High levels of teacher efficacy are consistently identified as having a strong impact on student achievement. This is reasoned by Donohoo (2016) as “If educators’ realities are filtered through the belief that they can do very little to influence student achievement, then it is very likely these beliefs will be manifested in their practice” (p. 7). Conversely, when educators believe they influence student achievement the results are very positive. Hattie (2016) indicates that a strong collective efficacy is the greatest single factor that influences student achievement.

The present study examined teachers’ perceptions of targeted professional learning experiences offered within their educational agency. This study focused on teachers' perceptions of the planning, delivery, and follow-up support from teacher professional learning sessions. The teacher participants shared their perceptions of professional learning, implementation of new strategies, barriers to implementation, and support needed from their administration in order to grow as educators. This focus of this study aims to reframe professional learning by forming cooperation between administrators and teachers within education organizations to reform professional learning opportunities. Guided by Rendón’s (1994) Validation Theory, this qualitative case study focused on first generation African American men students’ perceptions of academic and interpersonal validation they received from faculty at a minority serving community college and how such validating behaviors was instrumental to their success. Twenty first generation African American men students were interviewed. Findings indicate that when faculty demonstrate care and concern; are observant, approachable, and create interesting and stimulating class environments; are intentional in using encouraging and affirming validating words; and treat students as individuals and not just learners, first generation African American men students perceive them as supporting …

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ ศึกษาสภาพปัจจุบัน สภาพที่พึงประสงค์และความต้องการจำเป็นของการบริหารวิชาการของโรงเรียนกวดวิชาในกรุงเทพมหานครตามแนวคิดการศึกษาแบบเรียนรวม โดยใช้กรอบการบริหารวิชาการร่วมกับกรอบการศึกษาแบบเรียนรวม ผู้ให้ข้อมูล โรงเรียนกวดวิชาในกรุงเทพมหานคร จำนวน 52 โรงเรียน แบ่งเป็น ผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา จำนวน 52 คน ครู จำนวน 59 คน และนักเรียน จำนวน 93 คน รวมผู้ให้ข้อมูลทั้งสิ้น 204 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบสอบถามลักษณะมาตราส่วนประมาณค่า 5 ระดับ ซึ่งผ่านการตรวจสอบความครอบคลุมและความเหมาะสม (Item Objective Congruence: IOC) โดยผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ 5 ท่าน สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ การแจกแจงความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ยเลขคณิต ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และค่าดัชนีลำดับความต้องการจำเป็น (PNImodified) ผลการวิจัย พบว่า 1) สภาพปัจจุบันของการบริหารวิชาการของโรงเรียนกวดวิชาในกรุงเทพมหานครตามแนวคิดการศึกษาแบบเรียนรวม โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง โส่วนสภาพอันพึงประสงค์โดยภาพรวม อยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด ค่าดัชนีความต้องการจำเป็นในการบริหารวิชาการด้านที่มีลำดับความต้องการจำเป็นสูงที่สุด คือ การวัดและประเมินผล (PNImodified = 0.513) 2) โดยตามแนวคิดการศึกษาแบบเรียนรวมด้านที่มีความต้องการจำเป็นพัฒนาสูงที่สุด คือ ด้านนักเรียนที่มีความต้องการพิเศษและนักเรียนทั่วไปทุกคนมีผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนทางวิชาการ ทักษะการสื่อสารและทักษะทางสังคมดีขึ้นนักเรียนชอบไปโรงเรียนและมีความพึงพอใจในครูผู้สอนมากขึ้น รวมทั้งมีแรงจูงใจในการทำงานการเรียนและทัศนคติเชิงบวกมากขึ้น แนวทางพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาการของโรงเรียนกวดวิชาตามแนวคิดการศึกษาแบบเรียนรวม ที่มีความเหมาะสมและเป็นไปได้ แบ่งออกเป็น 3 แนวทาง

Today, the common discourse surrounding student-athletes’ Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) Rights is evolving from an archaic sense of paternalism and conservative protectionism to various forms of redistribution such as salaries and endorsement rights. Although I have found the NCAA’s protectionist stance on amateurism to be outdated, I do not find the salarying of student-athletes to be tenable for the majority of higher education institutions. The Association for Communication Administration (ACA), founded in Chicago in 1972, claimed a membership of one hundred and two departments. It was an independent organization but shared resources with what is now the National Communication Association. Initial membership included theatre and broadcast programs under the umbrella of communication. These programs would create their own independent associations. ACA’s mission was to promote the role of communication administrators, chairpersons to university presidents, in academia. It has weathered the ebbs and flows of any organization as it moves towards its fiftieth anniversary. A newsletter to the membership led to the creation of JACA …

