This study investigates the physicochemical and mechanical performance of cementitious composites incorporating fluidized bed combustion (FBC) ash under accelerated carbon dioxide (CO₂) curing. FBC ash, due to its high contents of free calcium oxide (CaO) and sulfate (SO₃), has been reported to cause challenges, such as volume instability and lower early-age strength. To address these limitations, CO2 curing was applied to promote accelerated carbonation and stabilize the hydration products. Energy consumption is increasing every day due to the proliferation of smart homes and smart household appliances, which deplete existing energy resources. Therefore, efficient energy management by accurately predicting energy consumption is critical. In this paper, a hybrid prediction model is proposed to forecast energy consumption in smart homes using weather data. The proposed system follows five steps: data acquisition, data preprocessing, feature selection, prediction, and hyperparameter optimization. In the data acquisition step, all attributes except the weather attributes are removed. The adiabatic potential energy curves for the lowest singlet and triplet electronic states in the representations 2S+1Λ+/- and Ω(+/-) (with and without spin-orbit coupling) of the molecule AlI have been computed by using the complete active space self-consistent field (CASSCF) with multireference configuration interaction (MRCI+Q) method. The spectroscopic constants ωe, Re, Be, and Te have been calculated. Using the canonical quantum mechanics approach, the rovibrational constants Ev, Bv, Dv, Rmin, and Rmax were calculated for the low-lying electronic states with and without spin-orbit coupling. A comparison between our calculated values and those available in the literature reveals excellent agreement.

Obesity is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular and metabolic disorders and contributes to the leading cause of death in the US — heart disease. Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists (RAs) have recently emerged as a treatment option for obesity. Downtown Dallas has undergone substantial growth, yet major streets and bridge corridors continue to prioritize vehicular movement, resulting in fragmented and uncomfortable pedestrian environments. This condition is especially evident along the Commerce Bridge corridor, where narrow sidewalks, high traffic volumes, and unclear crossings limit safe and accessible movement between Downtown and West Dallas. Natural fibre composites offer a sustainable alternative to conventional composite materials. Their mechanical efficiency is influenced by laminate structure and skin material selection. This study presents a comparative finite element analysis and optimisation of coir fibre-reinforced laminates employing either aluminium skins or carbon cloth skins. COMSOL Multiphysics was used to determine their mechanical response. Optimisation was performed using the BOBYQA algorithm to enhance load sharing between the coir core and skin materials. Results indicated that aluminium-skinned laminates achieve superior compressive and flexural performance, achieving a peak compressive strength of 210 MPa and sustaining a flexural load of 0.65 kN at …

The dual behavior of Elli’s fluid motivated us to work on it. The fluid behaves as both Newtonian/ non-Newtonian based on the low and high shear rates, respectively. The paper focused on the flow of Ellis fluid in a peristaltic channel with wall properties and heat transfer. The channel is symmetric in nature, and slip conditions are considered near the elastic walls. Cities face increasing pressure from rapid urbanization, aging gray infrastructure, intensifying rainfall, and uneven flood protection. In this context, green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) and other nature-based solutions are increasingly promoted as tools for climate adaptation, flood resilience, and environmental justice. Yet a central planning challenge remains: how to identify where GSI should be prioritized when flood-related physical burden, weak environmental protection, social vulnerability, and lower recovery capacity overlap. In his work, Barragán explores the use of color, light, and emotion as central elements and the ways in which they transform sacred space into an embodied, contemplative experience. There is also a comparison to other churches and other similar projects that were done during the same time period, specifically in Mexico.
