Accurate and efficient prediction of lithium-ion battery state of health (SOH) is critical for ensuring reliability in electric vehicles, grid storage, and aerospace systems. Traditional SOH estimation methods often struggle with nonlinear degradation behaviors and lack sensitivity to subtle electrochemical signals, limiting their real-world deployment. To address these challenges, this study examines hybrid deep learning models that integrate differential capacity (dQ/dV) analysis to enhance predictive accuracy. Pulmonary vein stenosis (PVS) is an insidious diagnosis associated with morbidity and mortality. Pharmacologic therapy may suffice initially, but advanced stages demand mechanical intervention. Pulmonary stent implantation (PSI) and pulmonary balloon angioplasty (PBA) are common strategies, both carrying restenosis risks. This meta‐analysis compares PSI and PBA to determine the superior revascularization strategy. We systematically searched databases until November 2023, identifying 11 studies with 780 patients. Studies, including those involving patients undergoing balloon angioplasty (BA) or stent angioplasty (SA) for PVS, were selected. Case reports, editorials, and cross‐sectional studies were omitted. Iatrogenic ventricular septal defect (VSD) is a rare complication following transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). An 83-year-old male underwent TAVI for severe aortic stenosis (AS) and was diagnosed with a peri-membranous VSD on echocardiography, which was not evident on pre-procedural imaging. This case highlights the risk factors, symptoms, diagnosis, and management of iatrogenic VSD following TAVI.

BACKGROUND: Right ventricular (RV) function assessment by echocardiography can be challenging due to its complex morphology. Also, increasing use of sedation rather than general anesthesia for transfemoral approach transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) reduces the need for intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE). Recent clinical studies have demonstrated the importance of 3-dimensional (3D) echocardiography and a longitudinal strain for RV function assessment. Isolated superior mesenteric dissection (ISMAD) is an uncommon condition, often diagnosed incidentally for presentations of acute abdominal pain. Early identification and treatment are crucial as complications such as bowel ischemia or vessel rupture can occur. There remain no established treatment guidelines, making surgical and endovascular indications controversial. A 60-year-old male presented with acute abdominal pain, and was diagnosed with ISMAD via computed tomography imaging. Advancements in neuroimaging, particularly diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques and molecular imaging with positron emission tomography (PET), have significantly enhanced the early detection of biomarkers in neurodegenerative and neuro-ophthalmic disorders. These include Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica, and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody disease. This review highlights the transformative role of advanced diffusion MRI techniques-Neurite Orientation Dispersion and Density Imaging and Diffusion Kurtosis Imaging-in identifying subtle microstructural changes in the brain and visual pathways that precede clinical symptoms. Objective: To determine the accuracy of diagnosing oral lesions through clinical photos taken by clinical dental students (CDS). Methods: The observational analytic study was conducted on 100 CDS to evaluate 140 clinical photos of oral lesions. The gold standard was evaluated by three oral medicine specialists. Data analysis will be performed using accuracy and kappa tests. Results: The accuracy rate of lesion detection in CDS is high (88.55%) with substantial agreement (κ = 0.66). Background: Culture and histopathological examination are gold standards for diagnosing onychomycosis. However, these examinations are subject to several limitations. Dermoscopy has the potential to become a promising diagnostic tool for onychomycosis. Direct examination of potassium hydroxide (KOH) also has advantages similar to dermoscopy. Knowing the accuracy of both examinations can help clinical decision-making. Our objectives are to assess the diagnostic value of dermoscopy, KOH examination, and their combination for distal lateral subungual onychomycosis compared to culture or histopathology.

Chagas disease is a neglected tropical disease caused by the parasite Trypanosoma cruzi that affects 6 million people worldwide. In the United States, Chagas is estimated to affect 43 000 women of reproductive age. Pregnant persons with Chagas are at risk for congenital transmission to the newborn, which accounts for nearly a quarter of all new cases. In 2022, a US multidisciplinary expert working group4 developed recommendations for increased clinician-directed screening for Chagas. Spindle cell lipoma (SCL) is a benign adipocytic tumor usually found in the subcutis of the posterior neck, upper back, and shoulder, predominantly in middle-aged males. This case report describes an atypical presentation of SCL in a 26-year-old male with a history of malignant melanoma. The patient presented with an erythematous plaque with central hyperpigmentation on the right upper arm, an uncommon location and presentation for SCL. Histopathological examination revealed an atypical myxoid spindle cell neoplasm with CD34 positivity and an overlying mildly atypical compound melanocytic nevus. Efficacy will be assessed using specific outcomes, such as 30-day mortality and the requirement for mechanical ventilation.
