Monitoring of ambient air quality yields data typically presented as time series plots, tables of summarized statistical values, or other representations. This paper presents an alternative way to visualizing air quality monitoring data by presenting concentrations in the form of a calendar, offering a familiar way for reader to identify air quality trends on various time scales(daily, weekly, or monthly). One of the major air pollution problems in the northern part of Thailand is haze, which is related tothe concentration of airborne particulates less than 10 microns in size (PM10). Teak Log Coffins In Northwest Thailand: Dated By Dendrochronology And 14cwiggle Matching, Nathsuda Pumijumnong, Sineenart Wannasri

Log coffins have been discovered in caves and rockshelters in the Pang Ma Pha district, Mae Hong Son province, Northwestern Thailand. Most are made of teak wood. Many researchers have used the 14C method to determine their age. However, 14C cannot provide as precise a ca-lendar age as dendrochronology. In this paper, we therefore applied dendrochronology analysis to a number of teak log coffins at the Ban Rai Rockshelter to establish a floating chronology and to cross-date the coffins relative to each other. Then, wiggle matching was used for one log cof-fin to derive an approximate but absolute calendar age. …

Organizations working towards standardization have defined universal standards for Best Management Practices (BMPs) for renewable energy (RE) projects. However, these universal standards are better suitedto large-scale than small-scale projects such as community renewable energy (CRE) projects. Methods used by CRE projects to achieve BMP status remain to be determined. This paper aims to present various aspects of BMPs for small-scale CRE projects by emphasizing practices that are unrestricted, simple, andadaptable to the surrounding environment, and that will eventually lead to sustainability in the commu-nity. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Participatory Geographic Information System (PGIS) process as implemented through the Joint Management of Protected Areas (JoMPA) project. This article analyzes the process of local land use planning using PGIS through demarcation of special use zones. This was demonstrated to be a crucial process in the implemen-tation of conservation projects. Implementation of PGIS involves several operational steps, broughttogether in this study using the method of action research. A highly intense bloom of the nitrogen fixing Cyanobacteria Trichodesmium erythraeum(~7,000 filaments l-1) was observed during April 2013 (for a period of 5 days) in the Andaman Sea, at Lat.10°-13°N and Long. 93°-95°E.This is the first report of this bloom in the open waters of this region. Atmospheric temperature at the time ranged from 27 to 30.5 °C, sea surface temperature ranged from 29 to 34 °C, and salinity values ranged from 32.5 to 34 psu. However, there was no significant variation in pH (8.1-8.3), and DO concentrations ranged from 4.7 to 5.5 mg L-1during the studyperiod. Phosphate values ranged …

While the institutional infrastructure to coordinate climate change policy in Thailand alreadyexists, previous studies have identified an important gap in this infrastructure. An institutional arrangement/coordinating mechanism is needed to oversee coordination of resource allocation and utilization among government agenciesin order to achieve the national goal of a low carbon and resilient society. This paper reviews current policies and institutions related to climate changeand recommends a new Sub-committee on Climate Finance be established under the National Climate Change Committee (NCCC). KaengKhoi District (SaraburiProvince, Thailand) suffers from a surface water shortage due to increasing demand from domestic use and crop production, particularly in the drought season. Groundwater resources are an additional source of freshwater in this area, especially for agricul-tural purposes, but to be sustainable its usage should not exceed long-term groundwater recharge. The objective of this study is to explore the potential of producing energy from open-dump solidwaste from Rajamangala University of Technology Isan Surin Campus. Heating value as well as thephysical and chemical compositions were analyzed. The composition and heating value were comparedto refuse-derived fuel quality standard. All waste samples were separated into combustible and non-com-bustible matter. Paper, plastic, food residue, textiles, rubber and leather were classified as combustible. In excess of ninety-nine (99%) of open dump waste consisted of combustible matteras follows: mixed plastic (45%), textile (19%), food residue (18%), paper (14%), and leather and rubber (3%). การวิจัยและพัฒนา เป็นสิ่งสำคัญต่อการกำหนดนโยบายและทิศทางการพัฒนาของประเทศ ซึ่งจากจำนวนการวิจัย และพัฒนาของประเทศไทยทั้งในกลุ่มสาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์และสาขาสังคมศาสตร์ที่มีจำนวนเพิ่มมากขึ้นในแต่ละปีนั้นจึงได้มีการดำเนินการศึกษา เพื่อจัดทำดัชนีชี้วัดและจัดเก็บข้อมูลที่ครอบคลุมตัวชี้วัดสถานภาพการวิจัยและพัฒนาของประเทศไทย ทั้งในกลุ่มสาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์และสาขาสังคมศาสตร์ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาและกำหนดดัชนีชี้วัดสถานภาพการวิจัยและพัฒนาของประเทศ ทั้งในระดับภาพรวม ระดับสาขาวิชาการ และระดับอุตสาหกรรม และนำผลที่ได้มาพัฒนาในการจัดทำฐานข้อมูลการวิจัยและพัฒนาของประเทศ ตลอดจนจัดทำรายงานสถานภาพการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล และการจัดทำดัชนีการวิจัยและพัฒนาในทุกระดับที่เหมาะสมกับบริบทประเทศไทย ทั้งนี้ ผลการศึกษาจะสามารถนำมาใช้เป็นข้อมูลประกอบและสนับสนุนการตัดสินใจให้แก่หน่วยงานที่มีหน้าที่ในการกำหนดนโยบายและทิศทางการวิจัยและพัฒนาของประเทศไทยได้ต่อไป

