The unique and varied collections held by archives and special collections within many academic libraries offer fertile ground for the creative endeavors of students, faculty, and professional artists. This chapter explores direct and indirect methods librarians and archivists may engage creators with primary source materials. Academic libraries do not necessarily need to build art-focused collections in order to support the research of creators. The development of student teachers’ beliefs about good teaching needs to be integral to their education programmes. This study attempts to scrutinise the contribution of a theatre education course to the conceptualisation of a group of eight student primary teachers’ notion of good teaching and a teacher’s ethos. The findings reveal that, within the coursework, student teachers’ learning experiences are interwoven with the ethics of the beautiful, the ethics of the dialogue and the ethics of the will. The purpose of this qualitative study was to explore perceptions of gifted and talented African American former high school students who are alumni of an exemplar STEAM program in a major urban city on the eastern seaboard with culturally relevant instruction regarding curricular and instructional practices for academic success. This qualitative study merged the methodological frameworks of qualitative case study and narrative inquiry (Sonday et. al, 2020) to assess the perceived impact of a local, community-engaged mural art project (Mending Walls) on undergraduate preservice art educators in foundational coursework. The study was grounded in existing research in three areas: community-engaged murals, community-engaged pedagogy, and community-engaged teacher preparation. This 4-H case study takes place in a psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF) in Kentucky. The PRTF provides clinical services to youth that are not able to be safely maintained in their homes due to having demonstrated unsafe or harmful behaviors. Youth admitted to the PRTF stay for an average of three to six months while they receive intensive therapeutic and psychiatric care as well as medical treatment and public schooling. การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาและศึกษาผลของการใช้นวัตกรรมกล่องการเรียนรู้ศิลปะจากวัสดุเหลือใช้เพื่อส่งเสริมทักษะการสร้างสรรค์ทางศิลปะสำหรับนักเรียนประถมศึกษา การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยและพัฒนา (Research and Development) โดยแบ่งการวิจัยออกเป็น 2 ระยะ ได้แก่ ระยะที่ 1 ศึกษาข้อมูลออกแบบและพัฒนานวัตกรรม โดยการเก็บข้อมูลจากการศึกษาเอกสารและงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง เก็บข้อมูลจากแบบสัมภาษณ์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญทั้ง 3 ด้าน จำนวน 15 ท่าน ได้แก่ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการพัฒนากล่องการเรียนรู้ 5 ท่าน ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการจัดกิจกรรมศิลปะจากวัสดุเหลือใช้ 5 ท่าน และ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการสอนศิลปะระดับชั้นประถมศึกษา 5 ท่าน ระยะที่ 2 ศึกษาผลการใช้นวัตกรรม กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือ นักเรียน ชั้นประถมศึกษาตอนต้น จำนวน 26 คน และครูประถมศึกษา เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย แผนการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้และนวัตกรรมกล่องการเรียนรู้ศิลปะจากวัสดุเหลือใช้ แบบสำรวจความพึงพอใจต่อกิจกรรมสำหรับนักเรียน และครูผู้สอน แบบบันทึกการสนทนากลุ่มสำหรับนักเรียนแบบประเมินการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานจากผู้เรียน และแบบประเมินนวัตกรรมจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณ ด้วยการหาค่าเฉลี่ย ร้อยละ และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพด้วยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า การพัฒนานวัตกรรมกล่องการเรียนรู้ศิลปะจากวัสดุเหลือใช้เพื่อส่งเสริมทักษะ การสร้างสรรค์ทางศิลปะสำหรับนักเรียนประถมศึกษา มีหลักการคือ กล่องการเรียนรู้ศิลปะจากวัสดุเหลือใช้ 3 กล่องกิจกรรม ที่มีเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับการปะติด ภาพพิมพ์ และงานปั้น ส่งเสริมการนำวัสดุเหลือใช้ที่อยู่ใกล้ตัวมาสร้างสรรค์เป็นผลงานศิลปะ พัฒนาการสร้างสรรค์จากกิจกรรมศิลปะและวัสดุเหลือใช้ สามารถเป็นตัวช่วยในการจัดการเรียนการสอนในบริบทของโรงเรียนขนาดเล็กที่ขาดแคลนครูศิลปะ แนวทางในการนำนวัตกรรมกล่องการเรียนไปปรับใช้ต่อการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ คือ 1) การนำเข้าสู่บทเรียนควรกระตุ้นให้ผู้เรียนเกิดความสนใจ เช่น การใช้เกมส์ หรือเพลง 2) บทบาทของครูผู้สอนในการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ควรมีการอธิบายขั้นตอนการใช้กล่องการเรียนรู้ให้ชัดเจน 3) ลักษณะการจัดการเรียนรู้เป็นการจัดกิจกรรมอย่างยืดหยุ่นปรับให้เหมาะสมกับผู้เรียน 4) การวัดและการประเมินผลตามสภาพจริง โดยประเมินจากกระบวนการและสิ่งที่ผู้เรียนได้เรียนรู้ระหว่างการทำกิจกรรม ผลจากการประเมินความพึงพอใจต่อกิจกรรมกล่องการเรียนรู้สำหรับนักเรียนในระดับชั้นประถมศึกษา พบว่า ระดับความพึงพอใจทั้งหมดอยู่ในระดับมาก (ค่าเฉลี่ย =2.95) โดยสามารถเรียงลำดับตามด้านที่มีความพึงพอใจจากมากที่สุดไปหาน้อยที่สุดได้ ดังนี้ ด้านพัฒนาการของนักเรียน (ค่าเฉลี่ย =2.98) ด้านการสอนและกิจกรรมของกล่องการเรียนรู้ (ค่าเฉลี่ย =2.94) และด้านลักษณะของกล่องการเรียนรู้ (ค่าเฉลี่ย =2.94) ผลจากการสนทนากลุ่ม พบว่า ผู้เรียนชื่นชอบกิจกรรมศิลปะจากวัสดุเหลือใช้ เพราะไม่สิ้นเปลืองเงินและเป็นการนำวัสดุเหลือใช้รอบตัวมาสร้างสรรค์เป็นชิ้นงานศิลปะ มีความสนุก และรู้สึกสนใจหากมีการนำกล่องการเรียนรู้มาปรับใช้กับการเรียนการสอน

