The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of Work Environment and Job Performance of Librarians in Ahmadu Bello University Library (KIL), Zaria. Survey research design was adopted for this study. The population of the study was 131 librarians from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. A self-structured questionnaire was used to collect data. Library Faculty Publications and Presentations

This recipe describes starting a library-led open educational resources (OER) as a mechanism to recognize and promote cost-savings for students while allowing faculty to tailor their learning materials to specific pedagogy needs. The grassroots approach is best implemented alongside existing organizational infrastructures. At the University of Wyoming (UW), the OER initiative developed without a dedicated position or home department but rather a collaborative foundation across the libraries which builds momentum, spreads the message, and ultimately the workload.

Privacy is a major issue within libraries; however, the general concept of privacy varies across culture, context, and era. To understand what libraries mean when they discuss privacy, this article looks at the codes of ethics from 70 international library associations to find references to privacy. Using a content analysis, several themes emerge as issues that should be considered and asserted when approaching privacy concerns in the library.

Cross-disciplinary research (multi-/interdisciplinarity) is incentivized by funding agencies to foster research outcomes addressing complex societal challenges. This study focuses on the link between cross-disciplinary research and its uptake in a broad set of policy-related documents. Using the new policy-oriented database Overton, matched to Scopus, logistic regression was used in assessing this relationship in publications from FP7- and H2020-supported projects. Cross-disciplinary research was captured through two lenses at the paper level, namely from the disciplinary diversity of contributing authors (DDA) and of cited references (DDR). The 2020 report highlights the exponential growth of PDXScholar with almost 2.1 million (2,094,796) full text downloads. This is an increase of approximately 800,000 downloads from 2019, representing a 62% increase.

The report also focuses on our work to bring online new collections and to highlight research impacting our communities, academics, and personal lives.

Many colleges and universities have adopted core competencies during the last two decades. Their adoption reflects larger national trends in outcomes assessment, teaching and learning, and regional accreditation. Faculty at LaGuardia Community College sought model assignments with reflections on their design that speak to the college’s core competencies— integrative learning, inquiry and problem-solving, and global learning—and the communication abilities that students use to express them—written, oral, and digital communication abilities.