In 1903 at Iowa State College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts, a Public Speaking department emerged. This transition occurred over a decade prior to public speaking teachers seceding from English. Members of the department played foundational roles in establishing the national association and moving the discipline toward research-driven initiatives in order to secure legitimacy across academic landscapes. Surviving two World Wars, the Great Depression and title merger with English, the department again emerged as an independent academic unit prior to the 1970s. The department included faculty from areas of speech, drama, telecommunicative arts, and speech disorders, which progressed until its …

การวิจัยมีวัตถุประสงค์ดังนี้ 1) เพื่อศึกษาความต้องการจำเป็นของการพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาการโรงเรียนปฐมวัยในตำบลตะเบาะ จังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์ ตามแนวคิดทักษะชีวิตประชาธิปไตย 2) เพื่อนำเสนอแนวทางพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาโรงเรียนปฐมวัยในตำบลตะเบาะ จังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์ ตามแนวคิดทักษะชีวิตประชาธิปไตย ใช้วิธีวิจัยเชิงบรรยาย ผู้ให้ข้อมูลประกอบไปด้วย ผู้บริหาร และครู ปฐมวัยโรงเรียนปฐมวัยในตำบลตะเบาะ จำนวน 10 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบไปด้วย 1) แบบสอบถามเกี่ยวกับสภาพปัจจุบันและสภาพที่พึงประสงค์ของการบริหารวิชาการโรงเรียนปฐมวัยฯ และ 2) แบบประเมินความเหมาะสมและความเป็นไปได้ของ (ร่าง) แนวทางฯ สถิติที่ใช้วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลประกอบไปด้วย การแจกแจงความถี่ (Frequency) การหาค่าร้อยละ (Percentage) การหาค่าเฉลี่ยเลขคณิต (X) ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (SD) การวิเคราะห์ความต้องการจำเป็น Priority Need Index (PNI [modified]) และ ฐานนิยม (Mode) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) สภาพปัจจุบันและสภาพที่พึงประสงค์ของการพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาการโรงเรียนปฐมวัย พบว่าสภาพปัจจุบันโดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก (X = 3.82) สภาพที่พึงประสงค์โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด (X = 4.95) และลำดับความต้องการจำเป็นโดยรวม คือ 0.279 โดยองค์ประกอบของการบริหารวิชาการที่มีลำดับความต้องการจำเป็นสูงที่สุด คือ การวัดและประเมินผลพัฒนาการ (PNI [modified] = 0.335) รองลงมาคือ การจัดประสบการณ์การเรียนรู้ (PNI [modified] = 0.281) และ ทักษะชีวิตประชาธิปไตยด้านที่มีลำดับความต้องการจำเป็นสูงที่สุด คือ การคิดอย่างมีปัญญาและจริยธรรม (PNI [modified] = 0.345) และ ด้านที่ต่ำที่สุด คือ การแสดงอารมณ์ที่เหมาะสม (PNI [modified] = 0.249) 2) แนวทางพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาการโรงเรียนปฐมวัยในตำบลตะเบาะ มี 3 แนวทางหลัก 4 แนวทางย่อย 20 วิธีดำเนินการในการพัฒนาการบริหาวิชาการฯ โดยเรียงตามลำดับความต้องการจำเป็น ดังนี้ (1) พลิกโฉมการวัดและประเมินผลพัฒนาการของผู้เรียนเพื่อส่งเสริมทักษะชีวิตประชาธิปไตย (2) …

As technology has become ubiquitous in our society, students’ use has increased and impacted the school environment. In the spring of 2020, many public places closed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Most public schools in the United States suddenly closed buildings as educators and students scrambled to adapt to distance education. This phenomenological, qualitative study holistically explores elementary educators’ experiences during the extended school closures. The 18current elementary educators who participated in individual interviews, served rural, elementary students. Individual interviews allowed participants to discuss and explain their experiences concerning methods, materials, time commitments, and communication with colleagues, parents, and students.
