In Western society, sport economic impact studies are often utilized to showcase the financial benefits for hosting mega sport event or to justify the spending for entering bids or covering infrastructure construction costs. This study projected economic impact of the 2017 Summer Universiade by examining the Taiwanese (the hosting country) residents’ willingness to attendance and estimated individual spending (consumption) while attending the games. Through a series of convenience sampling surveys from February to April, 2017, 1,021 respondents (53.5% males and 45.3% females) reported their potential personal spending, willingness to attend the events, and preferred ticket price range. The purpose of this multiple case study was to examine the teaching beliefs of eight preservice physical education teachers. The following research questions guided this study. (1) In what ways do field experiences contribute to shape preservice physical education teachers constructs of teaching? (2) What theories of teaching emerge from field-experiences? A student’s abilities in literacy can be indicative of his/her ability to live successfully in our society (Rinaldi, Sells, & McLaughlin, 1997). The ability to read is an area of difficulty, particularly for many students with autism spectrum disorders. Two fundamental cognitive processes required for skilled reading are word recognition and reading comprehension (Spector, 2010). Building beginning teachers' resilience may contribute to increasing teacher retention in the early years, in turn improving student academic achievement. School librarians contribute to developing teaching skills by mentoring new teachers. This qualitative study of first to third year teachers and school librarians investigated the contributions that school librarians made in building resilience of beginning teachers through a focus group of new teachers and interviews of school librarians. This study assesses the information literacy skills of a sample of undergraduate teacher education students, as measured by the iSkills assessment, and aims to determine student demographic and academic characteristics that may predict success on this assessment. The study repeats the methodology of a study of first-year students at the same institution two years before in order to provide insight into the information literacy proficiency of future teachers. Using hierarchical multiple regression analysis, transfer credits were found to be a statistically significant predictor of higher iSkills performance. This study examined the incorporation of specific content framed with a diversity and equity lens into two existing early childhood courses. The purpose was to investigate how embedding the diversity and equity content impacted student perceptions and supported their cultural competence. Pre- and post-survey results (N = 50) show student awareness of biases and beliefs were positively influenced. Implications are examined related to course content and activities that could enhance students’ competencies and understanding to work with colleagues, children and families in diverse, inclusive settings.

This study explored teacher collaboration in a school in North Carolina. Through data collection and analysis of teacher focus groups and interviews using a semi-structured interview protocol, the perception of teacher collaboration on student learning outcomes was investigated. The study included 22 participants. Common themes were identified and explored. Participant’s statements were provided. The findings of this qualitative study align with relevant research in that school leadership cultivates effective teacher collaboration.

The purpose of this study was to describe students’ concept mastery on Archimedes’ principle. The method of this study was descriptive method. The instrument of concept mastery test of this study was consisted of 4 essay questions with reliability Cronbach’s alpha 0.67. This study was the study case in one of class in SMAN 8 Muaro Jambi. This study aimed to describe the ability of multilateral FD students to solve the problem of Pythagoras and its scaffolding. The data collection begins with GEFT and test 1. The subject's examination process is analyzed based on the SOLO taxonomy to see its level of ability. The results showed that the ability of multistructural level FD subjects could use some of the information provided for problem solving, but the answer given was not accurate. Scaffolding efforts to increase the level of FD students' ability from multistructural level to relational level consist of reviewing, restructuring, and developing contextual thinking.

Creative thinking skills can develop well through Project Based Learning (PjBL). The purpose of this study was export student’s creative thinking skills in PjBL on static fluid materials. The subjects were 32 students of XMIPA D2 SMAN 9 Malang. The research method used was Mixed Methods Embedded Experimental Model. The results: (1) there were differences student’s creative thinking skill before and after PjBL on static fluid material significantly; (2) students’s creative thinking skill have a positive change when posttest with increasing percentage of achievement of indicator of creative thinking skill consist of elaboration, originality, fluency, and flexibility.

Teaching materials are the most integral in the learning process. BSE Christian Religion Education (Pendidikan Agama Kristen - PAK) is a teaching material that can be used to achieve the standard of competence set by the government. However, it does not work effectively because of the reality in the PAK learning process in state schools or non-Christian based schools, students are not getting the proper learning.
