Abstract
The study investigated the influence of school libraries usage in promoting reading culture among secondary school students in Rivers State, Nigeria. Three research questions and two null hypotheses guided the study. Six secondary schools were selected from the three senatorial districts in Rivers State. The study adopted survey design. Uptake of new ICT innovations involves fulfilling many requirements ranging from technical to human resources. This study investigated factors influencing administrative staffs toward the adoption of cloud computing. This paper explore the actual use of the physical space in Kenneth Dike Library by the students' population, the role these spaces are playing for learning and for related services in the university of Ibadan academic environment. It looked at the suitability of available spaces and suggestions for improvement. Survey method was adopted for the study with 94.5% response rate. It found that quite study is what attract majority respondents to Kenneth Dike Library. What emerged was that academic pursuits remain the most common activity in the library space.

A quantitative study of the libraries of 7 Technical Universities (TUs) of Ghana was conducted to evaluate information literacy programmes at such universities in Ghana. The study employed a descriptive survey research strategy. A sample of 7 librarians out of the 8 TU libraries in Ghana was collected using purposive sampling. A questionnaire served as the instrument to collect data relating to the objectives of the study. This paper assesses the impact of “One Laptop Per Child Policy” on teaching and learning in basic schools in Ghana. Specifically, 500 students were randomly selected together with 10 information and communication technology (ICT) instructors in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Both questionnaire and in-depth interviews were used for gathering data. The data collected were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). This study was conducted in seventeen Indian university Libraries to assess the familiarity and usage of cloud computing applications among Library and information Science professionals. The investigator collected responses from 56 number of LIS professionals working at 17 Indian University Libraries, through a structured questionnaire. Results revealed that the usage of cloud computing applications in library operation and services is not very significant. This article addresses the purpose, the organization, and results of an experimental credit-bearing upper division service-learning course at a Master’s granting university, entitled LIBR 397: The Digital Divide. In addition to reviewing collegiate efforts on teaching the Digital Divide within the United States, this article also provides an overview of the challenges and successes associated with teaching such a course. In conclusion, the unique nature of the LIBR 397 course prompted students to see firsthand the complexities inherent in the Digital Divide phenomenon within the United States. In light of a high HIV/AIDS prevalence rate among women in Zimbabwe, this study sought to assess the extent to which the Zimbabwe Women’s Resource Centre and Network (ZWRCN) was effective in disseminating HIV/AIDS information to combat the pandemic among women.