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนานวัตกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบนาโนเลิร์นนิง และเพื่อศึกษาผลของการใช้นวัตกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบนาโนเลิร์นนิงในการสร้างสรรค์งานศิลปะสำหรับนักเรียนประถมศึกษา การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยและพัฒนา โดยแบ่งการวิจัยออกเป็น 2 ระยะ ได้แก่ ระยะที่ 1 การศึกษาข้อมูลจากเอกสาร งานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องและการพัฒนานวัตกรรม การสัมภาษณ์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ จำนวน 15 ท่าน ประกอบด้วย ผู้เชี่ยวชาญทางด้านการพัฒนานวัตกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบนาโนเลิร์นนิง จำนวน 5 ท่าน ผู้เชี่ยวชาญทางด้านการสอนศิลปะระดับประถมศึกษา จำนวน 5 ท่าน และผู้เชี่ยวชาญทางด้านการใช้วัสดุจากสิ่งแวดล้อมในการจัดกิจกรรมศิลปะ จำนวน 5 ท่าน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย แบบสัมภาษณ์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ ระยะที่ 2 ทดลองใช้นวัตกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบนาโนเลิร์นนิง กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือนักเรียนประถมศึกษาตอนต้นชั้นปีที่ 1-3 จากโรงเรียนวัดหนองม่วงใหม่ จังหวัดชลบุรี จำนวน 31 คน เครื่องมือวิจัยประกอบด้วย นวัตกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบนาโนเลิร์นนิง ได้แก่ แผนการจัดกิจกรรม คลิปขนาดสั้น แบบประเมินความพึงพอใจสำหรับนักเรียน แบบสังเกตพฤติกรรมนักเรียน และแบบบันทึกการสนทนากลุ่ม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณด้วยการหาค่าเฉลี่ย ร้อยละ และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพด้วยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า การพัฒนานวัตกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบนาโนเลิร์นนิงเพื่อส่งเสริมการเห็นคุณค่าของสิ่งแวดล้อมในการสร้างสรรค์งานศิลปะสำหรับนักเรียนประถมศึกษา มีหลักการคือ 1) การเรียนรู้นาโนเลิร์นนิง (Nano Learning) เป็นการเรียนรู้ขนาดเล็ก ใช้เวลาในการเรียนรู้ระยะสั้น ๆ ช่วงเวลาประมาณ 3-5 นาที 2) การเรียนรู้แบบผสมผสาน (Blended Learning) เป็นการผสมผสานระหว่างกิจกรรมและประสบการณ์ทางกายภาพและออนไลน์เพื่อสร้างความยืดหยุ่นในการเรียนรู้ให้กับผู้เรียน 3) การกระตุ้นการเรียนรู้ด้วยสื่อสังคมออนไลน์เป็นการนำพื้นที่สื่อสังคมออนไลน์เป็นสื่อกลางในการเรียนรู้ 4) การเชื่อมโยงวัสดุจากสิ่งแวดล้อมสู่การสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะ จากแบบประเมินความพึงพอใจต่อกิจกรรมและการเห็นคุณค่าสิ่งแวดล้อมสำหรับนักเรียนประถมศึกษา พบว่า สามารถสรุปได้เป็น 2 ด้าน ดังนี้ 1) ด้านนวัตกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบนาโนเลิร์นนิง นักเรียนมีความพึงพอใจในระดับมาก (M=2.58) โดยประเด็นที่นักเรียนมีระดับความพึงพอใจมากที่สุด 3 อันดับแรก ได้แก่ ฉันอยากเรียนด้วยคลิปขนาดสั้นอีก (M=2.84) คลิปขนาดสั้นน่าสนใจ (M=2.68) และคลิปขนาดสั้นมีตัวอักษร ภาพ เสียง ชัดเจน (M=2.68) ตามลำดับ 2) ด้านการเห็นคุณค่าสิ่งแวดล้อม …

Preservice teachers need opportunities in teacher education courses to explore arts-based interdisciplinary learning that can inspire connections between communities of practice and allow learners to integrate concepts and imagine creative possibilities. This study reports on preservice teachers engaged in a workshop on arts-based interdisciplinary music and mathematics tasks. Data included surveys, task-related artifacts, and participant observations to examine how preservice teachers conceptualize and engage in such tasks. This case study examines the association between an arts education and social-emotional learning (SEL) and attempts to identify if an increased social competence positively affects behavior in the classroom. Education policies are explored as well as outcomes of SEL through art programs. This research is focused on the integration of art activism into the elementary art curriculum. It begins with an overview of four contemporary artists known for their activist works. A review of recent literature related to art activism and art education follows. While there were many articles discussing art activism in art education curricula, integrating art activism at the elementary level is not well documented. This case study examines one specific partnership of Baldwin High School visual arts students interning with a local business.
