The unidentified authors review the data used in Western Kentucky University's Athletic Program: Financial Burden or Boon?. They state, "we describe and evaluate the PBG model, which poorly describes the data and fails to identify the major factor in Western's enrollment changes. Further statistical analysis of the same data provides a model that better describes the data, identifies the major factor relating to WKU enrollment and indicates that WKU sports performance has no significant effect on enrollment."
