Leveraging the researcher’s unique diverse cultural and educational background, this dissertation explores integrating social emotional learning (SEL) within an innovative pedagogy of “with-ness” (PoW) towards planetary well-being in educational settings. The overarching purpose is to redefine educational strategies through SEL and PoW to advance planetary well-being in tertiary contexts. As such, this dissertation critically engages with three published articles authored during the researcher’s doctoral tenure to highlight transformative SEL practices that are fundamentally attuned to ecological consciousness. Abstract

Children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) participate in community-based settings at lower rates than typically developing children. Museums provide a structured, predictable, and supportive place for children with ASD to learn. Visiting a museum may create unique challenges for children with ASD and their families. Sensory processing disorder (SPD) is a common barrier to participation that makes it difficult to process information coming in through the senses. Objective: To examine hospices’ approaches to improving the current racial/ethnic hospice utilisation disparity.

Methods: During June and July 2020, we conducted in-depth, semistructured interviews with 22 hospice leaders from across the USA. The interviews focused on inclusive strategy approaches. We analysed the data using qualitative methods.

Results: Multiple themes emerged about racial/ ethnic minority inclusion strategies: (1) hospices tailor strategies to the local communities they serve; (2) improvement involves addressing social determinants of health that extend beyond end-of-life care; (3) costs of strategies are not a primary concern and the benefits are worth the costs; and (4) hospices want to …

This paper analyzes a Participatory Action Research (PAR) Project focused on improving public safety and community lighting in one Latinx immigrant community in California as a case example to better understand the possibilities for university-community-government partnerships. The paper explores residents' motivations for their sustained participation in the project, the relationships and power dynamics that led to a $100,000 commitment from the city government to fund the recommendations of the PAR collective, and the social contexts that allowed community residents to position themselves as political actors as the PAR project progressed over the 2021-2022 academic year. Down syndrome (DS) is a chromosomal genetic condition that impacts the development of the body and brain. The life expectancy of individuals with DS has drastically improved over the decades, increasing from 9 years in 1929 to 25 years in 1983 and further reaching 60 years by 2002. งานวิจัยเรื่อง “การตกเป็นเหยื่อของการสะกดรอยออนไลน์ในสังคมไทย” มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมของผู้กระทำผิดและผู้ที่ตกเป็นเหยื่อการสะกดรอยออนไลน์ ศึกษาสภาพปัญหาของการตกเป็นเหยื่อและเสนอแนะแนวทางในการป้องกันการตกเป็นเหยื่อการสะกดรอยออนไลน์ในสังคมไทย เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพด้วยการศึกษาข้อมูลจากเอกสารและการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกผู้ที่ตกเป็นเหยื่อการสะกดรอยออนไลน์ จำนวน 4 คน และผู้เชี่ยวชาญที่มีความรู้ความสามารถเฉพาะทางและผู้ที่มีส่วนในการช่วยเหลือเหยื่อ จำนวน 8 คน ผลการศึกษา พบว่ารูปแบบพฤติกรรมของผู้กระทำผิด มี 3 ประการ ดังนี้ 1) การพยายามติดต่อสื่อสารอย่างต่อเนื่องและส่งข้อความที่ไม่พึงประสงค์ทางออนไลน์ 2) การนำข้อมูลของเหยื่อไปใช้ในทางที่มิชอบ และ 3) การนำข้อมูลที่เฝ้าติดตามทางออนไลน์ไปสะกดรอยในทางกายภาพ สาเหตุหรือแรงจูงใจที่นำไปสู่การกระทำความผิด ดังนี้ 1) ความสะดวกในการเข้าถึงข้อมูลส่วนบุคคลและการติดต่อเหยื่อได้โดยตรง 2) ความต้องการสร้างความสัมพันธ์บางประการ และ 3) ความโกรธแค้นเมื่อถูกปฏิเสธหรือความต้องการควบคุม พฤติกรรมของบุคคลที่นำไปสู่การตกเป็นเหยื่อการสะกดรอยออนไลน์ มี 2 ประการ ดังนี้ 1) การขาดความระมัดระวังในการเผยแพร่ข้อมูลบนสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ และ 2) ลักษณะทางกายภาพของเหยื่อ นอกจากนี้ผลการศึกษา สภาพปัญหาของการตกเป็นเหยื่อการสะกดรอยออนไลน์ มี 4 ประการ ดังนี้ 1) การขาดความตระหนักรู้ 2) สภาพของเทคโนโลยีและอินเทอร์เน็ต 3) การขาดกฎหมายหรือมาตรการเฉพาะที่ใช้กับการกระทำความผิด และ 4) ขาดบุคลากรที่มีความชำนาญเฉพาะทาง สำหรับแนวทางในการป้องกันการตกเป็นเหยื่อการสะกดรอยออนไลน์ ได้แก่ 1) การสอนมารยาทการใช้งานอินเทอร์เน็ต และสร้างความตระหนักรู้ในอันตรายจากการเผยแพร่ข้อมูลส่วนบุคคลแก่คนในสังคม 2) การเริ่มป้องกันจากตนเอง 3) การพัฒนาระบบกฎหมายและการบังคับใช้ และ 4) การพัฒนาบุคลากรให้มีความรู้ความชำนาญ และพัฒนาเครื่องมือทางเทคโนโลยีที่ช่วยสืบสวนการกระทำความผิดทางออนไลน์

