Key Findings: 2014 Atrs Global Airport Performance Benchmarking Project, Tae Hoon Oum, Sam Choo, Chunyan Yu

The ATRS Global Airport Benchmarking Project measures and compares the performance of several important aspects of airport operations: Productivity and efficiency, unit costs and cost competitiveness, financial results and airport charges. The report also examines the relationships between various performance measures and airport characteristics as well as management strategies in order to provide a better understanding of observed differences in airport performance. This report includes 200 airports and 26 airport groups of various sizes and ownership forms in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America. This presentation highlights key findings on efficiency and cost.

The Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) is 10 years old and ripe for review. A central output document of the JCIDS process is an Initial Capabilities Document (ICD) used by the Department of Defense to define gaps in a functional capability area and define new capabilities required. The research team analyzed 10 years of ICDs to identify methods and trends. The team found that several methodologies were favored and a convergence emerged in format and necessary content. Angel investors are individual investors who invest in high-risk projects without the assistance of professional portfolio advisors and are an important source of early-stage entrepreneurial financing. When providing financing, an angel must decide how much time to spend on due diligence, the amount of wealth invested, and the degree of post-investment interaction with entrepreneurs. As they are individual investors, angels may be particularly influenced by behavioral factors. After 1998 financial crisis, the growth of Indonesian manufactures sector had been dominated by the technology intensive- tools and machinery sub sector. The development of tools and machinery sub-sector should have increased the demand for skilled and specific labors namely vocational high school (VHS) graduates. Herniated nucleus pulposus (HNP) is a situation where the annulus fibrosus along nucleus pulposus protruding into the spinal canal. HNP patients often complain of back pain radiating to the lower limbs, especially when bending activity. Rehabilitation programs do to help reduce the pain. The aim of this research knew which treatment was more effective among William's Flexion compared to Core Stability in reducing pain for HNP patients. This study aims to examine the determinants of budgetary slack on NGOs. Tests performed by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). This study found evidence that factors budgetary participation, accountability demands, information asymmetry, and the behavior of individual NGOs affect budgetary slack. Also found a correlation between budgetary participation, accountability demands, information asymmetry and the behavior of individual NGOs. This study uses a survey with 210 respondents of the unit of analysis is the individual directors and managers of NGOs.

Over the past few years, researchers have studied the topic of online consumer feedback. Most of these studies focus on consumer decision making, and managing a hotel's image.Consequently, more research could explore consumer-generated feedback from the viewpoint of hotel operations and service quality improvement. The present research explored the ways in which hotel General Managers use feedback from consumers (namely online), experts, and internal sources to improve service quality. A combination of a quantitative survey and qualitative interviews were utilized. In recent years, couponing has emerged as a pop culture phenomenon. Businesses of all types are taking advantage of this resource by revamping their out-dated programs and turning them into something fresh to excite customers. Many questions remain unanswered concerning the viability, profitability, and usefulness of coupons. This study is an analysis of the effectiveness of coupons in enticing return purchases in the soft-drink category and the effectiveness of price discriminating at this grocery store chain.  Inaugural International Rotation Student's Presentation----
Today, our first international rotation students presented to the college what they learned within their four-week rotations. They shared with us how much they will value their experiences here in our region. They further shared that they would not have experienced specific pharmacy specialties in Scotland because they simply do not exist. The students explained they would return to Scotland with a greater understanding of how Pharmacy is practiced in the United States

Foreign investments have evolved over the past two decades to become the most critical business strategies for many companies. While developed countries have been the originators of more than 86% of foreign investment outflows, they receive only 65% of foreign inflows. By contrast, inward investments for developing countries have risen from 28% in 1990 to 53% in 2012. This increase is the result of a growing perception among recipients that attracting FDI to their nations contributes to technology transfer, which enhances human capital formation, leading to reduced income inequality and sustainable economic growth. With the recent addition of Generation Y to the workforce, workplace dynamics are changing to reflect a labor force which now encompasses the four extant commonly working generations. This study seeks to identify generational differences found between two of the generations in the current workforce, Baby Boomers and Generation Y, by isolating a specific work value, work-life balance, as promoted through managerial practices. Limited research has examined the links among the topics of generational differences, work-life balance, and managerial practices. Therefore, this study will attempt to explore the relationships among the three topics.
