The high costs of textbooks negatively impact access, success, and retention rates for undergraduate students. Librarians from Florida Gulf Coast University in Ft. Myers, Florida, and the University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama, have established textbook affordability programs, using course reserves, e-resources, and open educational resources to help reduce the textbook burden for their students. Each library has developed a set of best practices for implementation and success that can be adapted by other higher education institutions that are interested in beginning a similar project.

The purpose of this study was to better understand the types of experiences which have contributed to Arab international students’ perceptions and uses of information and libraries. In-depth, semi-structured interviews were conducted to understand how students from the MENA region perceive and use libraries and information as international students in the U.S. During interviews, participants were asked about their past and present experiences with seeking information and using libraries in both their home countries as well as during their time as students in the United States.

The objective of present study is to examine the user's satisfaction level of library sources and services in Pushpalata Vidya Mandir CBSE School, Tirunelveli. 100 questionnaires were distributed among the students to collect relevant data out of which, 95 questionnaires were received back. The findings of the study shows that 51 (53.68%) of the respondents were male. This study examined the relationship between use of library resources and research productivity of lecturers in Private Universities in South-South geopolitical zone of Nigeria. Descriptive research design was adopted for the study. A sample of 368 lecturers was selected for the study and questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection. 231 copies of the questionnaire were retrieved, representing 63% response rate. Data was analyzed using simple percentages, and mean; Pearson correlation coefficient was used for test of hypothesis.

University and community outreach is an important part of library services, which fosters cohesiveness while involving adequate community support. This paper examines how outreach has become an important part of the library’s mission. Many outreach examples include the partnering of libraries with university departments, offices, and organizations. Other examples include university libraries partnering with community groups, museums, and non-profits. Currently outreach projects are carried out across all libraries, however, a greater emphasis is placed on the recent outreach accomplished at Southwestern Oklahoma State University Libraries.
