This paper examines the curricula of library and information science education in Nigeria with a view of determining its present state of content of its courses offered and how it affects the present graduates produced in the universities with respect to the labour market for librarians in this age of computerisation / digitisation. This paper is an outcome of the research study conducted by the authors on information seeking behavior of tapioca growers in Salem District, Tamilnadu, India. Data were collected by using structured questionnaire and analyzed by using chi-squire test. This study discusses the findings of various strategies and procedures adopted by the tapioca growers in meeting their information requirements. The survey result shows that tapioca growers have expressed great dependence in meeting their information requirements on their mass media sources.

A total of 3,052 citations were analyzed appended from 33 dissertations submitted by LLM students of University of Delhi, Delhi in 2006.It was found that 25.52% citations were from the journal articles and EPW with 7.19% citations was the most used journal.69.78% citations were from the subject of Law and 79.84% contributions were produced under single author-ship.41% periodicals were cited from USA.Half-life of periodical literature was 11 years.

It was discovered that without citation, there may be no other means of obtaining clarification or additional information about a write up. The research objective is to discover the user satisfaction with library resources and services in Nigerian Agricultural Research Institutes (NARIs) In conducting this study, the survey research design was adopted with User Satisfaction with Library Resources and Services Questionnaire (USLRSQ) and structured interview as major instruments for data collection. The questionnaire was administered on 340 researchers from the entire 14 agricultural research institute in Nigeria. The overall response rate was 73.5%. This study investigated the extent to which academics in science and engineering have access to research information through their university libraries. Stratified random sampling technique was used to select six universities, which were sampled from 13 Federal universities in Southern Nigeria. This paper investigated the professional visibility of Nigerian library association (NLA). The descriptive survey method was adopted for this study. Data collected and analyzed was based on 200 non-librarians in Abia state and 25 librarians who are registered members of NLA in the Abia state chapter. 68.5% of the non-librarians whose knowledge of NLA was explored have not heard or know of NLA, while 76% of the librarians, whose opinions were gathered, agreed that NLA is not visible in Nigeria.