With the advent of reform in Myanmar, Thailand hopes to be able to repatriate the large number of displaced persons from Myanmar. However, a survey shows that most Myanmar displaced persons do not yet have enough confidence about their security after repatriation. This article sets out the conditions and framework under which planning for repatriation should proceed. A human rights approach is needed to protect the rights of refugees. At present, the human rights mechanisms within ASEAN are not strong enough, and ASEAN is reluctant to intervene in controversial bilateral issues. The key players are thus the respective governments and …

พื้นที่อุทยานธรณีสามพันโบกและผาชัน ครอบคลุมแนวริมตลิ่งฝั่ง ตะวันตกของแม่น้ำโขงบริเวณรอยต่อของประเทศไทยกับสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตย ประชาชนลาว อำเภอโพธิ์ไทรจังหวัดอุบลราชธานี เป็นพื้นที่แหล่งท่องเที่ยว ที่ท้าท้ายสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวผู้ชอบธรรมชาติและการท่องเที่ยวสไตล์ผจญภัย เป็นที่น่าสนใจว่าสามพันโบกจะโผล่ให้เห็นกลางแม่น้ำเฉพาะฤดูน้ำลดในช่วง ฤดูหนาวถึงฤดูร้อน ประมาณเดือนพฤศจิกายนถึงพฤษภาคม เท่านั้น ทั้งนี้ แหล่งสามพันโบกและผาชันได้รับความเห็นชอบจากคณะอนุกรรมการอนุรักษ์ สิ่งแวดล้อมธรรมชาติและศิลปกรรม ภายใต้คณะกรรมการสิ่งแวดล้อมแห่งชาติ ในการประชุมเมื่อเดือนสิงหาคม 2554 และเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ 2555 ให้เป็นพื้นที่ เป้าหมายในการศึกษาข้อมูลธรณีวิทยารายละเอียด โดยกรมทรัพยากรธรณี ได้ตั้งเป้าหมายไว้เพื่อกำหนดให้เป็นแหล่งอนุรักษ์ทางธรรมชาติและธรณีวิทยา สำหรับจัดตั้งเป็นอุทยานธรณีในระดับประเทศก่อนที่จะนำเสนอเป็นสมาชิก เครือข่ายอุทยานธรณีโลกภายใต้การสนับสนุนจากองค์การยูเนสโกต่อไป ซึ่งหลังจากได้รับการรับรองจากสมาชิกเครือข่ายอุทยานธรณีโลกแล้ว ก็จะ นำมาซึ่งประสิทธิภาพในการอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรธรณี รายได้ในระบบเศรษฐกิจ และการพัฒนาชุมชนและประเทศอย่างยั่งยืนโดยรวม

คงไม่มีใครปฏิเสธได้ว่า ข้อมูล (Data) เป็นสิ่งที่สำคัญและจำเป็นอย่างยิ่งต่อารดำ เนินงานธุรกิจแทบทุกประเภท โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งกระแสของข้อมูลขนาดใหญ่ (Big Data) หรืออภิมหาข้อมูลซึ่งกำลังเป็นที่นิยมในขณะนี้ ทำให้ข้อมูลมีความสำคัญต่อธุรกิจมากขึ้น อันจะเป็นการเพิ่มศักยภาพการแข่งขันได้เป็นอย่างดี ซึ่งการบริหารจัดการ การวิเคราะห์เชิงลึกจึงมีบทบาทในการที่จะได้รับประโยชน์จากข้อมูลอย่างเต็มที่มากตามไปด้วย ในอดีตที่ผ่านมา การเกิดขึ้นของข้อมูล มักเกิดจากหน่วยงานย่อยๆ ที่ต่างคนต่างสร้างขึ้นและจัดเก็บเป็นเอกเทศ เพื่อใช้เฉพาะในงานของตนเอง ไม่ได้มีการออกแบบในภาพรวมเพื่อใช้ข้อมูลร่วมกัน โดยมักจะขาดการบริหารจัดการข้อมูลที่ดี (Good Data Governance) ส่งผลให้การจัดเก้บ และใช้ข้อมูลมีความซ้ำซ้อน (Data Redundancy) และมีข้อมูลที่อาจไม่ถูกต้องตรงกัน (Data Inconsistency) หรือที่เรียกว่า "Information Silo"

