In this study, we analyze the aspect ratings and overall ratings of chain restaurants retrieved from the TripAdvisor multi-dimensional rating system. We gain aspect ratings including food aspect rating, value aspect rating, service aspect rating, and atmosphere aspect rating and their corresponding overall restaurant rating from individual reviews and each restaurant. We build three econometric models to examine how overall rating is affected and found that the food aspect has a significant positive impact on the overall rating. This study analyzes 2012 General Social Survey data (N = 1,089) about preferences for paid paternity leave availability, lengths of leave offerings, and government funding of leaves. It highlights gender and gendered parenting role attitudes as predictors of leave preferences. Descriptive results revealed sizable (i.e., 53 percent) support for leave availability and moderate (i.e., 33 percent) support for some government funding; still, only modest (i.e., five weeks) lengths of leave offerings were desired. Regression results indicated that women were typically more likely than men to support more generous leave offerings. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of sick, well, and healed appeals while examining the interaction effect of the saliency of environmental issues in the fashion industry on consumer responses. A 3 x 2 experimental study was conducted with the appeals (sick vs. well vs. healed appeals) and the salience for environmental issues in fashion (low vs. high) as independents and positive and negative anticipated emotions as mediators, leading to purchase intentions. We examined the interplay effects of device types (touch vs. non-touch) and the tactile sensitivity (fur vs. woven) on the product attitudes mediated by the mental simulation for touch. The participants from MTurk were randomly assigned to one of two tactile conditions. Responses from those who used tablets (n=83, touch device) and laptops (n=96, non-touch device) were included in the analysis. The main effects of device types and tactile-sensitivity on the mental simulation for touch were significant. The interaction effect of device types and tactile sensitivity was also significant. The purpose of this study was to employ a network perspective to detect fluctuations in tourism (at the level of tourism areas and by inbound tourism markets) that co-occur with hazardous events. Specifically, the study focuses on the Air Travel Tourism (ATT) network of the Hawaiian Islands and its changes with the incidence of nine hazardous events from 2015 to 2021. การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาถึงสาเหตุของการเกิดอุบัติเหตุทางทะเลที่เกิดจากเรือนำเที่ยวทางทะเลของจังหวัดภูเก็ต และจัดทำข้อเสนอแนะในการป้องกันการเกิดอุบัติเหตุทางทะเลที่เกิดจากเรือนำเที่ยวทางทะเลของจังหวัดภูเก็ต ใช้เทคนิคเดลฟาย (Delphi Technique) โดยสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกผู้เชี่ยวชาญ 3 รอบ ประกอบด้วย ผู้เชี่ยวชาญจากหน่วยงานภาครัฐ ผู้ปฏิบัติงานหรือประกอบอาชีพ และเจ้าของกิจการธุรกิจ นักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยและต่างชาติ และนักวิชาการ รวม 31 คน ผลการศึกษาพบว่า รายละเอียดสาเหตุของการเกิดอุบัติเหตุทางทะเลที่เกิดจากเรือนำเที่ยวทางทะเล ที่พบมากที่สุด ประกอบด้วย 2 สาเหตุหลัก ได้แก่ สภาพอากาศเลวร้าย เปลี่ยนแปลงฉับพลัน ค่าเฉลี่ย 3.64 ± 0.63 (mean ± SD) ฐานนิยม (mode) เท่ากับ 4.00 และการเดินเรือด้วยความเร็วสูง ค่าเฉลี่ย 3.57 ± 0.635 (mean ± SD) ฐานนิยม (mode) เท่ากับ 4.00 ข้อเสนอแนะในการป้องกันการเกิดอุบัติเหตุที่เกิดจากเรือนำเที่ยวทางทะเล ได้แก่ ควรมีป้ายแสดงข้อมูลที่ชัดเจน เกี่ยวกับข้อปฏิบัติ และข้อห้ามต่างๆที่ท่าเรือแก่นักท่องเที่ยว และควรมีข้อบังคับสำหรับผู้นำเที่ยวในการให้ข้อมูลกับนักท่องเที่ยวตามรายละเอียดบนป้ายดังกล่าวก่อนออกเดินทาง และควรมีหน่วยงานภาครัฐหรือเจ้าหน้าที่จากภาครัฐประจำแต่ละท่าเรือ เพื่อตรวจสอบความพร้อมเรือ ผู้ปฏิบัติงาน นักท่องเที่ยว ก่อนออกเดินทาง

In this study, we propose a trading optimization methodology for the pair trading strategy. The Johansen cointegration test and the correlation measure are used for pair selection. We apply Deep-Q-network (DQN) technique in which the trainable reinforcement learning agent is designed to directly control the trading positions. The maximum overlap discrete wavelet transformation (MODWT) algorithm is used for generating the trading signal from the spread time series. Wavelet signal preprocessing is used to extract the original time series into cyclic time series components and long-term behavior components. Can Gambling Increase Savings? Empirical Evidence On Prize- Linked Savings Accounts, Shawn Cole, Benjamin Iverson, Peter Tufano

This paper studies the adoption and impact of prize-linked savings (PLS) accounts, which offer lottery-like payouts to individual account holders in lieu of interest. Using microlevel data from a bank in South Africa, we show that PLS is attractive to a broad group of individuals, with financially constrained individuals and those with no other deposit accounts particularly likely to participate. Individuals who choose to use PLS increase their total savings on average by 1% of annual income. Exploiting the random assignment of prizes,we present causal evidence that PLS substitutes for lottery gambling but is a complement to standard savings.

งานวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา วิเคราะห์ เพื่อทำความเข้าใจการท่องเที่ยวเชิงการแพทย์ในมิติทางสังคม สำรวจประเด็นสำคัญ และผลกระทบที่เกิดขึ้นแล้วและอาจจะเกิดขึ้นทางด้านสังคม สุขภาพ ที่อาจจะมาจากการส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงการแพทย์ โดยผู้วิจัยได้กำหนดระเบียบวิธีการวิจัยหรือกระบวนวิธีการวิจัยประกอบไปด้วยการศึกษาและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลจากเอกสารและการสัมภาษณ์บุคคลจำนวน 20 คน จากนั้นจึงนำข้อมูลที่ได้มาวิเคราะห์เชิงเนื้อหาและเขียนรายงานผลงานวิจัยในลักษณะเชิงพรรณนา ผลการศึกษาพบว่า จากวิกฤตเศรษฐกิจในปี พ.ศ.2540 โรงพยาบาลเอกชนต้องหาโอกาสใหม่ๆ ทดแทนการรายได้จากกลุ่มลูกค้าที่เป็นคนไทย จึงได้หันไปหากลุ่มลูกค้าจากต่างประเทศซึ่งเป็นประเทศที่มีกำลังซื้อสูง ต่อมารัฐบาลประสบปัญหาขาดดุลเดินสะพัดติดต่อกันหลายปี จึงได้มีการกำหนดนโยบายการพัฒนาประเทศไทยให้เป็นศูนย์กลางสุขภาพของเอเชีย โดยไทยมีการท่องเที่ยวเป็นทุนเดิมอยู่แล้ว มีกลุ่มสถานพยาบาลเอกชนที่ได้รับมาตรฐานด้านการบริการด้านสุขภาพหลายแห่ง ด้วยจุดแข็งเหล่านี้ จึงพัฒนาแผนและนโยบายเพื่อการเป็นศูนย์กลางสุขภาพ (Medical hub) ในระดับเอเชีย ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่จะถูกมองไปในด้านของผลดีด้านเศรษฐกิจรายได้กำไรที่เพิ่มขึ้นของประเทศ จึงมีประเด็นว่าผลกระทบการท่องเที่ยวเชิงการแพทย์นั้นมักจะไม่ได้รับการพิจารณาอย่างถี่ถ้วนเมื่อมีการผลักดันนโยบายนี้ ดังนั้น การศึกษามิติทางสังคมของการท่องเที่ยวเชิงการแพทย์ได้สำรวจประเด็นสำคัญไว้ดังนี้ 1. แนวคิดและนิยามของการท่องเที่ยวเชิงการแพทย์ (Medical Tourism) และนักท่องเที่ยวเชิงการแพทย์ (Medical Tourists) 2. ผลกระทบต่ออัตรากำลังบุคลากรทางการแพทย์และอัตราค่ารักษาพยาบาล 3. ผลกระทบจากโลกาภิวัตน์และกระบวนการทำให้เป็นสินค้า 4. มาตรฐานคุณภาพโรงพยาบาล 5. ผลกระทบด้านการแพร่กระจายปัญหาการแพร่กระจายของเชื้อดื้อยา และโรคติดต่อที่ระบาดครั้งใหญ่ ซึ่งประเด็นเหล่านี้เป็นสิ่งสำคัญ ในอีกมุมหนึ่ง การท่องเที่ยวเชิงการแพทย์มีส่วนที่ทำให้การรักษาพยาบาลในยุคปัจจุบันเปรียบเสมือนเป็นสินค้าชนิดหนึ่งที่รองรับนักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติและกลุ่มคนที่มีฐานะด้านการเงิน เรื่องนี้จึงมีความซับซ้อนและต้องทำความเข้าใจจากหลายแง่มุม และจำเป็นอย่างยิ่งที่ควรจะมีการศึกษาพิจารณาจากแง่มุมที่ไม่ได้มีการพูดถึงมากนัก ทั้งในเรื่องของคำนิยามและความหมายของการท่องเที่ยวเชิงการแพทย์และนักท่องเที่ยวเชิงการแพทย์ ปรากฏการณ์โลกาภิวัตน์ตามกระแสเสรีนิยมใหม่ซึ่งทำให้เรื่องการท่องเที่ยวเชิงการแพทย์โยงใยได้กับข้อถกเถียงเรื่องความเป็นธรรมทางสังคมที่เกิดขึ้นจากการส่งเสริมธุรกิจและอุตสาหกรรมนี้ การทำความเข้าใจที่ชัดเจนขึ้นจะนำไปสู่การสร้างแนวทางการเสริมความเป็นธรรมด้านสุขภาพและการกระจายผลประโยชน์ให้สังคมโดยรวมได้ต่อไป

วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อทำความเข้าพัฒนาการแนวคิดและปฏิบัติการของคณะกรรมการประสานงานองค์กรพัฒนาเอกชน (กป.อพช.) และการปรับตัวของ กป.อพช. ภายหลังการรัฐประหาร 2549 และหลังการรัฐประหาร 2557 ผ่านการวิเคราะห์ปฏิบัติการของ กป.อพช. และเครือข่าย ภายใต้แนวคิดเรื่องประชาสังคมและกระบวนการสร้างกรอบโครง โดยหลังการรัฐประหารปี 2549 – 2557 วิเคราะห์ผ่าน 3 ปฏิบัติการได้แก่ 1) การจัดทำข้อเสนอแนะรัฐธรรมนูญ พ.ศ. 2550 และการประกาศไม่รับร่างรัฐธรรมนูญ 2) การผลักดันแนวคิดเกษตรกรรมยั่งยืน และ 3) การผลักดันโฉนดชุมชน สำหรับหลังการรัฐประหาร 2557 ศึกษาผ่าน 3 ปฏิบัติการได้แก่ 1) ขบวนการจัดทำข้อเสนอแนะรัฐธรรมนูญ พ.ศ. 2560 และการประกาศไม่รับร่างรัฐธรรมนูญ 2) การคัดค้านนโยบายทวงคืนผืนป่า และ 3) การคัดค้านการสร้างโรงไฟฟ้าถ่านหินเทพา ผลการศึกษาพบว่า พลวัตแนวคิดและปฏิบัติการขององค์กรพัฒนาเอกชน สามารถแบ่งออกเป็น 5 ช่วงเวลาสำคัญ ช่วงแรก ช่วงหลังป่าแตก ปี 2523 ถึงช่วงปี 2534 เน้นการทำงานพัฒนาชนบท ภายใต้แนวคิดวัฒนธรรมชุมชน ช่วงที่สอง ช่วงหลังเหตุการณ์พฤษภาคม 2535 ถึงช่วงปี 2543 องค์กรพัฒนาเอกชนเติบโตภายใต้เงื่อนไขการทำงานสนับสนุนชาวบ้านในการเคลื่อนไหวท้าทายอำนาจรัฐจากการแย่งชิงทรัพยากร ด้วยแนวคิดเรื่องสิทธิชุมชน ขณะที่อีกด้านหนึ่งก็ผลักดันทางเลือกการพัฒนาเข้าไปในรัฐ ช่วงที่สาม ยุครัฐบาลทักษิณ ปี 2544 ถึงช่วงปี 2549 องค์กรพัฒนาเอกชนผลักดันนโยบายเข้าไปในรัฐแต่สุดท้ายรัฐเข้ามาแทนที่ ในอีกด้านหนึ่งก็พยายามท้าทายอำนาจรัฐและนำไปสู่ขบวนการขับไล่รัฐบาล ช่วงที่สี่ ยุคหลังรัฐประหารปี 2549 ถึงการรัฐประหารปี 2557 เกิดการแตกแยกภายใน แต่องค์กรพัฒนาเอกชนพยายามเคลื่อนไหวเพื่อผลักดันเชิงโครงสร้างและปรับตัวเป็นองค์กรวิชาชีพ ช่วงที่ห้า ช่วงรัฐประหารปี 2557 ถึงช่วงการเลือกตั้งปี 2562 แม้จะยังมีการการแบ่งแยกภายใน แต่ กป.อพช. ยังเคลื่อนไหวเพื่อผลักดันเชิงโครงสร้างและตอบโต้นโยบายรัฐ ในขณะที่บางส่วนเข้าไปผนวกกับรัฐ สำหรับการปรับตัวของ กป.อพช. พบว่าภายหลังการรัฐประหาร 2549 พื้นที่ขององค์กรพัฒนาเอกชนหดแคบและมีความขัดแย้งภายใน แต่ กป.อพช.และเครือข่าย มีความพยายามในการปรับตัวใน 4 ลักษณะ …

การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาบทบาทและกระบวนการทำงานของโครงการมหาวิทยาลัยสู่ตำบล สร้างรากแก้วให้ประเทศ (U2T) ที่มีส่วนช่วยในการพัฒนาชุมชนด้านผลิตภัณฑ์ ในชุมชนบ้านทะเลน้อย และชุมชนบ้านวังหว้า จังหวัดระยอง 2) ศึกษาพัฒนาการด้านผลิตภัณฑ์ของชุมชนบ้านทะเลน้อยและชุมชนบ้านวังหว้าหลังจากมีการดำเนินการตามโครงการ U2T 3) ศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการประสบความสำเร็จในการพัฒนาด้านผลิตภัณฑ์ของชุมชน โดยศึกษาเปรียบเทียบระหว่างชุมชนบ้านทะเลน้อยและชุมชนบ้านวังหว้า หลังจากมีการดำเนินการตามโครงการ โดยมีกลุ่มตัวอย่างในการให้ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ชาวบ้าน คณะทำงานโครงการ U2T และเจ้าหน้าที่รัฐในพื้นที่ศึกษา รวมถึงนักวิจัยผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องกับการประเมินโครงการ ด้วยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก ซึ่งกำหนดวิธีเลือกโดยการเจาะจง จำนวน 27 คน และใช้วิธีการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงเนื้อหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) การทำงานของโครงการมีส่วนช่วยในการพัฒนาชุมชนด้านผลิตภัณฑ์ ตั้งแต่การสำรวจปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้นในชุมชน คิดกิจกรรมการอบรมที่ชาวบ้านต้องการเพื่อตอบสนองและแก้ไขปัญหา โดยเฉพาะความรู้เกี่ยวกับด้านผลิตภัณฑ์ 2) พัฒนาการด้านผลิตภัณฑ์ของชุมชนดีขึ้น ได้แก่ ผลิตภัณฑ์ที่พัฒนาจากการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมอบรม และผลิตภัณฑ์ที่พัฒนาจากการช่วยเหลือของโครงการ 3) ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการประสบความสำเร็จในการพัฒนาด้านผลิตภัณฑ์ของชุมชนหลังดำเนินการตามโครงการ คือ ความรู้ความสามารถ การเอาใจใส่ต่อโครงการของอาจารย์ผู้รับผิดชอบโครงการ ความเข้มแข็งของผู้นำชุมชน การมีส่วนร่วมจากทุกภาคส่วน ความร่วมมือจากชาวบ้าน การมีทุนทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและทรัพยากรมนุษย์ และการสร้างการมีส่วนได้ให้ชุมชน ซึ่งสิ่งเหล่านี้เป็นปัจจัยที่ช่วยให้โครงการดำเนินการได้อย่างราบรื่น

ปัญหาคนกับช้างป่าเกิดจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงพื้นที่ป่าเป็นพื้นที่เกษตรและที่อยู่อาศัยของคน จึงมีการใช้ทรัพยากรร่วมกัน และทำให้แหล่งอาหารของช้างป่าลดลง ช้างป่าจึงออกมากินผลผลิตภายในไร่ของชาวบ้าน ชุมชนจึงมีความพยายามที่จะแก้ปัญหาในลักษณะต่างๆ งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาสภาพปัญหาคนกับช้างป่าและผลกระทบจากช้างป่าต่อการดำรงชีพของชุมชนบ้านรวมไทย และศึกษากระบวนการมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชนบ้านรวมไทย ตำบลหาดขาม อำเภอกุยบุรี จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ร่วมกับหน่วยงานและองค์กรที่เกี่ยวข้องในการแก้ไขปัญหาคนกับช้างป่าในบริเวณอุทยานแห่งชาติกุยบุรี เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ ใช้วิธีการสัมภาษณ์เจาะลึก กลุ่มผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญคือ ชาวบ้านผู้ได้รับผลกระทบจากช้างป่า และเจ้าหน้าที่หน่วยงาน องค์กรที่เกี่ยวข้อง จำนวน 33 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบสัมภาษณ์แบบกึ่งโครงสร้าง และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ปัญหาคนกับช้างป่าในพื้นที่ชุมชนหมู่บ้านรวมไทย เกิดจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงการใช้ประโยชน์ที่ดินจากพื้นที่ป่ามาทำการเกษตรปลูกไร่สับปะรด เป็นสาเหตุที่ดึงดูดช้างป่าให้เข้ามาในพื้นที่และทำให้พฤติกรรมของช้างป่าเปลี่ยนแปลงไป จากการอพยพหาแหล่งอาหารในป่าลึก มาเป็นการปักหลักอยู่กับที่ ผลกระทบที่เกิดขึ้นด้านทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ คือ ผลผลิตทางการเกษตร ถูกทำลาย