The research aims to provide an overview of the psychological well-being of prospective counselors. The study used the PERMA-Profiler measurement, distributed to Islamic Counseling Guidance students at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. Fatigue without diagnosed anemia is prevalent in menstruating women, with iron deficiency being a potential contributor. While iron supplementation is a standard intervention, dietary sources of iron may offer a sustainable alternative. This study aims to assess the impact of an iron-rich diet on fatigue levels in menstruating women. A 12-week randomized controlled trial (RCT) will be conducted, assigning participants to either an iron-rich diet group or a control group following their usual diet without specific iron recommendations. Thanks to the help of the Platform Supervisors, I’ve also gained valuable knowledge about how to collaborate with team members so I can best assist clients in need. International students significantly enrich U.S. counselor education and supervision programs by contributing diverse cultural perspectives that inspire teaching, research, and professional growth. Yet, these students often face complex challenges including cultural adjustment, language barriers, social isolation, and the academic demands of counseling academic programs that impact their educational outcome s and psychological well-being. Systemic barriers, such as visa restrictions and institutional unawareness, further complicate their experiences. Research on the effects of ACEs is largely conducted and published outside of counseling fields, yet has direct implications for counselors in the conceptualization, assessment, and interventions for a variety of complaints presented by clients across the lifespan and in any treatment setting. In the present study, we examined several variables related to school counselors working with students who experienced traumas. We studied the prevalence of traumas reported by students and by school characteristics, school counselors’ trainings on trauma-informed practices, and the relationships between organizational predictors and school counselors’ perceived trauma-informed practices in their schools. Participants were 278 practicing school counselors. Highlights of the various findings included: school counselors, on average, worked with students who reported 11 types of traumas, several trauma types were more- or less-often reported by students based upon the organizational variables of school district type and grade levels, and …

This transcendental phenomenological study delves into the lived experiences of 10 women who experienced sex trafficking. Through in-depth individual interviews, participants unveiled a narrative marked by coercion, manipulation, and multifaceted abuse. Despite variations in the duration and onset of their ordeals, participants uniformly expressed the profound and lasting impact of sex trafficking across numerous facets of their lives. Psychological distress, physical ailments, disrupted vocational trajectories, strained relationships, and spiritual upheaval were recurrent themes, illustrating the pervasive nature of their trauma. Nonsuicidal self-injury conversations can occur under veiled discussions,whether online or in-person, due to stigmatized emotions associated with self-harm. Previous studies addressednonsuicidal self-injury on Reddit, yet do not specifically address emotions expressed within posts. The present study assessed emotional discourse in 996 subreddit posts about self-harm engagement and related circumstances, through an inductive, thematic analysis design. Emotions consisted of four identified themes: (a) lonely and looking for belonging on Reddit, (b) despair and exhaustion trying to stop the behavior, (c) humiliated and scared after disclosure to in-person supports, and (d) thankful for subreddit support. Though the use of Chinese herbal medicines (CHMs) is widespread in clinical practice, its effect on the prevention of RA incidents is still unknown. Using explanatory sequential mixed-methods design, we investigated counseling student outcomes and attitudes in asynchronous versus synchronous learning modalities. We studied whether asynchronous or synchronous learning contributed to differences in student outcomes on a final project in an Advanced Human Growth and Development course. Using a Kruskal-Wallis H test, we found no significant differences on final project scores among groups categorized according to the number of asynchronous and synchronous activities completed. We also explored the attitudes of online counseling students towards synchronous and asynchronous learning.
