Abstract: Present study is a base on the use of electronic resources by the teachers of various college libraries in Marathwada. This survey was particularly conducted to know the awareness and use of e-resources like E-Journals, E-Books, CD/DVDs, OPAC, E-Databases and Internet etc. in various college libraries of Marathwada. Primary data were collected from 210 respondents with the help of survey. The data were collected with the aid of a questionnaire and analyzed through the use of SSPS and Microsoft Excel. This article reviews scholarship of incorporating institutional objectives in academic courses and proposes a method to embed mission-critical competencies in a library instruction course. Few academic institutions focus their mission or core competencies on digital communication. LaGuardia Community College delineates three competencies in its mission: inquiry and problem solving, global learning, and integrative learning. Students exhibit command of these competencies in written, oral, or digital communication. The College defines the digital communication ability as successful collaboration and interaction using online tools, such as discussion boards, either to stage written exchange, or to capture video or oral discussions. This article investigates ways in which student voice informed design research into information literacy instruction in a year-long graduate science education ePortfolio culminating project. Library and science education faculty partnered in a two-year project to create communities of secondary science education students, in two cohorts, who used the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education to support their own research and reflections into information literacy. Cybersecurity is a fast-evolving discipline that is always in the news over the last decade, as the number of threats rises and cybercriminals constantly endeavor to stay a step ahead of law enforcement. Over the years, although the original motives for carrying out cyberattacks largely remain unchanged, cybercriminals have become increasingly sophisticated with their techniques. Traditional cybersecurity solutions are becoming inadequate at detecting and mitigating emerging cyberattacks. Advances in cryptographic and Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques (in particular, machine learning and deep learning) show promise in enabling cybersecurity experts to counter the ever-evolving threat posed by adversaries. By doing so we identify some of the best content links and search features to include on our own redesigned homepage. We also discuss headings that may be used for categories or menus appearing on the homepage. Our competitors’ menu systems and the movement to responsive webpage layout is also examined.

This paper analyzed the growth of open access institutional repositories in Nigeria over the last 10 years. OpenDoar website is a directory of all open access institutional repositories in the world. It is a quality-assured global directory that enables the identification, browsing and search for repositories. OpenDoar was analyzed to get statistics of institutional repositories in Nigeria based on such parameters as: Type, Status, software, total number of records, subject covered and content uploaded. This study was conducted to assess the levels of motivation of 14 motivating factors on academic librarians in four Nigerian Federal Universities based on gender and years of service. The population comprised of 66 librarians from the universities of Abeokuta, Calabar, Ibadan, and Uyo. An 18-item structured questionnaire, with section A soliciting for respondents’ biodata and section B soliciting for respondents’ opinion regarding how much they were motivated by each of the 14 motivating factors, was adopted for data collection. This article describes an active-learning exercise intended to help teach copyright, fair use, and Creative Commons licenses. In the exercise students use a worksheet to draw original pictures, create derivative pictures on tracing paper, select Creative Commons licenses, and explore commercial usage, fair use, and copyright infringement. Librarian-instructors may find the completed worksheets to be useful aids to supplement copyright lectures; student perspectives will be integral because they are generating the examples used in discussion. Evans shared the process and learning takeaways from a recent project, comparing and cleaning up the data in both a repository and library catalog for items from a single collection. This study was designed to investigate the influence of parenting styles on children’s/wards’ use of social media at Oritamefa Baptist Model School (OBMS), Ibadan, Nigeria. The study adopted the ex-post facto research design, questionnaire was the main instrument of data collection. Two hundred and sixty-eight copies of a questionnaire were administered, out of which 240 copies were retrieved and found valid for analysis, constituting 89.5% response rate. Percentages, mean, and standard deviation were used to analyse research questions while Pearson Product Moment correlation at 0.05 level of significance was used to test the hypothesis. Therefore, the paper investigates the use of social media in performing library services in Nigeria. Survey research method was adopted. The sample for this study consists of 85 library personnel. Records created about archival materials—including deeds of gift, collection-related correspondence, and other accession documentation—play an important role, particularly when it comes to providing access and maintaining partnerships with other recordkeepers. This case study will describe a project to review the accession documentation of all collections within Augusta University’s Special Collections & Institutional Archives, and the collections of the local historical society, held on deposit with the department.
