The flow experience can be an important precursor to high levels of creativity and innovation. Prior work has identified and conceptualized the key elements of the flow experience in cocreative activities as individual flow corridor, individual flow feeling, and group flow. Surprisingly, the flow experience is underrepresented in theory and practice of design thinking. In this empirical study, the flow experience at the individual and group level was investigated in a 1-day design thinking exercise. The study investigates the dynamism of working capital requirement (WCR) in non-financial firms listed on Pakistan Stock Exchange from the period of 2007 to 2013. The purpose of this research is to analyze whether firms follow the target WCR, to estimate the speed with which firms adjust towards its target WCR and to investigate the firm specific and macroeconomic determinants of WCR. This study investigates the high-low intraday Performance of Initial Public Offering (IPO) during Global Financial Crisis (GFC) from January 2006 to December 2011. Models comprise of hierarchical and dummy variable regressions are evaluated. Our results show: Firstly, it can be observed that intraday IPOs performance are generally lower due to the GFC; Secondly, investors receive 7 to 30 percent IPO intraday returns on average in the first trading day of pre-GFC, -5 to 11 percent during GFC, and -4 to 14 percent in the post-GFC; and thirdly, the GFC does not act as a moderator that worsens the relationship between …

We examine the intraday trading and price change for frequently traded stocks in Indonesian Stock Exchange. Using bid and ask price, trade price, number of trade, trade volume, we estimate trading friction and spread decomposition. The objective of the estimation is to infer what is the biggest component of trading friction. The result of 50 most frequently traded stocks in the Indonesian Stock Exchange using trading friction estimator conclude that the average trading friction of high market capitalization and the most relatively liquid stocks, scattered in various fractions price is equal to 1% per year, and the highest trading frictions …

This research aims to test the sensitivity level of liquidity and investment opportunity to investment decision between non-financially and financially constrained firms. Skill Premium Divergence: The Roles Of Trade, Capital And Demographics, Sang-Wook Stanley Cho, Julian Diaz

We construct an applied general equilibrium model to account for diverging patterns of the skill premium. Our framework assesses the roles of various factors that affect the demand and supply of skilled and unskilled labor—shifts in the skill composition of the labor supply, changes in the terms of trade and the complementarity between skilled labor and equipment capital in production. We find that increases in relative skilled labor supply due to demographic changes lead to a decline in the skill premium, while equipment capital deepening raises the relative demand for skilled labor, which in turn increases the skill premium. The Qualitative Report

Identification of potential individuals for leadership roles is a critical aspect of a succession management programme, as other aspects of the programme depend on an effective identification. This study evaluates how the University of Cape Coast (UCC) in Ghana identifies potential non-academic senior members for directorship roles. We collected qualitative data through in-depth interviewing of nine directors at the university. We analysed the data using constant comparison analysis by developing three themes, under each of which we presented similar categories of data. This study examines the intersections between Product Development (PD) and the Supply Chain (SC) and their impact on the performance of New Product Introductions (NPI). We employ a PD/SC interface that consists of multiple viable sub-process connections and explore conjectures from past research that (a) only a selected number of such connections may be necessary and (b) that some may be more valuable than others. Inter-temporal trade-offs are ubiquitous in human decision making. We study the relationship between preferences over such trade-offs and the ratio of the second digit to that of the forth (2D:4D), a marker for pre-natal exposure to sex hormones. Specifically, we study whether 2D:4D affects discounting. Our sample consists of 419 female participants of a Guatemalan conditional cash transfer program who take part in an experiment. Their choices in the convex time budget (CTB) experimental task allow us to make inferences regarding their patience (discounting), while controlling for present-biasedness and preference for smoothing consumption (utility curvature). Leading Economic Indicator Reports

The Leading Economic Indicator – Nebraska (LEI-N) 1 rose by 0.83% during December of 2017. The increase in the LEI-N, which is designed to predict economic activity six months into the future, suggests that the Nebraska economy will grow steadily during the first half of 2018. The December increase primarily resulted from a rise in building permits for single-family homes and positive business expectations. In particular, respondents to the December Survey of Nebraska Business reported plans to increase sales and employment in the coming months. In terms of negative components, there was a decline in airline passenger counts during December.

Objective
The goal of the present study was to use a methodology that accurately and reliably describes the availability, price and quality of healthy foods at both the store and community levels using the Nutrition Environment Measures Survey in Stores (NEMS-S), to propose a spatial methodology for integrating these store and community data into measures for defining objective food access.

Setting
Two hundred and sixty-five retail food stores in and within 2 miles (3·2 km) of Flint, Michigan, USA, were mapped using ArcGIS mapping software.

This paper reports our experience with developing a Business-2-Social (B2S) platform that provides necessary support to all this platform's constituents, namely business processes, social media (e.g., social network), and Internet of Things (IoT). This platform is exemplified with smart cities whose successful management requires a complete integration of IoT and social media capabilities into the business processes implementing user services. To ensure a successful integration, social actions, that a smart city would allow citizens execute, are analyzed in terms of impact of these smart city's business processes. Reactions to these actions are tracked and then analyzed to improve user services.
