Additive manufacturing is defined as the process of joining materials to make objects from 3D model data, as opposed to subtractive manufacturing methodologies. Additive manufacturing positions are growing at an exponential rate, and the adoption of this disruptive technology is projected to have a significant impact on corporate strategies and culture. The purpose of this study was to identify the types of positions available in the additive manufacturing field and the skills and educational background required. The Effect Of Ceo And Cfo Resignations On Going Concern Opinions, Joseph D. Beams, Yun-Chia Yan, Wachira Boonyanet, Pongprot Chatraphorn

Anecdotal evidence suggests that the resignation of a top executive increases a firm’s likelihood of failure. When auditors perceive an increased likelihood of failure, a going concern modified audit opinion is issued. This study tests the relationship between top management resignations and the issuance of going concern audit opinions. The study uses financially distressed firms in the United States from 2008-2010 and a logistic regression model to test the relationship. The findings show a positive relationship between CFO resignations and firms receiving a going concern audit opinion even after controlling for other predictors of a going concern audit opinion. Conclusion

By many different measures, rural Nebraskans are positive about their community. Many rural Nebraskans rate their community favorably on its social dimensions: as friendly, trusting and supportive. Most rural Nebraskans say it would be difficult to leave their community. And, most rural Nebraskans disagree that their community is powerless to control its future.

A heavily debated topic throughout the industry of marketing is the idea of advertising on children. More specifically the idea of how ethical it is to make children a demographic for an advertising audience. This topic brings up a great amount of concerns because of the idea that children are a vulnerable population for advertising and are more easily persuaded towards using their products or services. This review of literature analyzes the use of advertisement directed towards children and the effects that they have on them.

“Gleaning” refers to the mandate within the Mosaic Law that harvesters should leave behind “gleanings” for the sake of the poor who subsist on the literal and figurative margins of society. Although this biblical mandate is generally neglected and considered irrelevant in modern business practice, it holds powerful lessons to help guide modern businesses into transformational solidarity with the poor and marginalized. This paper offers the reader ways for the business practitioner to participate in Christian apologetics. Apologetics is defined. The purpose and tasks of apologetics is described. A case is made for the importance of Christian apologetics. Several tactics are introduced that offer potential for the Christian apologist. A matrix describes the potential opportunities to develop Christian apologetics for the context of business and economics. A discussion follows regarding the implications for business scholars and Christian business school curriculum at all levels.
