Temporal And Spatial Changes Of Terrestrial Water Storage In Yellow River Basin Based On Grace, Yang Fei, Zhang Chengye, Li Jun, Song Ziheng, Guo Tianyu

Coal Geology & Exploration

The Yellow River Basin is currently the main gathering place both for economically recoverable coal and coal production in China. Understanding the water sources and its changes is not only a prerequisite for promoting the intensive use of water in the Yellow River Basin, but also the basis for carrying out the ecological protection and sustainable development of the mining areas in the Yellow River Basin. Compared with traditional methods for monitoring terrestrial water storage that are limited by the distribution and number of monitoring points, GRACE provides a new way to study the temporal and spatial changes of water …

Coal Geology & Exploration

In promoting the achievement of the carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals in China, the development of residual coalbed methane resources in abandoned mines is of important practical significance. However, the development of the residual coalbed methane is characterized by its secondary dynamic reservoir formation after disturbed under original geological conditions. Therefore, the related literature at home and abroad in recent years is summarized as follows. (1) The disturbed area of the overburden and floor in coal seam mining can be divided into the gas conduction fracture zone, pressure relief zone and non-desorption zone. The influence range of coal seam …

Establishment And Application Of Four Basic Data Accounts For Coal Mine Water Control, Lyu Yuguang, Li Mingzhen, Hu Falun, Liu Shuang

Coal Geology & Exploration

Mine water inflow, aquifer water level, analysis data of water quality and formation information are closely related to water prevention and control. It takes a long time to collect a large amount of data. The relevant technical specifications clearly require the establishment of an account for data management, but there is no unified and practical account format, and detailed description of its purpose. Microsoft Excel is used to establish four basic data accounts of mine water inflow, aquifer water level, hydrochemistry and information on stratum. The format of the account is standardized, and the methods for data application of each …

A Spatial Assessment Of Impacts To The Flats Fishery By Recreational Boating In The Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, Kristin Anderson 2022 Nova Southeastern University

A Spatial Assessment Of Impacts To The Flats Fishery By Recreational Boating In The Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, Kristin Anderson

All HCAS Student Capstones, Theses, and Dissertations

The recreational flats fishery in the Florida Keys is a significant component of the marine resource-based economy, exceeding $465 million (USD) in annual economic impact. Permit (Trachinotus falcatus), bonefish (Albula vulpes), and tarpon (Megalops atlanticus) are the three main species targeted by flat fishers. Those participating in this fishery generally practice catch-and-release angling therefore, the fishery is considered a more sustainable marine use compared to more traditional commercial fisheries. However, with population and tourism rising in South Florida, the fishery is increasingly threatened by habitat degradation and user conflicts. Ongoing revisions to the Florida …

Green Transformation Paths Of Closed Coalmine Industrtry In Coal Resources Cities, Zhang Lifeng, Wang Qiuju

Coal Geology & Exploration

With the implementation of China's energy supply-side structural reform and coal production capacity policy, the number of coal mines closed in China is increasing year by year, and how to transform the industry after the closure of coal mines has become an urgent problem. Most of the closed coal mines are concentrated in coal resource-based cities, and the development of closed coal mines is inseparable from the development of coal resource-based cities. The selection of their advantageous industries should be consistent with the direction of industrial transformation of the cities where they are located, so as to to make effective …

On the basis of on the exploration and development status of gas resources in abandoned coal mines in China, the idea of “resource estimation + preliminary evaluation” was put forward to reasonably evaluate the gas resources in abandoned coal mines. The estimation and evaluation method of gas resources in abandoned coal mines was established, which has the advantages of less required parameters and strong practicability. According to the gas emission characteristics and abandoned time, the types of abandoned coal mines were divided into two categories: stable and unstable. Unstable coal mines were further divided into early, middle and late stages …

Coal Geology & Exploration

Tight gas is an unconventional resource developed in low-porosity and ultra-low permeability sandstone and has rich potential oil and gas reserves. However, due to its tight and low permeability, fracturing is a necessary means for efficient development of tight gas. The reservoir characteristics and material composition of sandstone are of great significance to the preliminary evaluation of resource potential and production capacity of the dense sandstone reservoirs. By using X-ray diffraction, microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and other technical means, ten outcroppings of tight sandstone from coal measures of Permian Longtan Formation in Weixin area of eastern Yunnan Province were qualitatively …

Characteristics Of Coal And Gas Outburst And Controlling Mechanism Of Stress Field In The Hanging Wall Of Normal Faults, Cao Yunxing, Zhang Haiyang, Zhang Zhen, Liu Gaofeng

Coal Geology & Exploration

The fault zone is the main geological unit where coal and gas outbursts occur. Statistics of many coal and gas outbursts show that the number and intensity of the outbursts in the hanging wall are significantly greater than those in the foot wall for normal faults. However, there are few studies on the geological mechanism of this phenomenon, especially the variation of the in-situ stress field in the hanging wall of normal faults before and after mining, and its controlling mechanism of coal and gas outbursts that has not been completely demonstrated. In view of this, the normal fault DF …

Through the determination of soil fertility indexes and heavy metal indexes in the study area, soil fertility and heavy metal ecological risks are evaluated by the principal component analysis method and the potential ecological hazard index method. The results show that the soil in the mining area is alkaline as a whole, rich in organic matters, total nitrogen, and available potassium, but lacking in available phosphorus. It has the characteristics of being rich in nitrogen potassium and poor in …

Directional Drilling Technology And Equipment For Gas Drainage In Large Panel Of Underground Coal Mines, XU Chao, JIANG Lei, CHEN Pan, ZHANG Di 2022 Xi’an Research Institute Co. Ltd., China Coal Technology and Engineering Group Corp., Xi’an 710077, China

Directional Drilling Technology And Equipment For Gas Drainage In Large Panel Of Underground Coal Mines, Xu Chao, Jiang Lei, Chen Pan, Zhang Di

Coal Geology & Exploration

In recent years, with the progress of directional drilling technology and equipment in underground coal mines, a new model of advanced and comprehensive control of gas in the large panel of Baode Coal Mine is formed by covering the whole work with ultra-long directional drilling along the coal seam, hence the panel of the unexcavated roadway can be fully pre-pumped in advance to avoid gas overrun. As gas extraction in large panel requires a single construction along the coal seam borehole to run through the whole working face length, this paper starts from the construction technology of ultra-long directional drilling …
