With scientific consensus regarding the occurrence of climate variability and climate change it is clear that farmers can benefit from science-based adaptation strategies for managing climate-related risk. To this end, cooperative extension professionals must engage in climate training events that are carefully planned and tailored to their specific needs. This study consisted of 50 interviews with extension professionals from four states (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina) and collected information about the perceptions of climate variability and change as well as the preferred approaches for climate-related training in extension. Shale development, which uses the controversial energy extraction technique of hydraulic fracturing, is on the rise in America, with industries recently investigating the New Albany shale play in southern Illinois and western Kentucky. We ask: what do community leaders in this region think about shale development generally, and how do they come to their decisions? To answer these questions, we interviewed eighteen community leaders, twelve of whom were proponents of shale development. The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) is a federally funded program designed to increase fresh fruit and vegetable consumption among WIC participants. Research to date has examined the effectiveness of this program in reaching that goal. The current study measures the impact this program is having on some farmers that participate in the program. Farmers are an overlooked group that not only must agree to participate for programs like this to be successful but also are often living below the poverty line as are their customers. In his article "Ethical Dilemma and Ethical Epiphany in McEwan's The Children Act" Biwu Shang attempts to explore the ethical nature of the child's welfare in Ian McEwan's novel. Shang examines the various legal cases processed by the British High Court judge Fiona Maye and the blood transfusion case of Adam Henry in particular. Shang argues that Maye adopts ethical criteria throughout the cases she deals with. In her article "Ethical Discourse and Narrative Strategies in Yan's老师,好美 (To My Teacher, with Love)" Zhuo Wang discusses the way in which narrative converges with ethics at the site of a radical "ethical environment" in Geling Yan's novel. In her article "Narrative Ethics and Alterity in Adichie's Novel Americanah" Nora Berning analyses Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's novel through the lens of a narrative ethics of alterity. Focusing on the notion of alterity, Berning argues that a specific turn-of-the-century ethics emerges in contemporary fictions of migration in general and in intercultural novels in particular. The Restatement (Second) and Restatement (Third) of the Foreign Relations Law took notably different approaches to treaty interpretation, reflecting intervening changes in the legal landscape. This symposium contribution identifies five developments in international and domestic law since the Restatement (Third). It then considers their import for the forthcoming Restatement (Fourth). Most importantly, it argues that the Restatement (Fourth) should fully incorporate two articles on treaty interpretation from the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties into its black-letter provisions. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) perbedaan pengaruh metode latihan drill umpan konstan dan metode latihan drill umpan berubah-ubah terhadap ketepatan pukulan drive tenis meja; (2) perbedaan ketepatan pukulan drive tenis meja antara atlet yang mempunyai waktu reaksi tinggi dan rendah; (3) pengaruh interaksi antara metode drill dan waktu reaksi terhadap ketepatan pukulan drive tenis meja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan: (1) tes keterampilan olahraga woodball untuk pemula yang valid, (2) mengembangkan tes keterampilan olahraga woodball untuk pemula yang reliabel, dan (3) norma penilaian tes keterampilan olahraga woodball untuk pemula. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini terdiri dari enam langkah kegiatan, yaitu: identifikasi kebutuhan, analisis pengembangan produk, menulis tujuan kinerja, mengembangkan instrumen penilaian, merancang dan mengevaluasi produk, serta merevisi produk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap bakat siswa sekolah dasar (SD) pada cabang olahraga panahan di Kabupaten Manokwari. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SD negeri dan swasta di Kabupaten Manokwari. Kemadjoean (progress) was a key term for all social movement in the early 20th century Dutch East Indies. This article argued that the discourse of progress has no single meaning throughout the Dutch East Indies, but instead, it was practiced differently by people from different cultural communities. This article focuses on how the discourse of progress was negotiated by the Sundanese ethnic group.
