Myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN) is a hematologic disorder that consists of polycythemia vera (PV), essential thrombocythemia (ET and primary myelofibrosis (PMF) and complication of thrombosis is frequently found in patients with MPN. Wegener’s granulomatosis is a vasculitis that affects small to medium blood vessels, generally occurring at the age of 64- 75 years with an incidence of 8-10 / 1,000,000 people. Meningoencephalitis manifestations are rarely found in Wegener’s granulomatosis with the incidence only in the range of 0-7%. Anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA) is often used in diagnosing Wegener’s granulomatosis, but negative ANCA can be found in 10-20% of cases. In Indonesia, more than half of pregnant women seek antenatal care (ANC) at private midwifery clinics. The midwives play an important role in advocating for voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) uptake among pregnant women during ANC. This study examined midwives’ perception of barriers and enabling factors with regards to refer pregnant women for HIV testing. The study was conducted in Denpasar City and Badung District, two localities in Bali with high HIV prevalence. The most common pesticides used in rice farming are organophosphates and carbamates. These pesticides inhibit acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity, resulting in excessive levels of acetylcholine accumulation and disrupted neurotransmission. This study compared AChE activity and hematological parameters between pesticide-using rice farmers, non-pesticide using rice farmers, and non-agricultural occupational groups (non-farmers). Pesticide residues that accumulated in rice and the water and soil of the study area were also determined. AChE activity of all participants showed 10 from 87 samples (11.49%) as borderline depressed, with 50% of these being pesticide-using farmers. Background: Most investigators use ordinary least squares (OLS) methods to model low birth weight. When the data are non-normal or contain outliers, OLS become ineffective. However, the quantile method of forecasting low birth weight has not been fully evaluated, although it has good potential for overcoming problems associated with linear regression. Background: A cross-sectional predictive study was carried out to examine the influence of child feeding practices on stunting status of children between 6–24 months in Yangon Children Hospital, Myanmar. Background: Coral is an osteo-conductive biomaterial that can act as an alternative scaffold for osteogenesis. In this in vitro study we analyzed the activity of osteoblast-like cells after treatment with the coral Goniopora. Methods: Human osteoblast-like MG-63 cells were incubated in α-minimal essential medium supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum and 300 ng/mL amphotericin B plus 1% penicillin-streptomycin and stored in a 5% CO2 incubator at 37°C. It was recently reported that it induces apoptotic activity in the human oral squamous carcinoma (HSC-3) cell line. This study aimed to investigate the effect of M. pendans treated samples on the expression of apoptotic markers, Bax and Bcl-2. Methods: M. pendans was purchased from West Papua, Indonesia. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of toothache on children’s educational and social activities. Health and functional status are standard measurements in older adult’s services that showed physical and mental condition. However, institutionalized older adults with several adjustments and their limited source might cause compromised health and functional status. The quasi-experimental study aimed to investigate the effect of MiRaDaSia (nurses and caregivers joined the partnership model) on health and functional status among institutionalized older adults in Jakarta. It included 106 participants as intervention groups and 106 participants as control groups, who selected by multistage random sampling. Kepala keluarga bertanggungjawab secara ekonomi memenuhi kebutuhan hidup anggota keluarga yang meliputi kebutuhan sandang, pangan dan papan. Seorang kepala keluarga yang mengalami gangguan jiwa selepas dari pemasungan perlu menyesuaikan diri terhadap fungsi sosial yang meliputi kemampuan untuk bekerja dan terlibat dalam hubungan sosial. Tujuan penelitian adalah ini untuk mendeskripsikan pengalaman kepala keluarga paska pasung dalam memenuhi kebutuhan ekonomi keluarga. Depression and HIV-related stigma, among other factors, have been inversely linked independently with adherence to antiretroviral therapy (ART) among the youth. However, the processes through which the various factors influence this relationship is not fully known. Guided by Social Action Theory, we examined the interactive mechanisms through which depression, HIV-related stigma, and self-efficacy influenced ART adherence and whether or not these relationships are moderated by gender. A total of 450 HIV-positive youth (13–24 years) in Malawi receiving ART participated in this cross-sectional study. Diabetes selfcare (DSC) is an integrated part in diabetes management. The aim of this study was to analyze the correlation between DSC with PEDIS (perfusion, extend, depth, infection, sensation) score and glycemic control in diabetes patients. This study applied a cross sectional design, involving 106 patients, the inclusions are patient diabetes type 1 and 2 with or without diabetic foot ulcers who are < 65 years old, can read, write and use Bahasa. This research was conducted in the Community Health Center of West Denpasar II Bali. The statistic analyze used are Mann Whitney, and Chi square Statistics showed a significant association between DSC and PEDIS score (p= 0.0005) a strong correlation (r= -0.74) and glycemic control (p= 0.0005) a moderate correlation (0.451). DSC can be used predict the condition of diabetic foot ulcers through the PEDIS score and predict glycemic control in diabetes. In Orem’s self-care theory, self-care is a health resource in individual. The strategy of diabetes self-care requires awareness and responsibility in managing diabetes for controlling blood sugar and adequate foot care.
