Empowered teachers believe they can improve their work conditions and positively impact student outcomes. Likewise, teachers with technology integration knowledge can effectively use technology to enhance lessons and improve student learning. This quantitative correlational study investigated teachers’ empowerment, teachers’ technology integration knowledge, and associations between empowerment and technology integration knowledge. Two hundred fourteen randomly selected high school science teachers from across the United States responded to a survey intended to measure empowerment and technology integration knowledge. The purpose of this meta-analysis was to investigate the effectiveness of the use of games as part of mathematics instruction on academic achievement in grades Kindergarten to 12 in the United States. There were 17 studies selected for investigation published from 2010 to 2023 that focused on game-based learning and mathematics. This meta-analysis fills the gap in the knowledge by examining classes that are using game based learning across three platforms of instruction: nondigital games, digital on computers, and mobile devices. This study constructs an analytical framework for ICC within the context of online learning, drawing from existing research on ICC and classroom environment theory. This article presents a teaching approach known as Ignorance-Oriented Instruction (IOI), which views ignorance as both the driving force and the goal of learning. IOI aims to prepare students for an uncertain future by cultivating their ability to learn by delving into their ignorance and making predictions for the unknown. Key principles underlying the practice of IOI, a course designed based on IOI, and A COPE TRAP model for formulating questions are proposed.
