Potential For Effective Telerehabilitation Of Upper-Extremity Orthopedic Injuries In Cameroon: A Mini Review, Thierry Y. Lienou, Mikayla Rai

Howard University Journal of African Studies (HUJAS)

In this mini review, we aimed to critically assess the effectiveness of telerehabilitation interventions for patients with upper-extremity orthopedic conditions, particularly in resource-limited areas such as Cameroon. We employed a rigorous article selection process, resulting in a final set of 13 studies published between 2009 and 2022. These studies examined various upper-extremity conditions across diverse patient demographics and utilized multiple outcome assessments, including standardized functional scores and range of motion measures. We analyzed telerehabilitation platforms, including video conferencing, virtual reality interfaces, mobile applications, and phone-based supervision. This paper looks at how hope shows up in the lives of Venezuelan migrants living in Colombia. Because of ongoing political and economic problems in Venezuela, many people have been forced to leave their homes in search of safety and better opportunities. In Colombia, even though migrants may find more stability, they still face challenges like low wages, discrimination, and difficult living conditions. Despite all of this, hope continues to play an important role in how they move forward.

Conflict strategy can be exceedingly complex. While many of the basics are simple, even the simple can be highly complicated to execute. The Schlieffen Plan in World War I appeared straight forward, but execution was a great deal more complex. Midwest Social Sciences Journal

Modern political thought tends to associate citizenship with democracy, equality, and political participation. This article demonstrates that citizenship can be profoundly important also for authoritarian rule. In Fascist Italy, citizenship remained central to political life, not as a vehicle of democratic participation, to be sure, but as a category through which the regime redefined belonging, hierarchy, and sovereignty. Drawing on citizenship legislation, imperial ordinances, racial laws, police reports, and ministerial commentary between 1912 and 1943, this article shows how the dictatorship hollowed out liberal citizenship within the peninsula, stratified it across imperial territories, consolidated it across diasporic populations, and ultimately …

The U.S. district courts have emerged as a critical site of contested terrain amid the chaos and controversies consuming American law and politics since the start of the second Trump administration. This article examines these frontline courts through the theoretical lens of populism, arguing that they have become a critical institutional flashpoint in the populist assault on constitutional democracy in the United States.
