Due to a shifting global environment and unique personal circumstances, traditional in-person learning experiences that foster cross-cultural interactions and learning, including study abroad programs, have become unavailable to many. In light of this issue, we investigated how a virtual cross-cultural course, such as Global Social Justice in Education (GSJE), could allow undergraduate and graduate students to explore their cultural identities and enhance their intercultural sensitivity. The Australian General Practice Training National Registrar Survey (AGPT NRS) is an annual, national survey of GP registrars currently training in the AGPT program. It collects information via an online questionnaire about registrar satisfaction, experience and future career plans. It also collects information about registrars’ demographics and training contexts and other aspects of their training experience. This survey is part of the Department of Health and Aged Care’s (the Department) monitoring and quality improvement activities. The paper sets out several approaches, both statistical and non-statistical, by which jurisdictions may choose to link their assessments to the global standards for reporting. One of these, the Pairwise Comparison Method (PCM), was first set out in Lazendic (2019). This concept note provides further details on the PCM and the work that has taken place since 2019 to enable the approach to be operationalised. This dissertation describes a practitioner’s design-based development of a prototype chatbot to guide students in learning biological concepts of genetic mutations and protein synthesis. This chatbot’s architecture provides learning activities, feedback, and support throughout a series of short, connected lessons. The chatbot is designed to scaffold learners through a predict, observe, explain model of inquiry learning. It utilizes real-world phenomena to lead students through biology core ideas, science and engineering practices, and crosscutting concepts. The purpose of this quantitative causal-comparative research study was to compare the impact that half-day and full-day prekindergarten had on economically disadvantaged students on Grade 3 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) Reading test results. Data from students who previously attended a half-day and full-day prekindergarten program were analyzed to see which program had a greater impact on STAAR reading scores at the conclusion of third grade. The comparison included two urban school districts with an economically disadvantaged threshold of 70% or greater. This autoethnographic case study was designed to investigate the relational aspect of trust, a characteristic of servant leadership, in the teacher-principal relationship. This trusting bond is an often overlooked, foundational element of a school’s success. I examined the role that trust plays in enhancing a school’s culture and how trust is established and maintained among one principal and teachers under my supervision. This study aimed to determine the ability to solve chemical problems at the symbolic level of chemistry education students and to determine student responses to the Three Tier test question model. The method used descriptive. The sample this study were chemistry education students at Halu Oleo University with totalling 73 students. Data collection in this study was carried out using research instruments in the form of Three Tier Test questions and student response questionnaires to the question model. The analysis results show that 16.3% of students understand the concept, 60.3% have misconceptions, and 23.4% do not understand the concept.

This study aims to explore lecturers’ perceptions and practices of humor usage in EFL classrooms. This qualitative study used questionnaires and interview protocols to get data from two senior English lecturers who use humor in their classrooms at an English department of a public university in Indonesia. The result reveals that humor, particularly jokes and spontaneous humor are practical and beneficial for learning English in higher education. However, in delivering humor, the lecturers should consider the setting (time and place), college students’ vocabulary level, age, and sex; humor should not offend them culturally and be understandable.

The increasing prevalence of the overuse of social media among adolescents has raised concerns. Educators worry that it may decrease the cognitive functioning of these adolescents. This study of 245 secondary-school students in Palu, Indonesia, reveals that there is a correlation between these students’ diminished perceived attention and the intensity of their internet and social media use. Due to their eagerness to multitask, students who check their social media notifications while doing their online learning experience perceived attention discontinuity. This study suggests the significance of prevention and intervention for adolescents’ media-related problems as they multitask in their online learning environments.

The goal of this study was to identify the factors that affect geography students' abilities to use digital tsunami-based maps for disaster mitigation. Multiple linear regression analysis is used in this work. The findings demonstrated that students' learning outcomes in the disaster mitigation sub-materials were significantly impacted by the usage of digital maps in geography instruction. In using software to write a scientific, technical, or other scholarly document, authors have essentially two options. They can either write it in a ‘what you see is what you get’ (WYSIWYG) editor such as a word processor, or write it in a text editor using a markup language such as HTML, LaTeX, Markdown, or AsciiDoc.

Purpose: The paucity of empirical evidence on the limitations of the industrial attachment programme of technical universities for enhancing students' human capital in Africa tends to thwart concrete policy options. Design/methodology/approach: The study used the convergent mixed methods including 594 surveys, two focus groups and in-depth interviews to assess and accentuate the research gap in this study. Findings: Evidence of constraints linked to the industrial attachment programme for developing students' human capital needs include limited funding, logistics and incentive for supervision, incompatible placement and exploitation and sexual harassment of students.
