ภูเก็ตเป็นศูนย์กลางการท่องเที่ยวทางทะเลที่มีชื่อเสียงระดับโลก มีศักยภาพในการช่วยส่งเสริมอุตสาหกรรมการท่องเที่ยวไทย ธุรกิจโรงแรมและสถานพักตากอากาศระดับ 5 ดาว จึงยังคงเกิดขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง ทั้งจากเครือโรงแรมไทยและต่างชาติ โดยมีภูมิทัศน์ที่สวยงามเป็นส่วนสำคัญในการเพิ่มมูลค่า และสร้างเอกลักษณ์ให้แบรนด์โรงแรม ทั้งงานวัสดุพืชพันธุ์และงานพื้นผิวดาดแข็งและสิ่งปลูกสร้าง หากแต่การจะคงสภาพความสวยงามโดยเฉพาะวัสดุพืชพันธุ์ให้ดีอยู่เสมอ จำเป็นต้องมีการดูแลบำรุงรักษาอย่างดี และสม่ำเสมอต่อเนื่อง โดยมีปัจจัยหลายด้านที่เกี่ยวข้อง วิทยานิพนธ์ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการดูแลรักษาภูมิทัศน์สถานพักตากอากาศระดับ 5 ดาว จังหวัดภูเก็ต พื้นที่ศึกษาที่ผ่านเกณฑ์ในการคัดเลือก 3 แห่ง ได้แก่ อนันตรา ไม้ขาว ภูเก็ต วิลล่า บันยัน ทรี รีสอร์ท ภูเก็ต และโรสวู้ด ภูเก็ต มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อรวบรวมข้อมูล ค้นหาอุปสรรคและปัจจัย โดยนำผลจากการทบทวนวรรณกรรม การลงสำรวจพื้นที่ศึกษา การสัมภาษณ์ผู้ออกแบบภูมิทัศน์ ผู้จัดการงานภูมิทัศน์ และผู้ปฏิบัติงานดูแลบำรุงรักษาภูมิทัศน์ มาวิเคราะห์ วิจารณ์ และสรุปผล เพื่อเป็นแนวทางการศึกษาและนำไปประยุกต์ใช้ให้เกิดประโยชน์ต่อไป ผลจากการวิจัย พบว่า ปัจจัยทางธรรมชาติ โดยมีสภาพภูมิอากาศที่มีความชื้นตลอดปี มีฝนตกชุก ไอเค็มจากทะเล ลมมรสุม สภาพดินร่วนปนทราย ความเค็ม และขาดแคลนแหล่งน้ำจืด ประกอบกับปัจจัยด้านนโยบายและมาตรฐานเครือโรงแรม เป็นตัวกำหนดนโยบาย มาตรฐาน และความต้องการต่าง ๆ ตั้งแต่เริ่มพัฒนาโครงการ โดยทั้งสองเป็นปัจจัยตั้งต้นที่ทำให้เกิดข้อจำกัด อุปสรรค ซึ่งส่งผลกระทบต่อปัจจัยด้านอื่น ๆ ได้แก่ ปัจจัยด้านการวางผังบริเวณและการออกแบบ ปัจจัยด้านการเลือกใช้วัสดุพืชพันธุ์ และปัจจัยด้านการจัดการงานดูแลบำรุงรักษาภูมิทัศน์ และมีผลต่อการดูแลบำรุงรักษาภูมิทัศน์สถานพักตากอากาศระดับ 5 ดาว จังหวัดภูเก็ต ตามมา

แนวทางการเพิ่มพื้นที่สีเขียว และพัฒนาโครงข่ายเส้นทางสีเขียวในเขตวัฒนา กรุงเทพมหานคร, พรพิชชา นันตา

