Employment Of Intelligent Predictive Maintenance On Thermal Power Plant Component Parts Taking Condenser Vacuum As A Case Study, Titus Ajewole
Employment Of Intelligent Predictive Maintenance On Thermal Power Plant Component Parts Taking Condenser Vacuum As A Case Study, Titus Ajewole
Tanzania Journal of Engineering and Technology (TJET)
This work proposes deployment of machine learning in the maintenance of individual constituent parts of steam power plant assemblages. With the condenser vacuum of a steam turbine (in a six-turbine plant assemblage) taken as a case study, information on the past operating parameters of the selected plant component was used to forecast its future working condition. Based on Exponential Gaussian Process of Regression, a model was developed, trained using the diachronic operational data, and employed in determining the future. A quantitative evaluation was employed to provide the distribution of the test values of the data about the lines of regression, …

Joint Location And Cost Planning In Maximum Capture Facility Location Under Random Utilities, Ngan H. Duong, Tien Thanh Dam, Thuy Anh Ta, Tien Mai
Research Collection School Of Computing and Information Systems
We study a joint facility location and cost planning problem in a competitive market under random utility maximization (RUM) models. The objective is to locate new facilities and make decisions on the costs (or budgets) to spend on the new facilities, aiming to maximize an expected captured customer demand, assuming that customers choose a facility among all available facilities according to a RUM model. We examine two RUM frameworks in the discrete choice literature, namely, the additive and multiplicative RUM. While the former has been widely used in facility location problems, we are the first to explore the latter in …

Robust Maximum Capture Facility Location Under Random Utility Maximization Models, Tien Thanh Dam, Thuy Anh Ta, Tien Mai
Research Collection School Of Computing and Information Systems
We study a robust version of the maximum capture facility location problem in a competitive market, assuming that each customer chooses among all available facilities according to a random utility maximization (RUM) model. We employ the generalized extreme value (GEV) family of models and assume that the parameters of the RUM model are not given exactly but lie in convex uncertainty sets. The problem is to locate new facilities to maximize the worst-case captured user demand. We show that, interestingly, our robust model preserves the monotonicity and submodularity from its deterministic counterpart, implying that a simple greedy heuristic can guarantee …

Dependence Of The Granulometric Composition Of Chalk During Granulation In A Turbulized Layer, N.A. Annaev, S.Kh. Nurmukhamedov, Zh.V. Sultonov, N.Sh. Khudoiberdieva
Chemical Technology, Control and Management
The article presents the results of an experimental study on chalk granulation in the turbulized layer of a turboblade granulator. The design of the apparatus combines the following sequential processes: grinding, granulating and compacting newly formed granules. In addition, this device has the ability to carry out both rotational and reciprocating motion. It has been established that preliminary grinding of the feedstock increases the efficiency of the granulation process and improves the quality of the finished product. In the experiments, four substances were used to create 2 astringent suspensions and the optimal combination and their ratios were determined. The experiments …

The issue of synthesis of an adaptive control system for multi-channel and multi-mode objects is considered. Development that of effective adaptive control algorithms for nonlinear dynamic systems ensure quality indicators of processes. In technological processes, it is necessary to control several parameters or several systems at the same time. For such a process control system, an adaptive control system is created. Work has been carried out on structural projects for the installation of adaptive systems. The stable requirements for the correction of adaptive control systems are seen. A review of several parametric deviation detections, based on the reference model and …

Metric Algorithms Of Symbol Detection For Determining A Group Of Significant Objects, Sherzod Ismoiljonovich Yuldashev
Chemical Technology, Control and Management
This article examines the algorithm of nearest neighbors, which widely uses metric classification algorithms and the combinatorial theory of reconnection with the precedent information in solving practical recognition problems. One of the most important issues in the development of image recognition systems is that the image recognition system determines the characteristics of objects. Most pattern recognition methods are used in the process of recognizing not all objects of the training sample, but a certain part of the objects. The formation of a training sample by filtering objects according to the level of importance for metric classification algorithms is carried out …

Multichannel Low-Cost Sensor For Iaq Monitoring: Implementation And Guidelines, Isaac Ntiamoah
LSU Master's Theses
Indoor air quality (IAQ) is adversely affected by both indoor and outdoor environments, and rental homes occupied by low-income families suffer the most. Poor indoor air can be detrimental to the health of occupants, especially for susceptible populations like those with respiratory diseases such as asthma. Although IAQ monitoring is necessary, it is a challenging, costly, and time-intensive task. Moreover, the protocol for assessing IAQ in residential settings varies, and additional research is needed to establish a standard operating procedure that incorporates new monitoring technologies, such as low-cost air sensors. However, there is a dearth of comprehensive, evidence-based protocols for …

This study provides a terrain surface texture generation network (TSTG-Net) that can synthesize realistic terrain based on user input semantics. TSTG-Net is designed as a Pix2pix structure and is based on CGAN. It learns the topology of customized terrain by encoding and parsing user semantics and regards the semantics feature as the constraint of CGAN. In the generator-discriminator structure, user-customized semantics are used as the input, and the real terrain with semantics is employed as the ground truth in network optimization. …
