A004: Effects Of Inspiratory Muscle Warm-Up On Muscle Oxygenation, Perceived Exertion, And Prefrontal Cortex Activation, Xinyu Dai, Jihong Yan, Xuecui Bi

International Journal of Physical Activity and Health

With the rapid increase in rowing training load, high subjective load may force athletes to use more nerve impulses and cognitive resources. However, the neural resources of athletes are limited, and being in this state for a long time may have a negative effect, such as reducing information processing ability stability, and even non-contact injury. The primary aim of this study was to investigate the effects of a respiratory muscle warm-up intervention on oxygen saturation in the prefrontal lobe and muscles of athletes. A total of 54 participants were recruited for the study, with an average age of 21.35 years. …

A010: Effects Of Blood Flow Restriction Interval Training On Aerobic, Anaerobic, And Muscle Strength: A Meta-Analysis, Xin Zheng, Kaixiang Zhou 2026 Chongqing Normal University

A010: Effects Of Blood Flow Restriction Interval Training On Aerobic, Anaerobic, And Muscle Strength: A Meta-Analysis, Xin Zheng, Kaixiang Zhou

International Journal of Physical Activity and Health

Implementing blood flow restriction (BFR) during exercise is becoming an increasingly useful adjunct in exercise and rehabilitation settings. Studies have shown that the advantages of combining BFR with training can be observed in two scenarios: (1) lower absolute intensity training (such as walking) induces adaptations similar to high-intensity training (such as interval running); (2) higher physiological stimuli can be achieved during moderate-to-high-intensity exercise, leading to greater improvements in aerobic, anaerobic, and muscular parameters. The former has been well documented in previous studies, but there is a lack of consensus regarding the combination of BFR (during or after exercise) with interval …

International Journal of Physical Activity and Health

Physical activity is essential for young adults, offering physical, psychological, aesthetic, and social benefits, such as reduced chronic disease risks, improved mental health, and overall wellbeing. Despite WHO recommendations (60 minutes daily for adolescents, 150 minutes weekly for adults), many college students fall short due to low intrinsic motivation, body image concerns, social anxiety, and lack of enjoyment. This study examines college students' motivations for physical activity and their relationships with gender, activity levels, and satisfaction. It also explores how motivation mediates the influence of gender on activity levels and satisfaction. Method: Exploratory analyses and bivariate analyses (Pearson’s correlations and …

International Journal of Physical Activity and Health

This study utilizes ASA theory to explore the relationship between leaders' interpersonal relationships in physical exercise groups and the effectiveness of group knowledge transfer. Physical exercise behavior plays a crucial intermediary role in promoting national health. A physical exercise group is a community formed by individuals who engage in physical activities through social connections. Given the characteristics of China's relational society, investigating this topic aids in building a national fitness organization network. Based on the ASA theoretical framework, this study proposed that in a complex system where explicit/implicit knowledge facilitates network knowledge transfer among physical exercise groups, social network, knowledge …

A030: Relationship Between Perceived Parental Expectations And Pre-Service Pe Teachers' Professional Identity: A Chain Mediation Model, Huanyu Li, Weidong Li, Yaling Liang, Bo Shen 2026 Central China Normal University

A030: Relationship Between Perceived Parental Expectations And Pre-Service Pe Teachers' Professional Identity: A Chain Mediation Model, Huanyu Li, Weidong Li, Yaling Liang, Bo Shen

International Journal of Physical Activity and Health

Teachers' professional identity, defined as the complex of teachers' self-concept based on experiences, beliefs, values, and motives towards their profession and internalized professional roles (Chen et al., 2023; Korthagen, 2004), is a central element of teachers’ career development and largely determines their professional commitment and performance (Day et al., 2005; Mahmoudi-Gahrouei et al., 2016). Studies have shown that external factors, such as educational policies, teacher support, and parental expectations, as well as internal factors like teaching motivation and academic self-efficacy, can predict pre-service teachers' professional identity (Zhang & Zhao, 2016; Zhang et al., 2017; Whiston & Keller, 2004; Schepens et …

A033: Force Vs. Impulse: Assessing The Applicability Of Dynamic Strength Indices In Personalized Training Recommendations, Yuhang Liu, Xiaoyi Yuan 2026 Beijing Sport University

A033: Force Vs. Impulse: Assessing The Applicability Of Dynamic Strength Indices In Personalized Training Recommendations, Yuhang Liu, Xiaoyi Yuan

International Journal of Physical Activity and Health

In the era of artificial intelligence, the visualization and quantification of athletes' physical fitness have become critical areas of focus in the fields of physical and sports training. The Dynamic Strength Index (DSI) is a key metric used to assess neuromuscular function. However, the traditional force-based DSI (fDSI) overlooks time-dependent force characteristics, which may limit its applicability in training prescriptions. This study aimed to compare two dynamic strength indices—the force-based dynamic strength index (fDSI) and the impulse-based dynamic strength index (iDSI)—in relation to force-time performance variables and to assess their applicability in personalized training recommendations. Case study analyses were conducted …

A039: Determining The Type Of Aerobic/Anaerobic Metabolism During Exercise In Drosophila By Incremental Loading Exercise, Qin Yi, Lan Zheng

International Journal of Physical Activity and Health

Existing Drosophila exercise models only distinguish between regular and endurance exercise based on behavioral traits and have not yet established an exercise physiology classification system based on metabolic traits, which restricts the depth of application of this model organism in exercise physiology research. This study aims to establish an aerobic/anaerobic metabolic model of Drosophila by constructing an incremental load exercise model. Method: A 7-day-old wild-type Drosophila was used as the study subject for the exercise intervention using a Drosophila exercise device. Six exercise intensity gradients were used in this study: 0.31 rev/s (E1), 0.45 rev/s (E2), 0.59 rev/s (E3), 0.71 …

This research aims to analyze the bodily expression behind the phenomenon and its impact on sports culture, using self-presentation theory and power-disciplinary theory to explore how social media shapes women’s self-expression. This study uses theoretical analysis based on Erving Goffman’s self-presentation theory and …

A040: Exercise Modulates Dilp6 Via Foxo To Ameliorate Hfd-Induced Lipotoxic Cardiomyopathy In Drosophila, Zhihao Pan, Lan Zheng 2026 Hunan Normal University

A040: Exercise Modulates Dilp6 Via Foxo To Ameliorate Hfd-Induced Lipotoxic Cardiomyopathy In Drosophila, Zhihao Pan, Lan Zheng

International Journal of Physical Activity and Health

A High-fat diet (HFD) has been shown to cause myocardial lipotoxicity and thus cardiac dysfunction in Drosophila, but the underlying mechanisms and intervention strategies are unclear. Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) (Drosophila Dilp6 homologue) plays an important role in adipocyte differentiation, insulin sensitivity. Exercise can improve lipid metabolism disorders, cardiac hypertrophy, and myocardial fibrosis, and effectively prevent lipotoxic cardiomyopathy. Studies have shown that the insulin-regulated transcription factor Foxo positively regulates the expression of Dilp6 in Drosophila adipose bodies. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate whether exercise regulates the expression of Dilp6 through the transcription factor Foxo to …
