The Moffett Collection on Korean Church History and Asian Christianity (Moffett Korea Collection) is housed in the Theodore Sedgwick Wright Library at Princeton Theological Seminary, New Jersey. Samuel Hugh Moffett (1916–2015, H. Moffett, Ma Samrak in Korean) and his wife Eileen Flower Moffett (1928– ) officially gifted the collection to the library on March 16, 1994. The collection consists of personal papers of the couple, manuscripts, publications, photographs, clippings, and objects they brought from Korea. The impact of the general layout of commercial streets and their orientation relative to prevailing wind direction on urban comfort due to natural ventilation is unknown. To study the natural airflow pattern in the commercial street mall, this research investigates the impact of different building layouts on airflow characteristics. To do this we conduct a parametric CFD simulation for 12 simulation cases, in which the commercial street layout changes to include secondary streets in four different cases. This study aims to apply the five urban design qualities identified by Reid Ewing and Otto Clemente in a different context. To conduct this empirical study, Bangkok was selected to exemplify a car-dependent city, and three Bangkok streets were chosen for study. The measurement of streetscape qualities was carried out using two approaches, objective and subjective, which were then compared in order to gain insight. Indoor environmental quality (IEQ) has become an important component of building design because people tend to spend the majority of their time indoors. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the occupants’ overall perceived Quality of Life (QoL) experience in two green and two non-green office buildings. All four buildings are situated in Klang Valley, Malaysia, and they are open-plan office buildings. 162 questionnaires were administered to assess the relationship between individuals' perceived QoL and IEQ factors. This research investigates practical methods to improve the efficiency of natural ventilation in residential units of multi-family high-rises without additional areas. Typical studio- and one-bedroom-types of small units were redesigned using: 1) air post, 2) transom window, 3) buffer space with one corridor opening and 4) buffer space with two corridor openings. The simulation study using a CFD program to reveal that the indoor average air velocity coefficient (Cv ) in the best redesigned case (0.46) significantly improves from the base case (0.01). The influence of elevated temperatures on the properties of concrete is significant for study on fire resistance as well as for identifying how isolated vessels, chimneys, and containers in nuclear reactors respond under service conditions. The present experimental investigation assesses the properties of concrete containing Metakaolin (MK) that has been exposed to elevated temperatures.
