As the Covid-19 greatly affected the libraries, so too did the librarians' attempts to reach the library users through online and remote services. These emergency reforms have offered an unexpected opportunity to re-evaluate and re-imagine current service models in order to improve the library's user experience. This study looks into the awareness of online library services and the frequency of utilization of online resources among education students during the COVID 19 Pandemic. Media literacy is widely viewed as an important tool in the fight against the spread of misinformation online. However, efforts to boost media literacy have primarily focused on Western-media and Western-oriented social media platforms, which are substantively different from the media and platforms used widely in the Global South. In the present work, we focus on the media ecosystem of Indonesia and report the results of an online media literacy intervention consisting of short-videos that were targeted specifically to social media users in Indonesia (N= 656). Filipino Students’ Competency In Evaluating Digital Media Content Credibility: ‘Beginning’ To ‘Emerging’ Levels, Margarita Felipe Fajardo

This study investigates Filipino students’ reasoning competency levels in evaluating the credibility of digital media content and whether significant statistical differences exist in their competency by education status, sex, age group, Internet use, and geographical location. Four hundred twenty-four students representing the senior high school, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels responded to four modified versions of the Stanford History Education Group’s civic online reasoning tasks. The study found that most students have ‘beginning’ competency levels in author-checking, fact-checking, and bias-checking but ‘emerging’ competency levels for image-checking. A benefit of the traditional one-to-one, hierarchical mentoring relationship is the individualized attention and guidance the mentor provides the mentee. This singular mentoring relationship can be effective but is not always sufficient in addressing institutional acculturation and meeting personal needs of the new employee. This paper discusses how an emergent mentoring program at Milner Library blended the dyadic mentoring relationship with cohort-based programming to create a space for participants to learn from colleagues across departments, share experiences, and consider psychosocial issues. These grassroots programming efforts have cultivated holistic engagement and renewed community.

Previous investigations into trends in Library and Information Science (LIS) literature have revealed changes in the topics librarians publish on over time, with older studies highlighting classification and indexing, and information retrieval and more recent studies highlighting keywords such as internet, information technology, digital libraries, and again, information retrieval. No similar investigation has been conducted on current publication trends by health sciences librarians. In January 2021, the US passed the National Artificial Intelligence Initiative Act of 2020. The goal is a cohesive federal AI initiative, and part of that is safety, ethics, and transparency. The act includes funding appropriations for 2021-2025, and roll out takes place over that time. In implementing this law, there is recent and ongoing activity to regulate AI in the US. Regular calls for public participation go out to the public on www.federalregister.gov in the form of open ended questions on which input is requested, and feedback on reports or action plans.

Study evaluated the usage and user satisfaction of electronic resources specially the subscribed electronic information resources among the professional staff members of the Faculty of Education, University of Colombo. All professional staff members of (31) the Faculty of Education, university of Colombo were the study population. The survey research design was conducted by sending Google forms. Total number of 31 questionnaires were circulated and 28 were resumed at the rate of 90%.
