Due to COVID-19 pandemic, police academies enforced lockdowns to protect cadets’ well-being. Fear of health issues (e.g., perceived severity) influences ones’ adherence (e.g., readiness to act) to changes in exercise behavior. Physical activity (PA) improves mental health (MH). Mental toughness (MT) positively correlates to MH. Only 45% of Hispanics and Blacks over 18 years and less than 40% of US females meet the ACSM PA guidelines. PA has been decreasing during the COVID-19. PURPOSE: Investigate during the pandemic the effect of PA adherence on the MT-MH relationship on previously physically active, Black and Hispanic females. Supplementing with creatine is very popular amongst athletes and exercising individuals for improving muscle mass, performance and recovery. Accumulating evidence also suggests that creatine supplementation produces a variety of beneficial effects in older and patient populations. Furthermore, evidence-based research shows that creatine supplementation is relatively well tolerated, especially at recommended dosages (i.e. 3-5 g/day or 0.1 g/kg of body mass/day). Although there are over 500 peer-refereed publications involving creatine supplementation, it is somewhat surprising that questions regarding the efficacy and safety of creatine still remain. An Articulate module was made to address and refresh learners on pertinent surgical airway knowledge. Introduction: Diversity in healthcare can improve access to healthcare for racial/ethnic minorities. However, barriers such as lack of educational opportunities have hindered URiM (underrepresented in medicine) students from matriculation to medical school. Enrichment programs such as STEP UP Medicine seek to break down these barriers. It provides its participants with MCAT preparation, advising, medical skills sessions, clinical shadowing experiences, and networking opportunities. Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is a common sleep disorder characterized by long pauses in breathing over the course of a night’s sleep, leading to significant daytime fatigue and long-term pathologies if left untreated. While a sleep study is the diagnostic tool of choice for OSA, this test is costly. To maximize cost effectiveness, we developed a screening protocol to identify patients at high risk for OSA for referral for a sleep study.

Purpose: To characterize emergency department (ED) staff regard toward opioid use disorder (OUD) and analyze variation based on job category. The closure of Hahnemann Hospital, in combination with the increasing prevalence of OUD, is exacerbating the previously inadequate network of resources for these patients.
