Abstract: Aiming at the stable and high-precision tracking control of omnidirectional mobile vehicles affected by their own characteristics and external disturbances, an adaptive tracking control approach for omnidirectional vehicles based on characteristic modeling is designed. The characteristic model is established by integrating the model properties into the characteristic parameters, and the characteristic parameters are estimated online by using the projected gradient method. Aiming at the premature convergence of particles to local optimum in standard QPSO, the methods for computing the adaptive contraction-expansion coefficient and mean best position using fitness values of associated particles are proposed to improve the global search ability of QPSO. Abstract: The structure of multi-articulated vehicle body limits the flexibility of the vehicle and causes the deviation of the rear vehicle. The research study investigates if pilots find aviation health-related materials provided from training or aviation associations to support their own health needs. A mixed methods convergent parallel design was conducted by sampling 27 pilots within general aviation to assess their utilization of aviation health-related materials, health management skills including self-efficacy and prioritization, as well as their views of implementing particular health topics into aviation training. The paper explores the use of biomimicry to enhance façade design and improve daylighting performance in office buildings in Cairo, Egypt. By emulating natural processes, adaptive facades were developed to increase energy efficiency and occupant comfort. Initial studies examined biomimicry principles and international case studies of adaptive facades. Simulations of a façade inspired by the Gazania flower's nyctinasty movement showed significant improvements: the area achieving optimal illuminance (300-3000 lux) increased from 24.2% to 37.4%, and Spatial Daylight Autonomy (SDA) has decreased from 82% to 68%. This study aims to investigate the mutual interaction between rigid Pile Inclusions (PI) and the surrounding soft formations, such as soft to medium stiff silty Clay. The studied area is located at New Mansoura City, Nile Delta, Egypt, where the soil formation consists of a surface silty Sand layer with a depth of 4m, followed by 15m-thick Soft Clay formation. This study investigates the influence of concrete jacketing on the performance of steel columns subjected to blast loading, which can lead to progressive collapse. Using Finite Element Method (FEM) simulations, the research evaluates concrete-encased steel columns with different concrete cover thicknesses to measure their resistance to lateral displacements induced by blasts. Findings reveal that increasing the thickness of the concrete cover markedly improves the column's ability to withstand such loads. In this work, the physical and mechanical properties of a fabricated wood-plastic composite (WPC) in accordance with the internationally recognized standard are investigated. The wood-plastic composite is made from recycled low-density polyethylene and mechanically processed rice straw fibers by using a specially designed extrusion machine. From the physical test, it was found that the newly developed WPC has low water absorption and thickness swelling compared to the standard limits.