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสภาพปัญหาและสาเหตุการเล่นพนันคาสิโนออนไลน์ของเด็กและเยาวชนในพื้นที่กรุงเทพมหานคร การศึกษาวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยดำเนินการเก็บข้อมูลจากเด็กและเยาวชน ในพื้นที่กรุงเทพมหานคร ที่เล่นพนันคาสิโนออนไลน์ จำนวน 15 คน ด้วยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก รวมถึงการศึกษาจากเอกสาร และทำการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยวิธีการวิเคราะห์สรุปอุปนัย ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1.สภาพปัญหาการเล่นพนันคาสิโนออนไลน์ของเด็กและเยาวชนในพื้นที่กรุงเทพมหานครจำแนกได้เป็น 3 องค์ประกอบหลัก ได้แก่สาเหตุเรื่องของความล้าหลังและไม่ชัดเจนของกฎหมายที่ไม่ทันกับเทคโนโลยี รวมถึงการโฆษณาที่เข้าถึงเยาวชนได้ง่าย ทำให้ปัญหานี้ขยายตัวอย่างรวดเร็ว บริบทและสภาวะที่เกี่ยวข้องเกี่ยวกับความซับซ้อนทางวัฒนธรรม การทุจริตในระบบราชการ การพัฒนาเทคโนโลยี และวิถีชีวิตยุคใหม่ ล้วนส่งเสริมการเล่นพนัน และผลกระทบของปัญหานี้สร้างความเสียหายทั้งด้านการศึกษา จิตใจ สังคม และการเงินของเยาวชน การแก้ไขต้องอาศัยความร่วมมือจากครอบครัว โรงเรียน และสังคมในระยะยาว 2.สาเหตุการเล่นพนันคาสิโนออนไลน์ของเด็กและเยาวชนในกรุงเทพมหานครสามารถแบ่งเป็น 3 ปัจจัยหลัก ได้แก่ ปัจเจกบุคคล จิตวิทยา และสังคม พบว่าเยาวชนมักตัดสินใจเล่นพนันโดยประเมินความเสี่ยงและผลตอบแทนที่คาดว่าจะได้รับ โดยอาจได้รับอิทธิพลจากการเลียนแบบพฤติกรรมในสื่อออนไลน์หรือกลุ่มเพื่อน การโฆษณาที่ดึงดูด และการเสริมกำลังทั้งทางบวกและลบ นอกจากนี้ ปัจจัยทางสังคม เช่น ความสัมพันธ์ที่ไม่แข็งแรงกับครอบครัว การขาดกิจกรรมสร้างสรรค์ หรือความรู้สึกว่างเปล่าทางจิตใจ ล้วนมีส่วนผลักดันให้เยาวชนเข้าสู่วงจรการพนันออนไลน์มากขึ้น

