The Soul Of The Firm (Santa Fe, Nm), C. William Pollard
C. William Pollard Papers
This speech was delivered at the 1997 fall seminar of the Evangelical Christian Publishing Association in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In it Pollard addresses what he calls the "confusion" and "insecurity" felt by many Americans at the turn of the century. To remedy this situation the corporate leader must adopt a servant attitude, one that helps her prioritize the well-being of the people who make up any given institution.

C. William Pollard Papers
In this address to the Baptist Healthcare Association (Scottsdale, AZ), Pollard applauds religious healthcare institutions for their commitment to the physical and spiritual welfare of the human person. With this holistic approach, they refuse to submit to the logic of simple economic efficiency and thus serve as a prime example of servant leadership.

Vietnam has evolved from one of the worst performing economies in Asia during the early 1980s, to winning the Euromoney Best Managed Economy Award in the '90s. Foreign investors, betting that Vietnam was serious about its economic reforms, rushed to penetrate this market. Some succeeded, many failed. Vietnam must now respond to the challenge of rising expectations by foreign investors while delivering increased variety and quality of goods demanded by its people. The transition from a command to a market economy continues to lurch forward, creating a promising but perilous marketing environment. Survival Of Women In The Business World Into The Twenty-First Century, Barbara Bradford
Survival Of Women In The Business World Into The Twenty-First Century, Barbara Bradford
Theses
This thesis is a review of the current literature that pertains to the everyday experiences of women in the male dominated working world. This study focuses on the barriers preventing women from advancing where men succeed.
When women enter the workforce, they are naïve about the organizational culture surrounding them. The natural feminine instincts and behaviors of women are not considered as valuable in the corporate world as male instincts and behaviors.
Women are unaware of the subtle and underlying rules of the corporate game in this "man's world." They see men adapting easily and advancing up the corporate ladder. …