กรุงเทพมหานครมีการพัฒนาเมืองอย่างรวดเร็ว ส่งผลให้เกิดปัญหาเรื่องสิ่งแวดล้อมหลายประการจากการขยายตัวของเมือง ทำให้พื้นที่สีเขียวในเมืองลดลง ซึ่งส่งผลต่อระบบนิเวศของเมือง และสุขภาวะของประชากรที่อยู่อาศัยในกรุงเทพมหานคร จากปัญหาทำให้ทางกรุงเทพมหานครได้มีการจัดทำแผนพัฒนากรุงเทพมหานครระยะ 20 ปี (พ.ศ. 2556 – 2575) ขึ้นมา โดยมีเป้าหมายที่จะเพิ่มพื้นที่สีเขียวในรูปแบบสวนสาธารณะไม่น้อยกว่า 9 ตารางเมตรต่อคน และพื้นที่สีเขียวมีการกระจายครอบคลุมไปทั่วพื้นที่ จากข้อมูลสถิติ 2559 กรุงเทพมหานคร พบว่ามีพื้นที่สีเขียวในรูปแบบสวนสาธารณะ 6.15 ตารางเมตรต่อคน โดยเขตที่มีอัตราส่วนพื้นที่สีเขียวในรูปแบบสวนสาธารณะน้อยที่สุดคือเขตวัฒนามี 1.51 ตารางเมตรต่อคน จึงนำมาสู่งานวิจัยเพื่อหาแนวทางในการเพิ่มพื้นที่สีเขียวในรูปแบบสวนสาธารณะและเสนอการเชื่อมโยงระหว่างพื้นที่สีเขียวที่มีอยู่เดิม พื้นที่สีเขียวที่เพิ่มมาใหม่ และศูนย์รวมกิจกรรมให้เกิดเป็นโครงข่ายเส้นทางสีเขียว และเสนอแนวทางการพัฒนาเส้นทางสีเขียวในเขตวัฒนา กระบวนการศึกษาเริ่มจากการศึกษาแนวคิด ทฤษฎี กฎหมาย และนโยบายเกี่ยวกับการพัฒนาพื้นที่สีเขียวและโครงข่ายเส้นทางสีเขียว รวมถึงข้อมูลพื้นที่เขตวัฒนา เพื่อกำหนดกรอบแนวความคิดในการหาพื้นที่สีเขียว การคัดเลือกพื้นที่และเส้นทางที่มีศักยภาพในการเชื่อมโยง และปัจจัยที่ใช้เป็นเกณฑ์ในการประเมินศักยภาพพื้นที่และเส้นทาง จากการสำรวจของผู้วิจัยด้วยเกณฑ์พิจารณาของผู้วิจัย 3 ข้อ ได้แก่ กรรมสิทธิ์ที่ดิน ระดับการใช้ประโยชน์ และขนาดพื้นที่สีเขียวหรือที่ว่าง พบพื้นที่สีเขียวในรูปแบบสวนสาธารณะทั้งหมด 63 แห่ง เมื่อนำมารวมกับพื้นที่สีเขียวในรูปแบบสวนสาธารณะของเขตวัฒนาปี 2562 จากการสำรวจของกรุงเทพมหานคร ที่มีจำนวน 149 แห่ง คิดเป็นอัตราส่วน 1.69 ตารางเมตรต่อคน เขตวัฒนาจะมีพื้นที่สีเขียวในรูปแบบสวนสาธารณะทั้งหมด 212 แห่ง คิดเป็นอัตราส่วน 3.16 ตารางเมตรต่อคน โดยปัจจัยที่ใช้พิจารณาศักยภาพพื้นที่มีทั้งหมด 6 ปัจจัย และปัจจัยที่ใช้พิจารณาศักยภาพเส้นทางมีทั้งหมด 6 ปัจจัย ผลการวิจัยพบว่ามีพื้นที่ที่มีศักยภาพในการเชื่อมโยงในเขตวัฒนาจำนวนทั้งหมด 170 แห่ง และมีเส้นทางสีเขียวในเขตวัฒนาจำนวนทั้งหมด 81 เส้น เป็นเส้นทางหลัก 12 เส้น และเส้นทางรอง 69 เส้น ในงานวิจัยนี้ผู้ศึกษาได้คัดเลือกเส้นทางสีเขียวมาเสนอตัวอย่างการพัฒนาทั้งหมด 5 เส้นทาง ซึ่งเป็นเส้นทางที่มีรูปแบบแตกต่างกันเพื่อใช้เป็นต้นแบบให้กับเส้นทางสีเขียวอื่น ๆที่มีรูปแบบเดียวกันหรือคล้ายคลึงกัน ดังนี้ แนวทางการพัฒนาเส้นทางสีเขียวมี 3 เส้นทาง ได้แก่ เส้นทางริมคลองพระโขนง เส้นทางริมถนนสุขุมวิท 39 และเส้นทางริมทางรถไฟเลียบทางพิเศษเฉลิมมหานคร แนวทางการปรับปรุงเส้นทางสีเขียวมี 2 เส้นทาง ได้แก่ เส้นทางริมถนนและทางเดินลอยฟ้าบริเวณถนนสุขุมวิท …

With rapid urbanization, environmental problems like green space shortage and urban flooding become prevalent. Identifying effective policymaking and implementation is critical in order to solve these problems. This dissertation addresses four theoretical topics in the context of urban green infrastructure: policy entrepreneur, institutional response to club goods, quasi-public-private partnership, and policy goal ambiguity. Each is exemplified by a causal case study. Data were collected through participant observation, field trips, semi-structured interviews, and crowdsourcing.

This study compared elementary school playgrounds and nature explore classrooms to determine what natural play spaces can be implemented into an elementary school playground for developmental benefits. This plenary presentation summarized the principal landscape challenges and opportunities that accompany the human need for energy. Drawing from 50 years’ examining what I call “energy landscapes,” this presentation focused on land use conflicts resulting during the development of four types of renewable energy (solar, wind, geothermal, hydro), fossil fuels (mainly coal), and nuclear power (particularly siting of waste repositories and the decommissioning of generating stations). Many of the challenges derive from inherent resource characteristics, some from differences to cultural mores and histories, varying public perceptions of risk and fairness, demographic patterns, as well as jurisdictional and political differences. An international perspective to visual resource stewardship is presented in this paper. It examines the history of Great Britain’s love affair with its landscapes, then summarizes the more recent development of the European Landscape Convention, which has been embraced across much of Europe. The recognition of outstanding landscapes under the World Heritage Convention is then covered and the international Protected Areas program, which includes landscapes, is briefly summarized. Programs in several countries are reviewed. As the United States is very adequately covered in this and the 2017 conference, this paper mainly addresses other countries.

The 2019 Visual Resource Stewardship Conference: Seeking 20/20 Vision for Landscape Futures was held in October 27-30, 2019 at the Argonne National Laboratory. Four technical training workshops were offered on the first day of the conference, which was the first time for that format. Seventy-five technical papers and visual case studies were presented over 2-1/2 days with single audience format in the mornings and concurrent sessions in the afternoons.

Digitally-mediated practices of archaeological data require reflexive thinking about where archaeology stands as a discipline in regard to the ‘digital,’ and where we want to go. To move toward this goal, we advocate a historical approach that emphasizes contextual source-side criticism and data intimacy—scrutinizing maps and 3D data as we do artifacts by analyzing position, form, material and context of analog and digital sources. This Plan B Thesis is a comprehensive update to Centerville City’s Parks Master Plan. The document seeks to provide stability and continuity to Centerville’s open space infrastructure. Since the last update in 1993, the Parks Master Plan has been without regular updates to reflect the community’s needs and values. As a result, the Plan has largely been ignored and Centerville has lacked a unified vision regarding parks planning.