การศึกษาเรื่อง กระบวนการยุติธรรมในการใช้มาตรการคุ้มครองสวัสดิภาพผู้ถูกกระทำด้วยความรุนแรงในครอบครัวต่อกลุ่มคนรุ่นใหม่ (Gen-Z) ของศาลเยาวชนและครอบครัวภายใต้บริบทสังคมไทย มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาถึงทัศนะ มุมมอง ความเชื่อ ค่านิยม ของกลุ่มคนรุ่นใหม่ (Gen-Z) ต่อสถาบันครอบครัว และความรุนแรงในครอบครัว และศึกษาถึงทัศนะ มุมมอง ความเชื่อ ค่านิยม ของ บิดา มารดา ผู้ปกครอง ผู้กระทำความรุนแรง และผู้ถูกกระทำความรุนแรงที่เป็นกลุ่มคนรุ่นใหม่ (Gen-Z) ที่เข้าสู่กระบวนการคุ้มครองสวัสดิภาพของศาลเยาวชนและครอบครัว ตลอดจนศึกษาบทบาทการดำเนินงาน และปัญหาอุปสรรคของกระบวนการยุติธรรมของศาลเยาวชนและครอบครัวในการคุ้มครองสวัสดิภาพบุคคลที่ถูกกระทำด้วยความรุนแรงในครอบครัว เพื่อความเข้าใจและพัฒนาแนวทางแก้ไขป้องกันความรุนแรงในครอบครัว โดยวิธีการในการดำเนินการวิจัยเป็นแบบผสมผสาน คือการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณผ่านการสำรวจความคิดเห็นกลุ่มคนรุ่นใหม่ (Gen-Z) ที่กำลังศึกษาอยู่ในระดับมหาวิทยาลัย 400 คน และการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพด้วยการวิเคราะห์และสังเคราะห์ข้อมูลจากการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก ผู้กระทำความรุนแรงในครอบครัวซึ่งเป็นบิดามารดาหรือผู้ปกครอง และ ผู้ถูกกระทำด้วยความรุนแรงในครอบครัวที่เป็นกลุ่มคนรุ่นใหม่ (Gen-Z) ซึ่งเป็นบุตรหรือผู้อยู่ภายใต้การปกครอง ตลอดจนผู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องในกระบวนการยุติธรรมในการใช้มาตรการคุ้มครองสวัสดิภาพของศาลเยาวชนและครอบครัวผลการศึกษาพบว่าทัศนะของกลุ่มคนรุ่นใหม่ Gen-Z ส่วนใหญ่มีพื้นฐานความเชื่อ ค่านิยมต่าง ๆ เกี่ยวกับครอบครัวคล้ายกับคนในยุคก่อน โดยยังเห็นว่าครอบครัวมีความสำคัญ แต่มีการรับรู้ถึงสิทธิมนุษยชนขั้นพื้นฐานในครอบครัวที่ไม่ควรมีการละเมิดทั้งทางร่างกายและจิตใจเด่นชัดขึ้น และส่วนหนึ่งมีมุมมองสะท้อนให้เห็นภาพสถาบันครอบครัวที่แตกต่างออกไป เช่น บ้านไม่ใช่พื้นที่ปลอดภัย พ่อแม่ไม่ควรคาดหวังให้ลูกมาดูแลในวัยชรา เป็นต้น ซึ่งเป็นมุมมองไปทางเดียวกันกับผู้ถูกกระทำความรุนแรงที่เข้าสู่กระบวนการคุ้มครองสวัสดิภาพของศาลเยาวชนและครอบครัวได้แสดงมุมมองต่อศาลหรือบุคคลในกระบวนการยุติธรรม สำหรับผู้กระทำความรุนแรงนั้น ส่วนใหญ่จะคิดว่าการกระทำของตนเองไม่เป็นความรุนแรง แต่เมื่อเข้าสู่กระบวนการและปฏิบัติตามคำสั่งศาลที่ออกเพื่อช่วยยับยั้งไม่ให้กระทำความรุนแรง และเพื่อแก้ไขบำบัดฟื้นฟูแล้ว ก็ยอมรับว่าช่วยให้สถานการณ์ในครอบครัวดีขึ้นสามารถเดินหน้าต่อไปได้ สะท้อนว่าบริบทของความรุนแรง ในครอบครัวได้เปลี่ยนแปลงไปตามแนวคิดใหม่ ซึ่งผู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องในกระบวนการยุติธรรมในเรื่องนี้ต้องทบทวนและตระหนักถึงบริบทที่แปรเปลี่ยนไปดังกล่าวเพื่อสร้างสมดุลและสันติภาพภายในบ้าน อีกทั้งในระดับ มหภาคเพื่อช่วยกันรณรงค์ หรือกำหนดนโยบาย หรือกฎหมาย เพื่อสร้างสรรค์สังคมที่สงบสุขไร้ความรุนแรงอย่างยั่งยืน

แนวทางเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการป้องกันการเปิดบัญชีม้าของเด็กและเยาวชน, ธัญชนก จ้อยสำเภา

การวิจัยเรื่อง “แนวทางในการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการป้องกันการเปิดบัญชีม้าของเด็กและเยาวชน” มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาสภาพปัญหา และสาเหตุการเปิดบัญชีม้าของเด็กและเยาวชน 2) เพื่อศึกษาปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการป้องกันปราบปรามการเปิดบัญชีม้าของเด็กและเยาวชน 3) เพื่อเสนอแนะแนวทางในการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการป้องกันการเปิดบัญชีม้าของเด็กและเยาวชน โดยอาศัยข้อมูลจากการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพและใช้การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกกับผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญจำนวน 15 คน โดยแบ่งออกเป็น 4 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ เจ้าหน้าที่รัฐที่มีหน้าที่ออกมาตรการทางกฎหมาย เจ้าหน้าที่บังคับใช้กฎหมาย พนักงานธนาคาร และผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านเด็กและเยาวชน ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ปัจจัยที่ส่งผลให้เด็กและเยาวชนตกเป็นเหยื่อบัญชีม้า มีปัจจัยสำคัญ 3 ประการ ได้แก่ 1) การขาดความรู้ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับอาชญากรรมทางการเงินและผลกระทบของการเป็นบัญชีม้า 2) การขาดการดูแลและคำแนะนำจากครอบครัว ทำให้เยาวชนถูกชักจูงได้ง่าย และ 3) แรงจูงใจทางเศรษฐกิจที่เด็กและเยาวชนได้รับค่าตอบแทนเป็นที่น่าดึงดูด อย่างไรก็ตาม ผลการศึกษายังชี้ให้เห็นถึงความสำคัญของบทบาทผู้ปกครองและหน่วยงานรัฐในการให้ความรู้และการเสริมสร้างภูมิคุ้มกันให้แก่เด็กและเยาวชน รวมถึงการกำหนดนโยบายที่ชัดเจนและครอบคลุม เช่น การจำกัดการเปิดบัญชีใหม่เพื่อป้องกันการกระทำผิด การวิจัยนี้เสนอแนวทางป้องกันเด็กและเยาวชนจากการตกเป็นเหยื่อบัญชีม้า โดยการให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับภัยที่อาจเกิดขึ้น รวมถึงการเสริมสร้างทักษะการคิดวิเคราะห์และการระวังภัยทางการเงินให้แก่เยาวชนอย่างเหมาะสมเพื่อเป็นการลดปัจจัยเสี่ยงและเสริมสร้างภูมิคุ้มกันให้เยาวชนไทย

