An indoor localization system based on received signal strength, visible light communication (VLC) and several machine learning approaches is proposed in this paper. Our proposed framework is divided into two strategies. The first one is consisting of gathering our dataset based on MATLAB software to create indoor VLC channel model. This research investigates the multifaceted challenges and opportunities for implementing sustainable infrastructure in Egypt from the perspectives of key stakeholders—contractors, consultants, and owners. It uses structured questionnaires to draw on a comprehensive literature review and a field study. These questionnaires were distributed to experts across three vital sectors: roads and bridges, water and sewage networks, and ports and shore protection. A total of 95 participants completed the survey, surpassing the statistically required sample size of 61, calculated using Kish's 1965 formula, thereby enhancing the robustness of the findings. This paper presents a value-based Heritage Building Information Modeling (HBIM) framework for assessing the adaptive reuse of heritage buildings. The framework integrates key heritage values criteria -authenticity, integrity, significance, and adaptability- into HBIM, allowing for structured decision-making that balances heritage preservation with contemporary operation. Conventionally, steel gates are widely used in hydraulic structures for their superior mechanical properties in sustaining hydrostatic pressure. This study explores the impact of using a diesel, biodiesel, and toluene additive fuel blend in a multi-cylinder direct injection diesel engine, focusing on both performance and emissions characteristics. Biodiesel, made from renewable sources like vegetable oils, is often added to diesel to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and improve combustion due to its higher oxygen content. In this work, a 45% biodiesel blend (B45) led to significant reductions in particulate matter (PM) emissions by up to 40% compared to conventional diesel. In this study, we conducted comprehensive experiments to assess and compare the performance of pure diesel fuel against biodiesel produced from corn oil in various blend ratios (15/85, 30/70, 45/55, and 60/40) in a conventional four-stroke, direct-injection diesel engine, fuel is injected directly into the combustion chamber at the end of the compression stroke, allowing for efficient combustion and power generation over four distinct phases: intake, compression, power, and exhaust. The current study explores the potential of utilizing Waste glass powder (WGP) as an alternative to cement in the development of sustainable eco-friendly Ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC). UHPC mixtures underwent optimization through the application of a Modified Andreasen and Andersen (MAA) particle packing model, resulting in a reduction of cement content from 900 to 800 kg/m3. Six mixes were cast, with varying levels of cement replacement ratios with WGP up to 50%. As Egypt's urban areas expand rapidly, the demand for energy-efficient, affordable housing in extreme hot desert climates has become increasingly urgent. This study investigates the energy efficiency and thermal performance of Egypt’s Social Housing Project, with a focus on residential building in New Aswan City, where summer temperatures frequently exceed 45°C. Employing a validated energy model, this research simulates annual energy consumption for the building, which comprises 24 residential units, each approximately 86 m². This study assessed the potential of cactus pads and watermelon seeds as natural coagulants in industrial wastewater treatment. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems face challenges in channel estimation due to noise, variability, and the doubly dispersive nature of wireless channels, which degrade performance. To address these challenges, a multichannel minimum variance double dispersive channel estimator is proposed. The method employs a hybrid approach that combines subspace and minimum variance techniques, optimizing the filter bank output power under a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) constraint. This design preserves the desired signal while effectively suppressing disturbances, achieving robust performance with reduced computational complexity compared to existing methods.
