose strategic guidelines for promoting inclusive education in Thailand. This study investigates the factors that influence international labor migration from Timor-Leste, with a focus on South Korea under the Employment Permit System. An extended gravity model was employed using bilateral migration data for 29 destination countries from 2000 to 2024 to assess the impact of economic size, geographic distance, trade relations, and migration policy regimes on migration flows. Migration is significantly influenced by political factors, such as formal recruitment channels and visa availability, and a positive correlation is observed between migration arrangements and bilateral exports. This study investigates how Indonesian architects navigate between global green building rating tools (GBRTs) and context-specific design strategies across different project types and scales. Using a comparative analysis of sixteen award-winning projects by six Indonesian architects, the research combines semi-structured interviews with document review and inductive coding to map design logics against core GBRT categories. This mixed-methods case study on Osceola County, Florida examines how participatory barriers shape planning outcomes for Latino communities within single member district systems. Demographic transformation has shaped Osceola into one of three Hispanic/Latino majority counties. For Latinos, unique barriers to civic access exist, with the potential for exclusion in planning processes. The research bridges participatory planning theory with theories supporting single-member district electoral representation by evaluating whether district-level governance mitigates inequities where civic engagement is constrained. This study examines the influence of Hall current and nth-order chemical reaction on unsteady three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) Williamson nanofluid flow over an inclined stretching sheet. The model incorporates thermal radiation, heat source, Brownian motion, and thermophoresis effects. The governing nonlinear partial differential equations are transformed into a system of ordinary differential equations using similarity transformations and solved numerically using the shooting method with a fourth-order Runge–Kutta scheme. The results indicate that an increase in the magnetic parameter significantly reduces velocity profiles while enhancing temperature and concentration distributions. Mechanical performance of banana fiber-reinforced polyester composites maximized using a composite Taguchi and a Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) process. This will aim at enhancing dispensation limits to enhance better tensile, flexural and impact belongings. The hand lay-up method was used to create composites by variable three key limits and they included banana fiber content (30 wt%), copper nanoparticle content (15 wt%), and curing temperature (80 o C). Evaluating Matching Frontier Methods For Crash Modification Factor Estimation, Usama Elrawy Shahdah, Eman K . Ali, Sania Reyad Elagamy

This study evaluates "matching frontier" methods against conventional approaches for estimating Crash Modification Factors (CMFs). Thirty-four method-model combinations were tested, including 16 frontier variants, 8 propensity-score-matching algorithms with negative binomial and mixed-effects models, and two benchmarks (empirical Bayes and cross-sectional), across multiple sample sizes and three true CMF values (0.80, 1.00, and 1.30). Of these, 30 converged successfully; 4 mixed-effects models with replacement-based matching failed due to duplicate control observations. Each scenario was evaluated across 10 Monte Carlo replications to quantify performance uncertainty.

Accurate rice mapping is challenging due to the lack of a simple, efficient approach and the complexity and limited ability of existing methods to distinguish rice fields from non-rice fields. This study proposes two novel indices: the Multispectral Rice Detection Index (MRDI), which utilises optical imagery, and the OptiRadar Rice Index (ORRI), which incorporates both optical and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data. Ground-truth data from the Cropland Cropping Systems (CROS) were used to assess the performance of both indices. This project proposes the Childhood Through Motion (CTM) Framework, which reimagines how everyday mobility corridors can support children’s development through repeated engagement with integrated interventions along key neighborhood routes. Building on existing approaches such as Safe Routes to School and Playful Learning Landscapes, the framework integrates mobility, play, learning, and social interaction into a connected system of corridors and nodes distributed throughout a neighborhood street network. Rather than treating mobility, play, and learning as separate, the framework explores how developmental opportunities can be integrated into the public spaces children use every day.