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาและวิเคราะห์การนำเทคโนโลยีปัญญาประดิษฐ์ (AI) มาใช้ในการป้องกันอาชญากรรมบนท้องถนน (Street Crime) รวมถึงการระบุปัญหาและข้อจำกัดในการใช้งานเทคโนโลยีดังกล่าว เพื่อเสนอแนะแนวทางที่มีประสิทธิภาพสำหรับการป้องกันอาชญากรรมบนท้องถนนในบริบทของกองบัญชาการตำรวจนครบาล โดยเป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) ที่ใช้ทั้งการศึกษาข้อมูลจากเอกสาร (Documentary Research) และการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก (In-depth Interview) กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ศึกษาเป็นกลุ่มเฉพาะเจาะจง (Purposive Sampling) ประกอบด้วยเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจผู้ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ นักอาชญาวิทยา นักพัฒนาเทคโนโลยี AI นักวิชาการเทคโนโลยี AI และนักกฎหมายด้านเทคโนโลยี AI รวมจำนวน 13 คน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า AI ไปใช้ในการป้องกันอาชญากรรมบนท้องถนน (Street crimes) ได้ 4 ประการ ดังนี้ 1. การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล จากกล้องวงจรปิด (CCTV Analytics) 2. การจดจำใบหน้า (Facial Recognition) 3. การติดตามยานพาหนะ (Vehicle Tracking) 4.การยับยั้งและข่มขู่ผู้กระทำความผิดด้วย การติดตั้งกล้องวงจรปิด สำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติได้เริ่มนำ AI มาใช้ในพื้นที่นำร่องบางแห่งในกรุงเทพมหานคร แต่ยังไม่ได้ขยายการใช้งานให้ครอบคลุมทั่วประเทศ ประเทศไทยยังขาดความพร้อมในหลายด้านสำหรับการนำ AI มาใช้ในการป้องกันอาชญากรรม การทำงานร่วมกันระหว่างมนุษย์และ AI สามารถเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการป้องกันอาชญากรรมได้ดีกว่าการใช้อย่างใดอย่างหนึ่งเพียงลำพัง อีกทั้งการติดตั้งกล้องวงจรปิดที่ทำงานร่วมกับ AI ยังช่วยยับยั้งอาชญากรรมผ่านผลทางจิตวิทยาต่อผู้กระทำผิด อย่างไรก็ตาม การนำเทคโนโลยี AI มาใช้ยังมีปัญหาและข้อจำกัดสำคัญ เช่น ปัญหาอุปสรรคของการป้องกันอาชญากรรมโดยใช้เทคโนโลยีปัญญาประดิษฐ์ 1) ความแม่นยำของ AI 2) ด้านกฎหมาย งบประมาณในการติดตั้งระบบ AI และกล้องวงจรปิด การฝึกอบรมเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจให้สามารถใช้งานเทคโนโลยีนี้ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ความเสี่ยงต่อการเกิดอคติ (bias) การวิจัยนี้จึงข้อเสนอแนะอาทิ สำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติกำหนดนโยบายในการวิเคราะห์สถิติการเกิดอาชญากรรมในแต่ละกองบังคับการตำรวจนครบาลและกำหนดพื้นที่ที่มีอัตราการเกิดอาชญากรรมสูงเพื่อทดลองใช้ AI ในการตรวจจับและป้องกันอาชญากรรม รวมทั้งการพัฒนาระบบ AI และการสร้างกรอบการทำงานที่เหมาะสมเพื่อสนับสนุนการใช้งานอย่างยั่งยืนและมีประสิทธิภาพในบริบทของการป้องกันอาชญากรรมในประเทศไทย

Autistic college students are significantly more likely to experience suicidal thoughts and behaviors (STBs) than the general college student population. Jackson et al. (2018) found that 75% of autistic college students experienced some form of suicidal behavior at some point in their lives. Autistic college students are also more likely to successfully complete suicide on the first attempt. Suicide death is 3-7 times more common among autistic people than the general population (Cervantes et al., 2022). [There is a war being waged against African Americans, and their ability to speak out against racial injustice, which is more intense than any past attempt at suppression, since post-reconstruction in America. This war has been characterized by state legislative initiatives aimed at denying consideration or discussion of Critical Race Theory. An analysis of opinion poll data on housing issues. The article finds that Americans generally believe that their community needs more housing of all types, but are more closely divided about whether such housing should be in their own neighborhoods. The article further finds that members of minority groups, lower-income Americans, and younger Americans are more pro-housing than older, affluent whites.

