Evaluation Of Greenhouse Gas Emissions From Municipal Solid Waste (Msw) Management: Case Study Of Lampang Municipality, Thailand, Pantitcha Outapa, Veerapas Na Roi-Et
Evaluation Of Greenhouse Gas Emissions From Municipal Solid Waste (Msw) Management: Case Study Of Lampang Municipality, Thailand, Pantitcha Outapa, Veerapas Na Roi-Et
Applied Environmental Research
The issue of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from municipal solid waste (MSW) is important in the context of climate change. Reduction of GHGs from waste disposal systems is one of the management strategies forming part of Thailand's National Economic and Social Development Plan. This project evaluated emissions from a municipal solid waste system covering transportation and disposal in Lampang Municipality, northern Thailand. GHG emissions from transportation were estimated by the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) based on the travel distance of the vehicles, using a vehicle emission model and vehicle fuel consumption. GHG emissions during the disposal process were …
Comparison Of Co2 Emissions From Vehicles In Thailand, Sutthicha Nilrit, Pantawat Sampanpanish, Surat Bualert
Comparison Of Co2 Emissions From Vehicles In Thailand, Sutthicha Nilrit, Pantawat Sampanpanish, Surat Bualert
Applied Environmental Research
Emission of carbon dioxide (CO2), a greenhouse gas, from typical passenger vehicles in Thailand was investigated using a chassis dynamometer in the Automotive Emission Laboratory. The vehicle running method was controlled under the standard Bangkok driving cycle. CO2 emissions were measured at three different speeds for the following four vehicle types commonly used in Thailand: heavy duty diesel (HDD), light duty diesel (LDD), and light duty gasoline (LDG) vehicles and motorcycles (MC). HDD vehicles had the highest average CO2 emission rate, followed by LDD, LDG and MC at 1,198.8±93.1, 268.4±21.3, 166.1±27.7 and 42.5±6.1 g km-1, respectively; all values were significantly …

Carbon Footprint For Organization; Huachiew Chalermprakiet University, Isaree Rodtusana
Applied Environmental Research
This study was conducted to assess carbon footprint of the Huachiew Chalermprakiet University in academic year 2010. The study was three scopes contributed in emitting greenhouse gases (GHGs) in term of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e). The first scope was direct emissions which were electricity generation from auxiliary equipment, fuel combustion of the vehicles, fugitive emission, chemical fertilizer utilization, and wastewater treatment. The second scope was indirect GHGs emission from electricity consumption and the third scope was other indirect GHGs emissions. The study revealed that the Huachiew Chalermprakiet University had emitted CO2e by 4,640 ton a-1. The highest emission scope was …
