This article analyzes such an aspect in the work of the American writer Isaac Asimov as modeling the society of the future. It is determined that the main problem before the next step in the development of society, Azimov considers distrust of technologies, and, sometimes, even a certain fear of them. It also turns out that Asimov sees science fiction as a solution to this problem, which he formulates in terms of the theory of evolution. The article notes that dignitaries are an important element of spiritual heritage, national cultural wealth and a complex of ancient historical monuments. The active use of the period and the historical study of the names given to historical figures, the names analyzed today. It is well known that dignitonyms, like other onomastic units, consist of words. The words that they contain are onomastic lexicons based on the names of things, events, and so on. Today, the Eastern philosophical thinking, the valuable works are important to learn a unique study of the spiritual heritage of our ancestors. Therefore, especially in the middle of the East Asia one of the famous Hussein Waz Kashifi and "Akhlaki Mukhsini", "Risolay Khotamiya", "Anvori Suhaili", "Akhloki Karim", "Lubob-ul ma'navi fi-intikhobi", "Masnaviy", "Javohirnoma" are reflected in its philosophical and moral reasoning remains as a source of research, analysis and to the open position of the Eastern philosophy in the East, especially in the Central Asia. Many Black women professionals at predominantly White colleges and universities share similar experiences regarding racism, sexism, and classism at their institutions. However, there is a dearth of research regarding the experiences of Black women who specifically work in diversity related positions at four-year predominantly White institutions (PWI). The purpose of this study was to explore the lived experiences of Black women who hold diversity related roles at PWIs. For the purpose of this study, diversity positions were defined as roles held in housing and residence life as well as in multicultural affairs departments and centers. The purpose of this dissertation is to explore the lived experiences of female United States Army veterans who have enrolled in an academic undergraduate program post discharge. As higher education continues to be an important transition point for female veterans, understanding the lived experiences of this population provides higher education administrators and faculty the opportunity to create and implement services and programs that will appropriately assist this population in their educational journey. Using a phenomenological methodology (Moustakas, 1994; Patton, 2015; van Manen,1990) thirteen female veterans across five different eras (Vietnam, 1980’s peacetime, Desert Storm, Iraq and Afghanistan) took part in …

The transition to university represents a major life change more incoming students. To facilitate this transition, USU adopted a phased-orientation system that provides students information justin- time for use. Currently, Module 3 can be completed either in-person or online. This analysis explores both the impact of the phased-orientation modules and the impact of completing Module 3 online verse in-person on student persistence to the next term. METHODS: First students who completed Module 3 online were compared to students who completed Module 3 in-person. Next students who completed all 5 modules were compared to students who only completed the required modules. …

The Utah State University (USU) Writing Center is dedicated to empowering students to express their knowledge and ideas in writing. Their approach promotes academic inquiry, critical thinking, and expressions of diversity. While research and evaluation suggest that the Writing Center significantly impacts student academic performance, the impact on student persistence is not yet clear. This report explores the association between USU’s Writing Center and students’ persistence toward graduation. METHODS: Students’ Writing Center use was captured through student log-ins at writing appointments.