The recent wave of anti-LGBTQ+ politics and policies in Florida pose potential risks to the mental health and well-being of Florida’s LGBTQ+ students. The present study surveyed LGBTQ+ students attending private colleges in Florida to measure their self-reported stress levels in comparison to non-LGBTQ+ students, the level at which they believed specific sources of stress contributed to their stress levels, their level of distress upon experiencing discrimination, their sense of sexual identity distress, and their awareness of and involvement in advocacy against Florida’s anti-LGBTQ+ bills. วิทยานิพนธ์เรื่องแนวทางการป้องกันการกระทำผิดเกี่ยวกับหนังสือเดินทาง ในประเทศไทย มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสถานการณ์การกระทำผิดเกี่ยวกับหนังสือเดินทาง ในประเทศไทย พร้อมทั้งวิเคราะห์สภาพปัญหาด้านการป้องกันการกระทำผิดเกี่ยวกับ หนังสือเดินทาง เพื่อนำไปสู่แนวทางการป้องกันการกระทำผิดเกี่ยวกับหนังสือเดินทาง ในประเทศไทย โดยเป็นการศึกษาเชิงคุณภาพด้วยการวิจัยเอกสารและการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกจาก ผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ ประกอบด้วย เจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจตรวจคนเข้าเมือง ระดับบริหารและ ระดับปฏิบัติการ จำนวนทั้งสิ้น 23 ท่าน ผลการศึกษาพบว่า สถานการณ์การกระทำผิดเกี่ยวกับหนังสือเดินทาง ในประเทศไทยที่สำคัญ ได้แก่ 1) รูปแบบการกระทำผิดเกี่ยวกับหนังสือเดินทางที่พบได้ทั่วไป 2) การกระทำผิดของแรงงาน 4 สัญชาติ 3) การใช้หนังสือเดินทางไทยโดยมิชอบ 4) การใช้ประเทศไทยเป็นทางผ่านในการกระทำผิดเกี่ยวกับหนังสือเดินทาง 5) ผลกระทบของการกระทำผิดต่อประเทศไทย และ 6) แนวโน้มการกระทำผิดและพฤติกรรมปกปิดตัวตนในประเทศไทย และเมื่อวิเคราะห์สภาพปัญหาด้านการป้องกันการกระทำผิดเกี่ยวกับหนังสือเดินทางในประเทศไทย พบสภาพปัญหา 7 ด้าน ได้แก่ 1) มุมมองของรัฐ 2) กฎหมาย 3) การบังคับใช้กฎหมาย 4) งบประมาณ 5) เทคโนโลยี 6) ความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศ และ 7) บุคลากร ซึ่งภาพสะท้อนเหล่านี้นำไปสู่แนวทางการป้องกันการกระทำผิดเกี่ยวกับหนังสือเดินทางในประเทศไทย โดยผู้วิจัยเสนอให้สำนักงานตรวจคนเข้าเมืองจัดให้มีการฝึกอบรมแก่บุคลากร จัดตั้งศูนย์ข้อมูลหนังสือเดินทางอย่างเป็นทางการเพื่อสนับสนุนการทำงานแก่เจ้าหน้าที่ โดยเจ้าหน้าที่จะต้องมีความตระหนักในบทบาทหน้าที่ของตนอยู่เสมอ อีกทั้งการพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีด้านความปลอดภัย ที่เกี่ยวกับหนังสือเดินทางและงานตรวจคนเข้าเมืองจะช่วยเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพด้านความมั่นคง มากขึ้น รวมถึงการขยายผลการจับกุมที่จะช่วยป้องกันการกระทำความผิดซ้ำต่อไป