ส่งผลกระทบต่อด้านการเงิน เพราะผลผลิตที่ถูกทำลายคือรายได้ของชาวบ้านที่จะได้รับ ส่งผลกระทบต่อด้านสุขภาพร่างกายและใจ เนื่องด้วยชาวบ้านต้องปกป้องผลผลิตทางเกษตร จึงต้องไปนอนเฝ้าไร่ตลอดทั้งคืน เกิดการอ่อนล้า อ่อนเพลีย หวาดระแวง และวิตกกังวล ส่งผลกระทบต่อการใช้ชีวิตประจำวัน จึงเกิดวิธีการแก้ไขการแก้ไขปัญหาโดยการใช้กระบวนการมีส่วนร่วมระหว่างชาวบ้านกับเจ้าหน้าที่หน่วยงาน/องค์กรที่เกี่ยวข้อง ทำให้เกิดขั้นตอนการทำงาน ดังนี้ 1) การค้นหาปัญหา โดยให้ข้อมูลผลกระทบที่ได้รับ ทรัพยากรที่มี และปัญหาการปฏิบัติงาน 2) การวางแผน โดยการจัดตั้งและบริหารชมรมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงอนุรักษ์สัตว์ป่า ร่วมคิดกิจกรรมท่องเที่ยวชมสัตว์ป่า กำหนดกฎระเบียบสำหรับมัคคุเทศก์ท้องถิ่นและผู้ขับรถนำชมสัตว์ป่า 3) การดำเนินการ โดยร่วมบริหารจัดการชมรมฯ การบริการนักท่องเที่ยว และช่วยเหลืองานอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสัตว์ป่า 4) การรับและแบ่งปันผลประโยชน์ โดยได้ค่าตอบแทนเมื่อเข้ามาปฏิบัติงานร่วมกับหน่วยงาน และได้รับการช่วยเหลือเยียวยาในกรณีเกิดเหตุร้ายแรง และ 5) การประเมินผล โดยการแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลกับหน่วยงาน และรับฟังข้อคิดเห็นและข้อเสนอแนะเพื่อการปรับปรุงงาน โดยระดับการมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชนอยู่ในขั้นการมีส่วนร่วมอย่างแท้จริง นำมาซึ่งผลกระทบด้านสังคม ที่ทำให้ชุมชนเกิดกลุ่มอาชีพต่าง ๆ ภายในชุมชน ข้อมูลความรู้ที่ได้จากการวิจัยนี้สามารถนำไปเป็นแนวทางการแก้ไขปัญหาคนกับช้างป่าเพื่อลดปัญหาความรุนแรงที่เกิดขึ้น เพราะประเทศไทยมีหลายพื้นที่ที่ประสบปัญหาเช่นเดียวกัน

Prior research documents that financial capacity could be positively or negatively associated with the demand for audit quality. We re-examine this relation using changes in local real estate prices as exogenous shocks to corporate financial capacity. Using auditor size, auditor industry specialisation, and auditor fees as measures of audit quality, we find robust evidence that an increase (decrease) in financial capacity significantly reduces (increases) the demand for audit quality, and that this relation is more pronounced when firms are more financially constrained, when external monitoring by institutional investors and financial analysts is weaker, and when there is more negative news …

This study investigates the characteristics, nature and extent of proposed audit adjustments to the financial statements of listed companies in Singapore. Data was gathered from the 2018 to 2020 financial statements of 412 companies, along with views of close to 280 audit committee chairs and heads of finance (or similar designations) on the effectiveness of their companies’ finance function.
