This study aims to describe the quality of services on-site at the Library of the Faculty of Education during the period new normal. The population of this research is active students in the Faculty of Education. Determination of the number of samples using the formula Slovin with 883. The number of research samples is 90 respondents with incidental sampling technique—data collection techniques with the questionnaire method through a google form, observation, and documentation. The study examined the web information seeking behavior of undergraduate students by evaluating information sources for academic purpose on the web. Three hundred questionnaires were distributed evaluating students perceptions on information sources on the web. Descriptive analysis, One-Way ANOVA was carried out in the analysis of data using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software. The study revealed that relevance of the information source was a major criterion for evaluation among undergraduate students in Landmark University. Undergraduates are known to be early adopters and users of social media and are socially competent online as against offline. The study sought to determine the social competence of students as exhibited on social media against the background of a growing decline in undergraduates’ offline social relevance. This case study examines an experiment in archival practice and mentorship undertaken at the University of Oklahoma (OU) during the spring semester of 2019. The project concerned the inventory of an important privately held archive in American Indian history. The case study describes the process and documentation involved in an institution assuming temporary custody of a private collection, including legal and ethical considerations of temporary custody, and explores the mentorship relationship among group of interdisciplinary faculty and students, as well as the products, both archival and non-archival, that resulted form this collaborative effort.

Libraries that host literary festivals connect book lovers and writers in a very personal way, enabling libraries to bask in the glory of that connection. They allow fans to get close to a beloved writer, hear a reading, and maybe even get a book signed. And like almost everything else during the pandemic, they have had to adapt or go into indefinite hiatus.

Liaison librarianship was a model that our library had been attempting to practice for some time with mixed success. Our dean had phased in a liaison model two years prior, but after a two-year pilot, there were still not many meaningful changes in how instruction and collection development took place. During the course of 2021, after a season of retirements, a global pandemic, and a new strategic plan, the Gonzaga University library was left with six library faculty to serve more than 7,000 students. Since information science concerns the transmission of records, it concerns context. The transmission of documents ensures their arrival in new contexts. Documents and their copies are spread across times and places. The amount of labor required to discover and retrieve relevant documents is also formulated by context. Thus, any serious consideration of communication and of information technologies quickly leads to a concern with context, relevance, and labor. Information scientists have developed many theories of context, relevance, and labor but not a framework for organizing them and describing their relationship with one another.