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์สาเหตุของปัญหา อุปสรรค และข้อขัดข้องในการบังคับใช้พระราชบัญญัติการไกล่เกลี่ยข้อพิพาท พ.ศ. 2562 ในชั้นการสอบสวนของพนักงานสอบสวนในสังกัดกองบัญชาการตำรวจนครบาล โดยมุ่งเน้นศึกษาบริบทของกรุงเทพมหานคร ผู้วิจัยเลือกใช้วิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพโดยค้นคว้าข้อมูลเชิงเอกสาร และการสัมภาษณ์แบบกึ่งโครงสร้าง ซึ่งเป็นเก็บข้อมูลจากผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญจำนวน 4 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ พนักงานสอบสวนที่มีประสบการณ์ในการปฏิบัติงานในกองบัญชาการตำรวจนครบาล ผู้ไกล่เกลี่ยที่มีหน้าที่ไกล่เกลี่ยในคดีอาญา พนักงานอัยการ และคณะกรรมาธิการร่างพระราชบัญญัติการไกล่เกลี่ยข้อพิพาท พ.ศ. 2562 ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ถึงแม้พระราชบัญญัติการไกล่เกลี่ยข้อพิพาท พ.ศ. 2562 มีเจตนารมณ์ในการลดภาระของระบบยุติธรรม ลดปริมาณคดีที่เข้าสู่ศาล และลดจำนวนผู้ต้องขังในเรือนจำ แต่ปัญหาที่พบคือพนักงานสอบสวนกลับไม่นำมาใช้จริงในทางปฏิบัติ เนื่องจากกระบวนการมีความซับซ้อนมากกว่าการดำเนินคดีโดยทั่วไป พนักงานสอบสวนขาดแรงจูงใจในการปฏิบัติโดยไม่ได้รับค่าตอบแทนจากการดำเนินสำนวนการไกล่เกลี่ย อีกทั้งประชาชนยังขาดความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับกระบวนการไกล่เกลี่ยข้อพิพาท ซึ่งส่งผลให้พวกเขาไม่ยินยอมเข้าสู่กระบวนการไกล่เกลี่ยข้อพิพาท ดังนั้นสำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติจึงควรแก้ไขปัญหาโดยการให้ความรู้ประชาชน เพิ่มค่าตอบแทนให้กับพนักงานสอบสวน และจัดให้มีผู้ช่วยพนักงานสอบสวนเพื่อช่วยดำเนินการแทนพนักงานสอบสวน เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการทำงานและอันจะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อประชาชนต่อไป

This conceptual overview offers a comprehensive overview of systemic pathways that negatively impact the mental health of Black Men throughout their lives. Our argument highlights the importance for counselors and mental health professionals to utilize a thorough social risk assessment that considers these pathways in order to effectively address the mental health needs of Black Men while fostering positive working relationships. This overview strongly advocates for the use of context and structural determinants when evaluating mental health symptoms. Without an appropriate understanding of social risk and determinants, counselors may inadvertently perpetuate disparities by decontextualizing symptomology, and reproducing racist discourse.

This thesis examines the plight of undocumented Filipino immigrants, referred to as “TNT” or “tago nang tago” (hiding and hiding), within the context of an increasingly restrictive US immigration system. I argue that two key factors have driven more Filipinos to pursue unauthorized entry into the US since the 1980s despite heightened risks. First, US immigration policy changes enacted in the 1980s and 1990s implemented stricter numerical caps that severely limited available visas for Filipino immigrants to use legal immigration pathways into the United States. Second, enduring sociocultural constructs propagate the notion that Filipinos represent immigrant desirability for US citizenship. …

Research suggests that Division I college-student athletes experience higher levels of stress and other behavioral health issues than their non-athlete counterparts, with up to 20% of them suffering from depression (Sudano et al., 2017). Context for the Study
In July, 2023, Oregon legislators voted to fund research exploring the impacts of the criminalization of sex work in Oregon. Unfortunately, the Governor vetoed the budget item, stating that the private sector should fund this type of public health research and noting the need for additional public discussion about the issue. To date, there have been no attempts to study the impacts of prostitution laws on the people most impacted by them in Oregon. The research presented in this report seeks to address this gap.