ด้วยความมุ่งมั่นในการให้บริการพลังงานไฟฟ้าอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ เพื่อคุณภาพชีวิต เศรษฐกิจและสังคมที่ยั่งยืน การไฟฟ้าส่วนภูมิภาค (กฟภ.) จึงมีนโยบายผลักดันให้อาคารของ กฟภ. เป็นอาคารที่อนุรักษ์พลังงานและ เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม เพื่อเป็นตัวอย่างที่ดีแก่สาธารณะทางด้านการใช้พลังงาน อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ โดยในปี 2554 กฟภ. ได้ว่าจ้าง Chula Unisearch ให้เป็น ที่ปรึกษาในการศึกษาแนวทางการปรับปรุงอาคาร 4 (LED) โซน A ที่สำนักงานใหญ่ การไฟฟ้าส่วนภูมิภาค ให้เป็นอาคารเขียวตามมาตราฐานของ Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Existing Building Operations and Maintenances (LEED EBOM) รวมถึงทำการวิเคราะห์ค่าใช้จ่ายและผลตอบแทนเบื้องต้นของการปรับปรุงอาคารให้เป็น อาคารเขียวตามมาตรฐาน LEED ในระดับ Gold และ Platinum โดยพิจารณาทั้งในส่วนของการ ออกแบบสถาปัตยกรรม วิศวกรรม และการตกแต่งภายในที่เพิ่มจากส่วนของการประหยัดพลังงานเพื่อ ให้เป็นอาคารเขียวในระดับสากล

ดนตรีเป็นศิลปะอย่างหนึ่งที่มนุษย์สร้างสรรค์ขึ้นตั้งแต่ยุคก่อนประวัติศาสตร์ โดยแต่ละสังคมจะมีวัฒนธรรมดนตรี ที่แตกต่างกันอันเป็นภาพสะท้อนวิถีชีวิตมนุษย์ของสังคมนั้นๆ มนุษย์แต่ละเผ่าพันธุ์สร้างงานดนตรีขึ้นตามจินตนาการที่ มีเอกลักษณ์ของตนเพื่อบรรยายอารมณ์ความรู้สึก และสะท้อนภาพวิถีชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ออกมาเป็นเสียงดนตรี โดยใช้ ความสั้นยาวของจังหวะ และการร้อยเรียงเสียงสูงต่ำ เพื่อแสดงให้เห็นภาพพจน์ตามจินตนาการของผู้ประพันธ์ แล้วจึง ถ่ายทอดบทเพลงต่อๆ กันไป วัตถุประสงค์ในการใช้ดนตรีของมนุษย์มีหลากหลาย เช่น นำมาใช้ในการประกอบพิธีกรรม ตามความเชื่อดั้งเดิม ใช้เป็นเครื่องผ่อนคลายให้ผู้คนในสังคม เป็นต้น นอกจากนี้ ดนตรียังมีผลต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงทาง ร่างกาย จิตใจ และการทำงานของสมองในหลายๆ ด้าน เช่น 1) ผลของดนตรีต่อร่างกาย สามารถทำให้เกิดการ เปลี่ยนแปลงของอัตราการหายใจ อัตราการเต้นของชีพจร ความดันโลหิต การตอบสนองของม่านตา ความตึงตัวของ กล้ามเนื้อ และการไหลเวียนเลือด 2) ผลของดนตรีต่อจิตใจและสมอง สามารถทำให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงของอารมณ์ สติสัมปชัญญะ จินตนาการ การรับรู้สภาพความเป็นจริง และการสื่อสารทางอวัจนะภาษา เป็นต้น ดนตรีบำบัด (Music Therapy) จึงกลายเป็นศาสตร์อีกแขนงหนึ่งที่เข้ามามีบทบาทในการช่วยบำบัดรักษาความผิดปกติทางร่างกาย ทางอารมณ์ และทางสังคม ซึ่งมีการศึกษาและได้รับความนิยมอย่างแพร่หลายในต่างประเทศ ทั้งในประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา ประเทศในแถบยุโรป รวมทั้งประเทศญี่ปุ่น สำหรับประเทศไทย งานด้านดนตรีบำบัดนับว่าอยู่ในขั้นเริ่มต้น เนื่องจากขาดการสนับสนุนจากผู้กำหนดนโยบาย คือ รัฐบาล โดยในสังคมเมืองใหญ่ ดังเช่น กรุงเทพมหานคร ด้วยมลภาวะที่เกิดขึ้นจากสิ่งแวดล้อม ตลอดจนภาระทาง ด้านการงานที่รัดตัว ทำ ให้เกิดภาวะความเครียดแก่ผู้คนในชุมชนเมือง ทั้งนี้ จากข้อมูลพบว่า ในสถานพยาบาลของรัฐ มีจำนวนผู้ป่วยเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างมาก โดยส่วนหนึ่งเป็นผลมาจากมลภาวะที่ส่งผลต่อสุขภาพกาย และความตึงเครียดที่ส่งผล ต่อสุขภาพจิต ด้วยเหตุนี้งานวิจัยด้านดนตรีบำบัดจึงมีความจำเป็นที่สมควรได้รับการพัฒนาขึ้นเป็นโครงการนำร่องใน ประเทศไทย ในการที่จะนำกิจกรรมดนตรีไปใช้เพื่อการบำบัด และเป็นทางเลือกในการบำบัดจิตใจผู้ป่วยขณะรักษาตัวอยู่ ในโรงพยาบาล

บทเรียนอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ หรือ E-learning เป็นการ ผสมผสานระหว่างเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและการศึกษา สื่อการเรียนรู้ต่างๆ อาทิ สไลด์ และวิดีโอ จะถูกผลิต ให้อยู่ในรูปแบบดิจิตัลและนำส่งให้ผู้เรียนผ่านทาง อินเทอร์เน็ต ผู้เรียนจึงสามารถเข้าถึงระบบ E-Learning ได้จากทุกสถานที่และทุกเวลา ถึงแม้ว่า E-Learning จะมีจุดเริ่มต้นมาจากสถาบันการศึกษาเพื่อเสริม การเรียนแบบปกติในห้องเรียน แต่ความสำเร็จที่แท้จริง ในการประยุกต์ใช้ E-Learning นั้นไม่ได้จำกัดอยู่แค่ใน แวดวงการศึกษาเท่านั้นดังจะเห็นได้ว่า ในศตวรรษที่ 20 องค์กรขนาดใหญ่ประสบกับปัญหาที่ต้องอบรม บุคลากรจำนวนมาก การอบรมแบบปกติที่มีลักษณะ คล้ายกับห้องเรียนใช้เวลามากและไม่คุ้มค่า เมื่อเทียบกับ งบประมาณที่ต้องใช้ ในทางตรงกันข้าม E-Learning ได้ถูกนำมาใช้โดยการผนวกเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ เข้ากับกระบวนการฝึกอบรมและการวัดผล โดยสื่อการ เรียนรู้จะถูกผลิตในรูปแบบอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ จากนั้น จึงติดตั้งสื่ออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (Courseware) ลงบนเว็บไซต์ด้วยซอฟต์แวร์ที่เรียกว่า ระบบจัดการเรียนรู้ (Learning Management System) หรือ LMS และ เปิดให้ผู้อบรมลงทะเบียนใช้คอร์สแวร์ (Courseware) ผ่านทางคอมพิวเตอร์หรืออุปกรณ์เคลื่อนที่ E-Learning หมายรวมถึง การวัดผลการเรียนรู้ และการสอบเพื่อวัดขีดสมรรถนะด้วย โดยในกรณีนี้ ต้องใช้คลังข้อสอบอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (E-Item Bank) เพื่อจัดเก็บข้อทดสอบที่มีจำนวนมากอย่างเป็นระบบ ชุดทดสอบซึ่งประกอบด้วยข้อทดสอบจำนวนหนึ่ง (เช่น 1 ชุดทดสอบ ประกอบด้วย 100 ข้อทดสอบ) จะถูกสุ่ม จากคลังข้อสอบตามเงื่อนไขที่กำหนด เช่น ขอบเขต และ ความยาก เป็นต้น ภายหลังการสอบ ค่าสถิติต่างๆ เช่น ดรรชนีความยาก และดรรชนีอำนาจจำแนก จะถูกคำนวนผ่านโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์ทุกขั้นตอน ยกเว้นการทำข้อสอบ ที่ส่วนใหญ่ยังนิยมใช้กระดาษ คำถามและกระดาษคำตอบ แต่การทำข้อสอบบน คอมพิวเตอร์ก็กำลังเป็นที่นิยมมากขึ้น และจะเข้ามา แทนที่การสอบด้วยกระดาษในอนาคต
