The culture of library automation is dully practiced in some academic libraries in Nigeria while, in some others it is not. This study focuses on Challenges and Facilitating Factors of Library Automation in academic libraries in Nigeria using FUTO Library as a case study.

Information literacy enables students to develop critical skills that will help them to become independent lifelong learners. The information literacy skills of pre-service music teachers from public and private tertiary institutions in Nigeria's southern region were assessed in this study. In this study, a survey research method was used. The study's population consisted of all pre-service music teachers in the region. Navigating copyright issues can be frustrating to the point of causing anxiety, potentially discouraging or inhibiting legitimate uses of copyright-protected materials. A lack of data about the extent and impact of these phenomena, known as copyright anxiety and copyright chill, respectively, motivated the authors to create the Copyright Anxiety Scale (CAS). This article provides an overview of the CAS’s development and validity testing. Purpose – This study demonstrates that aggregated data from the Repository Analytics and Metrics Portal (RAMP) have significant potential to analyze visibility and use of institutional repositories (IR) as well as potential factors affecting their use, including repository size, platform, content, device and global location. The RAMP dataset is unique and public.

Design/methodology/approach – The webometrics methodology was followed to aggregate and analyze use and performance data from 35 institutional repositories in seven countries that were registered with the RAMP for a five-month period in 2019. Citation indices are tools used by the academic community for research and research evaluation that aggregate scientific literature output and measure impact by collating citation counts. Citation indices help measure the interconnections between scientific papers but fall short because they fail to communicate contextual information about a citation.
