Impact Of Student Motivation In Online Learning Activities, Amy Lathrop
Department of Agronomy and Horticulture: Dissertations, Theses, and Student Research
With the prevalence of online learning in education for both distance and campus-based students, it is critical to determine how to design electronic learning materials that tailor to student motivation and facilitate learning. Students were asked to complete an online plant breeding activity, motivation survey and an online learning quiz related to the activity. The control group of students was those who elected not to complete the activity, while the experimental group of students chose to complete the activity. Motivation scores were compared between control and experiment groups, courses, and gender using independent sample t-tests. Pearson correlations were also used …

Two primary types of milling processes currently exist, resulting in quite different feed products. These processing plants produce and market a variety of feed products, but in general, the dry milling process produces distillers grains plus solubles (DGS), and the wet milling process produces corn gluten feed (CGF). A Comprehensive Index For Assessing Environmental Stress In Animals, Terry L. Mader, Leslie J. Johnson, John B. Gaghan Dr
Nebraska Cooperative Extension: Faculty and Staff Publications
Numerous models and indices exist that attempt to characterize the effect of environmental factors on the comfort of animals and humans. Heat and cold indices have been utilized to adjust ambient temperature (Ta) for the effects of relative humidity (RH) or wind speed (WS) or both for the purposes of obtaining a “feels-like” or apparent temperature. However, no model has been found that incorporates adjustments for RH, WS, and radiation (RAD) over conditions that encompass hot and cold environmental conditions. The objective of this study was to develop a comprehensive climate index (CCI) that has application under a wide range …
