Open Educational Resources (OER) are one form of digital scholarship used across the country to make education more accessible to students by removing barriers to essential course materials (such as textbooks and supplementary readings). This case shows how one university has taken steps to increase the prominence of OER in classrooms on campus while engaging in a statewide pilot project.

Faculty and peer interactions play a key role in shaping graduate student socialization. Yet, within the literature on graduate student socialization, researchers have primarily focused on understanding the nature and impact of faculty alone, and much less is known about how peer interactions also contribute to graduate student outcomes. Using a national sample of first-year biology doctoral students, this study reveals distinct categories that classify patterns of faculty and peer interaction. Further, we document inequities such that certain groups (e.g., underrepresented minority students) report constrained types of interactions with faculty and peers. Comprehensive library automation is a prerequisite for resource sharing initiatives like Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery services in a cooperative environment. Shared library management system and a union catalogue enhance visibility to information resources available at networked libraries. Availability of IT infrastructure, skilled persons, the popularity of Koha and statewide mobile and Internet connectivity are favourable factors to build an ecosystem for resource sharing among academic libraries in Kerala state. A regional cooperative network for libraries ensures optimum utilisation of fund and maximum availability of resources. This article proposes a statewide ILL system for universities and colleges in Kerala state.

While digitization is not a digital preservation plan, methods used to execute digitization work can support future preservation efforts. Our approach in supporting digital preservation work is to conduct image analysis of the camera and resulting images to ensure FADGI compliance. Ensuring the quality of our preservation files increases the reliability of their survival in a digital preservation storage environment. The study investigates availability and utilization of reference sources in academic libraries in Nigeria. It is undertaken as a descriptive survey research design. The population of the study is post graduate students in University of Port Harcourt, totalling 1,264. The simple random sampling technique was used to select the sample. The sample size is (118) post graduate students. Validation of the instrument was done by experts in guidance and counselling department. This study investigated the incidence of job-related stress and how it affects job performance of librarians and library officers. Three universities in Lagos State, Nigeria were selected for the study. The study adopted a survey method and questionnaire was used to gather data from 86 librarians and library officers from the university libraries. The study revealed that job-related stress is prevalent among the librarians and library officers. The article sought to examine the causes, symptoms and reducing strategies of technostress among the library professionals of the selected Private College Libraries in North Bengal. The descriptive survey method was employed using the questionnaire to collect data from the 52 respondents in ten higher education institutions in the northern region of West Bengal. Health Records Officers’ Act was promulgated formally by Decree No. 39 of 1989 (HROA; 1989) now CAP 166 LFN1990. In early 2016, an elderly couple came into UNM’s Center for Southwest Research & Special Collections determined to donate six hide-covered books to the archives. They confessed they did not know their contents and that even though the books were in the care of the family for many years, they thought UNM would be a suitable place for them to be preserved and studied.
