Academic and research libraries are dependent on a wide range of technology and systems to manage access and storage of digital research materials and collections. Given the high level of costs and staff needed to support these systems, the factors that influence library leadership in their decision-making process to support or adopt new technologies is important.

To understand the dynamics involved with this decision-making process, this study specifically examined influencing factors that academic library leaders use in their decisions to support or adopt institutional repository (IR) systems. Abstract: Censorship has become more prevalent in Chinese cultural and social life since the 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre. Modern commentary on Chinese censorship focuses on news media and Internet, but neglects print books, which is part of a broader crackdown on dissent. To fill this gap, the project aims to map the contours of book censorship in China during the past 30 years. The emphasis is on the Chinese authorities’ increasing attempts to dominate people’s minds under Xi Jinping, who ascended to power as the leader of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in 2012. This study aims to analyze the implementation of archival policies in the Directorate General of Regional Autonomy, Ministry of Home Affairs (Ditjen Otonomi Daerah Kemendagri). This research was conducted using a postpositivist approach and qualitative data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that almost all the variables of policy implementation support the archival implementation at the Directorate General of Regional Autonomy. Japan is no longer a rich country. The poverty rate for “a single adult household with at least one child” is the third highest among the 44 countries of OECD. Public libraries should provide study-aid books, workbooks, and IT equipment to poor students. Based of this idea, we first identified 129 study-aid books and workbooks for junior high and high school students. Next, we investigated whether public libraries of all 1,392 Japanese local governments held them. The study examines and explores the websites of 20 private engineering colleges in North India through a webometric analysis. The data have collected through the Google search engine. Webometrics is a tool for measuring the impact of the web. This study investigates the domain systems of the websites, analysis the number of web pages and link pages, and calculates the internal and external links. The complexities of Open Access can result in uninformed high-stakes decision-making for researchers on the cusp of entering the publishing world. Graduate students need to understand how Open Access influences their research practices, and how to negotiate rights in a complex publishing ecosystem. Here we describe a collaboration between research librarians and writing center professionals that integrates Open Access education into a workshop series on graduate student writing. Specifically, we co-designed a presentation that bridged manuscript preparation (an obvious publication step) with the less-obvious issues surrounding Open Access.

This paper gives an overview of knowledge management (KM) research in Zimbabwe and analyses the most significant research trends and patterns from 2010 to 2022. The literature review technique was used to collect data, focusing on characteristics of publication outputs, focus of the researches, research methods, and summary of key findings. Findings show that research in knowledge management is still limited in Zimbabwe. The corporate sector receives the most focus from KM researchers, followed by knowledge-oriented institutions, the public sector, Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs), media organisations, and agriculture-related enterprises. According to the National Science Foundation's 2012 Science and Engineering Indicators, "less than 17% of new PhDs in science, engineering and health-related fields find tenure-track positions within 3 years after graduation."
