The study explored the variation in personalized learning within and between Long Island districts. Timely insight into the relationships between technology resources and personalized learning can inform critical fiscal investments throughout the COVID-19 global pandemic and beyond. An electronic survey based on a 2017 RAND Corporation study was sent to teachers in five districts to measure their use of indicators of personalized learning. The purpose of this study was to gain an understanding of the impact of the Mindful Schools curriculum on students’ academic performance, stress management, and academic and social self-perception. Comparisons of fall-spring academic growth measures and other data gathered over 2 years—before and after implementation of the curriculum—revealed academic, stress management, and self-perception impacts of the intervention. Student test scores from the reading (n = 322) and mathematics (n = 321) sections of the Northwest Evaluation Association were evaluated and found that the Mindfulness-Based Intervention led to significant growth from pre-intervention and post-intervention years. This study evaluated the impact of a change to the math placement policy at a suburban New York Community College on entering students’ math grades. Before the policy change, the community college required new students to take the College Board ACCUPLACER exam and used those scores to place students into math courses. Under the new policy, students were no longer required to take a placement test, and students' New York State Algebra 1 Regents exam scores were used to determine the appropriate math course placement. Structured by the theoretical framework of intersectionality, this comparative case study traced perceptions of Whiteness in literacy instruction by three queer, transgender or gender expansive (TGE), or cisgender female, Black and/or Latinx middle school students. The study addresses significant gaps in research, which has rarely explored the valence of all aspects of the intersectional identities of this population of middle school literacy learners and tends to perpetuate erasure by adopting single- or multiple-axis lenses to students’ identities. Many scientific studies reveal the existence of a gender performance gap in chemistry: women mostly underperform men. The purpose of this study was to examine college students’ experiences of racial microaggressions at a Hispanic serving institution. The participants were undergraduate and graduate students from a large higher education research institution in South Texas. The study had a qualitative approach with a two-step process of Phase 1 and Phase 2.
