Based on the construction data of continuous belt conveyors in shield construction,this paper evaluates two common calculation methods of slag weight (slag weight calculation based on loosening coefficient and slag weight calculation based on external additives ) to accurately manage slag in shield construction.According to the law of slag discharged from each ring in shield construction,an improved slag weight estimation method in shield construction was proposed.The results show that there is a big error in the slag weight calculation based on the loosening coefficient.When slag weight calculation based on external additives is used,the calculated value is always smaller than the …

The criteria for liquefaction judgment of fi ne-grained soil in current seismic design codes of China,the United States,and Bangladesh are quite different.In order to propose the judgment criteria for engineering application and Chinese code revision,this paper compared the judgment processes and criteria of the three countries.After analyzing the formation process,based on the application of the criteria for liquefaction judgment of 168 fine-grained soil samples collected in Dhaka,Bangladesh and surrounding cities,the rationality of each judgment process and criteria was evaluated comprehensively.Finally,a set of judgment processes and result criteria for fine-grained soil liquefaction integrating all criteria were put forward.

The TiO2 film is immersed in a graphite oxide solution, preparing it for thermal reduction, which converts the graphite oxide to reduced graphene oxide (rGO). This process produces rGO hybrid TiO2 photoanodes for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC). rGO in the TiO2 structure prevents electron recombination and improves overall efficiency. Energy is a fundamental factor for civilization development and sustainability. However, energy sources are dominated by non-renewable fractions, such as fossil fuels. Renewable biomass is projected to be a future fuel source. Spirulina platensis (SP) has numerous advantages compared to other biomass, and it is considered 3rd generation biomass that does not interfere with food and land usage and has a relatively low main decomposition temperature at 325.7℃. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) was conducted to observe SP kinetics parameters, especially activation energy. Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs) production so far has its own advantages and disadvantages. Some methods that can be used in producing CNTs are chemical vapor deposition (CVD), laser ablation, and arc discharge. The three methods have their own requirements, this causes different environmental impacts on each method. Studies into the environmental impact of the CNTs production process found that during thermal pretreatment of the reactant gas, more than 45 by-products were formed, including methane, volatile organic compounds, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. This study investigates the low completion rates of the British Army commando training course in 2018-2019, recorded at 20%, following concerns raised by course Directing Staff. It examines the relationship between resilience and performance in military contexts and evaluates whether resilience-building interventions can improve completion rates. To establish how completion rates could be improved, sixty-two candidates from three commando training cohorts were recruited and assigned to either a Functional Imagery Training (FIT) intervention or a control group.
